  1. When that one player is unhitable and pitches shutouts throughout the Tourny, I'd say she made up the most important part of the team.

I will have to agree. Dominate pitching has a big impact. That being said, who will be stepping up to fill that role this year?

  2. Coach Austin could find a way to make it work, I do not think he would have to give up one to do the other, neither program would have to suffer...I think he is the man for the job, pull the trigger men.

If he does get the job. He will have to coach both this year. Softball is season is here now. I do think it will be difficult to coach both. He has had to cut softball practices short in the past for spring football. I don't see that getting any better. Both teams are very talented and will have success. My question would be "Who would take over softball if he decided to coach football only?". Maybe a softball topic, but they are connected. I think his heart is in football. JMO.

  3. I'm a little biased. I was a catcher and my daughter is a catcher now. I never had any issues but she has had more than her share of plays where the metal cleats impact her thighs and arms. Probably a lack of sliding technique. I do know Shelbyville lost there starting catcher last year sliding with metal cleats. She tore the ligaments in her ankle. I believe it was her senior year. I would like to see them gone. I can see the point with outfielders, but I think they just like the way they sound.

  4. Cascade loss 4-3. Congrats to Pudge on a well coached game.

Jeremy used the bunt well this game, with some timely hitting from the ladies in blue. It was a great game to watch against a very good Cascade team.

  5. Congratulations to the ladies of Moore County. 2nd in regular season and in the tournament for 9A. Lets keep it going! Also congrats to our All-District members: Kelsey, Sierra, & Kasey.
