Volbert did an outstanding job at Milan back when the district was even tougher than it is now. Last I heard he left Milan. Where did he go and is he the front runner? If so, I think that would be a great fit.

Yeah, Henry County is football country. Hopefully, being in a community that cares about their basketball will help coach. So, has anyone heard if the coach offered last week is taking the job at South?

Been hearing some interesting names at both jobs, still nothing for sure except interviews are taking place. If one that is interviewing today or tomorrow gets the job look for the ripple effect to continue.

Wow!! I read the articles about the prom dress. That is crazy. It seems the only ones who had an issue was the school. The dress wasn't suggestive it was just an expresion of her individuality. She wanted to have a one of a kind dress. I have seen kids wear a whole lot worse than that dress. What is next? You can't wear a grey dress because those were the colors of the Confederate army or you can't wear blue because that was the color of the Union army? We live in the South and that is a part of history like it or not. There is a school a lil ways down the road with the name rebels, I guess that will have to be changed also. Sad

Things sure are quiet in the biggest county in TN. Has anybody heard any names of replacements or when something will be decided?

That is a good spot for her to begin her coaching. She can build that program and she will have lots of support and patience. It will take time to get the program where it needs to be but she will make a positive impact at that school. Wonder if that leaves little Russell going to South Gibson or Gibson? Anyone heard anything? I have heard some names but none I am really familiar with at this time.

I have heard too, one was a little ways from here that she is wanting pretty badly. I think starting out in your home town is a bad choice simply because if things don't go well where else are you going to go and lets face it, she will be under pressure from those pictures on the wall. Now, South Gibson would be interesting for her. Also, have heard Nathan Russell's name mentioned along with a few others.

What names are being floated around....I have heard Dudley but just don't see it...especially at Gibson County.
