  1. I'll bite because something sure does stink!! I'm going to hedge a bet that Dunbars father played for Gaddis, and has been pushing for his boy to be QB since last season, and now a 12-1 QB watched an entire game from the sidelines when he's worked his butt off to get better all summer. THERE......I feel better!!!!
  2. AAA officials were TERRIBLE!!! I'm not a whining fan, just stating facts! I watched a lot of BB this weekend, and will never complain about the refs in our district again. WOW!! If I had to live through officiating incompatency like that all year, I would never go to a game again. My team was the beneficiary of one of those calls, probably changed the "mo" in our favor and got us the win. We were also the victim in the next game. In saying that, I still would rather see refs that can stay out of the flow of the game and just make calls. These guys got caught up in the games and started making calls the way they liked instead of the way they saw it. We must do as other states, and have a grading system instead of the good ol' boy system we have now.
  3. I agree SS, it's not "the reason" OR lost this game, but was an important factor in the game and the momentem. The worst part of the intentional foul call, the fact the same idiot walked into the play on the other end of the court, waved his hands around like he was stopping play so at least half the kids thought play was stopped. Then he just changed his mind like he hadn't done anything, runs down the court and calls a flagrant foul on a player HE PUT IN THAT SITUATION!
  4. For those who like Jeff. Co. in this one, let me post some very interesting stats that my good friend pointed out to me, Jeff. Co. hasn't had a game decided by 5 points or less in 3 months. (12-13-13) Oak Ridge has been involved in games decide by 5 or less 4 games in the last MONTH. Oak Ridge had a tougher schedule, and did better with it. This is Jeff. Counties first trip EVER to the Boro, Oak Ridge was there just last year. I have the Wildcats in this one, close though. ROLL CATS!!!!!!
  5. Halls played OR tough tonight, I think they just ran out of gas when the 3's quit falling. Lots of intensity and desire from the Devils, 23 crossed the line a time or 2 on intensity and dirty, but played his heart out. Great season Wildcats, now go follow it up. No more slow starts!!!
  6. That was a great game! Your right, Powell could not miss through 3 qtrs. It was impressive. I would still love somebody to explain how that Ref gave the Powell player the basket on the blocking call against Isaac (2pts) Then called Isaac for the T, and gave him 4 more foul shots!!! This after a 5 minute discussion at the table. I'm no basketball guru, but I thought he should have recieved 1 free throw for the foul ( remember he got the points for the shot) and 2 free throws for the T. Am I mistaken?
  7. My friend and myself have followed the Wildcats closely this year, and he pointed out a very interesting stat to me. Of the losses the Cats have this year, all but 1 (Powell)were to AA programs. For some strange reason, I'm glad the Cats are AAA.
  8. Coming from an Oak Ridge fan with a lot of time on his hands.... I was most impressed with the defensive backfield play. Seemed like everytime a pass was there for us, the DB's ran the play down and broke it up. I think if anyone is planning on going for the deep ball in the playoffs, it better not be against the Canes. With that being said, 42 killed us!! He can tote the mail. Players were very respectful after the game, had a chance to congratulate a couple on a nice game and they were yes sir, no sir kids, I hope we get to play this program again, they have it going on in East Hamilton.
  9. This OR fan is pulling for both AC and CC....Show them the toughest division!!
  10. Nobody can afford that in the playoffs. Our defense has played their guts out, I just hope Joe lets this offense loose. I think they play so much better when they play fast and wide open. Some drives it wont work out, but that's the only chance we have in the playoffs. What they've been doing hasn't worked offensively, that's for certain
  11. That sounds like good advice. I didn't realize TTU had the Ron Burgundy institute for football announcers. I apologize if I upset you. Just keeping it real
  12. Agreed I think I'm just going to go to this game a proud Wildcat and make some noise!!!!!!
  13. The bears will bring a pretty good team, Maryville will show what a great team looks like, Maryville by as many as they want. Be glad its at the skeeter, the announcer at BC is annoying!! a touchdown = "there's a Bear in the den" a penalty = "there's laundry on the field" I threw up a little even thinking about it....lol
