You know germantown was picked to go to state right 20pts win at their home and Brentwood 28-0. Bradly played with a backup qb and scored 17 points against Oakland. Houston would killed bradly and if you think #17 gone beat Houston by his self you crazy
Bradley didn't play with a backup QB. Kaleb Martin played the whole game

Yes that’s the issue… Oakland is the issue.. they’re Goliath but there’s some major adjustments in the atheletic program here. Bradley’s JV is monsterous. They beat Baylor 41-0, beat Alcoa 6-0 in the 1 quater scrimmage, beat Cleveland 53-21 they went undefeated. Lake Forrest has some insanely talented kids feeding into Bradley …. Lake forest lost one game… so an entirety of 2 losses between the JV… the varsity and the middle school. That’s outstanding…and Bradley built a good starting year so we can pull Clevelands talent next year if they’ll transfer. A lot of them are already dual zoned which is a huge plus.. … I’ve heard Bradley’s next years team will be monsterous. I know for a fact we have j’Allen terry, suskawicz, Zayne machintosh, and several others. But I don’t think maryville is going to get the results they think they’re going to get lol they’re thinking this was a one year wonder… this was just the ramp up year of recruiting lol next year will be almost the same story, bearden will be tough too… Bradley’s coaching and plays improved dramatically this year. Last night in the 3rd creasy was simply getting out coached… and beat to snot by a team half their size….

From my understanding this was the best year for now to take out Oakland, Bc announcers said this team was basically juniors and sophomores
That’s true, Oakland is pretty young overall. They will be even better next year

Hats off to Bradley for fighting back. Seen a lot of teams give up when falling behind to Oakland like they did. Congrats on a great season

BS23, you have a right to your opinion but thinking the Oakland faithful will politely disagree with it. Cant believe none of them have reminded you of the Trojan Horses they witnessed early this season.
He was reminded on the original thread created for this game. Someone tried to tell him how good Center Grove was, but his argument was that Bradley has way more talent on its roster

Looks like the only kicker from 1A since introduction of the award but perfectly encapsulates how Creasy excels in all 3 phases
Creasy has always placed a big emphasis on special teams. And Jared White was probably the best kicker I've seen at that level

Jack Jones 2 times 13' and 14'
Jacoby Stevens 16'
Garret Taylor Kicker of year 18'
2 of those are right, Creasy wasn't the coach at Oakland when Jack Jones was there

Let's try this again...

I give big respect to this Oakland team . It seems all year they have been made out to be less than years past by media and maybe some of own supporters. The 21-22 year with James , Patterson , & Horton went perfect 15-0. At this point James had 158 touches 1283 yards 22 Tds, Patterson 111 touches 801 yards 10 Tds. The 21-22 defense had allowed 172 points thus far , todays team 110 points. Isaiah Horton was big piece of 21-22 offense as well 860 yards 7 Tds. Horton definitely kept defenses honest with vertical threat. Morris has had 241 touches for 2216 yards 27 Tds. Jones 158 touches 1201 yards 19Tds. The production greater offensively this season vs 21-22 which gets me to the point , this years Oline/Dline have been under sold. Offensively the box has been loaded since week one and still had great production . My MVP is do it all TE/T/HB Duce Hewitt. Oakland as last week and this week plays teams with 3 or 4 kids list as top 50 prospects yet they have none. Bigs keep taking your lunch box mentality for next 2 weeks to work.
Without question the offensive/defensive lines are a huge part of their success and I'm not sure they ever receive enough credit, this season and past seasons included. Not a bad call on the MVP either, Hewitt certainly doesn't get the stats but it shouldn't be understated how important he is to the team. As you mentioned, he's used in a few different positions and can do a lot of different things for them. If he's not the most valuable he's certainly in the conversation

Before we completely move on from this game, congratulations are in order for HC Kevin Creasy, who won his 200th game (200-21). 121 of them have been at Oakland
121-9 at Oakland is quite a stat

So looking at the bracket the winner of this game will host the next game. Is that correct?
Yes

The second half of the first game looked to me like Riverdale dominated
I don’t think dominated is the way I would describe it. Riverdale outplayed them in the 2nd half for sure. They were able to put some long scoring drives together but Oakland also turned the ball over deep in their own territory up 17-7 in the 3rd

Some of y’all writing off Riverdale is funny. They got D1 players too and beat Oakland already. That other East Qtrfinal will be another war
Agreed. Think it’s easy to just assume that Oakland will get to the semis again because they always do, but as @MidTennFootball has already pointed out, it’s possible that Riverdale is just the better team this year. Obviously doesn’t mean that Oakland won’t win but Riverdale shouldn’t be written off, because they’re good enough to win it all as well

Oakland defeats the region champion Warriors and marches on to the semifinals. I'll say something like 38-14 sounds right.
Won’t be surprised at all if Oakland wins but I will be surprised if it’s that lopsided

Gameday!!!
Game of the week across the state, and potentially across the nation tonight. The Bears seem to have the upper edge in this one going into it, but Maryville is still Maryville. They’ve been here and done it countless consecutive times. I like Bradley in this one, but as always, they cannot have a down game. Last time they played in the regular season, Bradley had 2 fumbles late inside the red zone that ultimately kept Maryville in the game. A couple turnovers tonight will most likely have a different outcome. Bears protect the ball and they go to the 3rd round.
Excited for this one!!! QB1, Boo, and Jackson Wilson!!! And that defense all around
Across the nation is a bit of a stretch I’d say but I get the point. Should be a great game

I hope you are correct. For me I have been cautiously optimistic with Oakland the entire season. The past several seasons they have been elite and basically unstoppable. I personally haven't had them with that "elite" status at all this year. They can certainly get it done and Creasy will have them well prepared for each and every game. They just have to go out and execute. C'mon Pats, lets make it 4 in a row. Has anyone in 6A ever done that? I would assume if anyone has it would be Maryville.
As far as Mt. Juliet goes, I don't think this is the week that Oakland exits. Oakland by just about as much as they want in this one. Mt. Juliet as others have said has had a easy road with no real competition to be battle tested like many of the others still in the playoffs. For them it's been a case of "If you're the smartest person in the room then you are in the wrong room"
3 in a row had never been done in 6A until Oakland last year, so 4 in a row definitely hasn't

Any news on this opening? Will the Interim get the job?
No idea but just from an outsider's perspective, if Webb wants to continue coaching I would imagine the job would be his. Not sure what the specifics were regarding his resignation before though

I’m proud of the way MJ fought last week after an abysmal 2 week period. Oakland is Oakland and will do Oakland things. Best possible outcome for MJ would be similar to the 24-14 loss we took at Oakland a few years back. Our defense is good enough to get a few stops, but our offense has been completely inept. Losing our best Rb Crudup has hurt us no doubt. I expect some resistance from MJ in the early goings and then the flood gates letting loose eventually.
I'm expecting this game to go pretty much as you described it, especially if MJ isn't able to move the ball with regularity and keep their defense off the field for sustained periods. Oakland's run game will wear you down as the game goes on so you have to be able to help your defense out as much as possible
