Ravenwood has an elite defense coming your way this year.

Another thing I remembered hearing about Coach King: "He knows so much about Basketball, he has forgotten more about the game then an average coach will even have a chance to learn."

With team camp in full swing, can I get a way too early power ranking for this district?

He always said "for a songwriter, I'm a pretty good basketball coach"

No reason to hire anyone but Boucher, in my opinion. Unless, as stated earlier, being non-faculty keeps him from getting hired.

Will the new coach be named after team camps?

John Boucher would be a home run hire but with him being non-faculty, can it happen? What team camps is Brentwood attending this year and on what days?

One option is to have football distrcts mirror all other sports districts with three regular season classes (a la z-plan) and then determine playoff placement like the old 5-class system did, with the top 4 teams making to the playoffs. Then the largest two playoff bound schools by enrollment go to the higher classification (6A if in an AAA district) with the other, smaller two playoff teams going to the 5A playoffs. A team will be preclassified into A, AA, or AAA by enrollment for the regular season, but would not know what post-season class they are in until the playoffs. Texas uses something like this already. This is not my personal favorite idea, nor one I would like to see, but some of you may like it.

Oh the irony...

We will never have a system that pleases everyone. The old 5-class system will make the most people happy. Personally, I like the Z-plan, I know most of you guys hate it, and I can understand why most of you hate it. It's just my opinion.

Overton was picked over Ravenwood? Yeah...right. 8-0 last night in favor of ravenwood. Mookie Bets graduated years ago. Ravenwood won, why?Cause they are the better team.

Ravenwood played Blackman. Both teams were very even and were very excited to be back at it.

Watch out for Independence in 5A

Have any outsiders of the Rutherford County System applied? Kevin Creasy? Scott Blade? Will Hester?

William Blount will win the state championship before Hester leaves Ravenwood.

Huge rivalry. Be there by halftime of the JV game or else your butt will be in the aux gym watching the game on a screen. Best rivalry in the mid-state by a landslide. Anyways, the game itself could be great as both teams took one game last year with the Raptor's win at BHS last year an OT Heartstopper. This game also has district standing implications as the winner puts themselves in position to win the district title.

RuCo has been down the past few years top-to-bottom. If each school becomes 5A will it drain the talent pool or make it easier to win state titles, or both.

I may very well be the only Ravenwood person on coacht anymore. I remember the days where people like Rappy, RavenRapOnTheMap32, and others were a thorn on our sides. But those days are long gone. All the taking is now on twitter.

Coach Phillips is the baseball and football coach at woodland that Rebelron is talking about. Phillips would have connections to Maryville via his uncle, rebelron, assuming Rebelron is telling the truth (No reason he wouldn't).
