I  did not say Humboldt was not good.  I said they were not as good as people say they are. Don't you understand English ? 

Union City will win this one and show that Humboldt is not as good as they have been made out to be.

Humboldt is unproven .   They have yet to beat a good team this year.  Look at the combine records of who they have played. So we will find you now if they are all that good.

Dresden has a good atmosphere if you come to the right game

Dresden ?? are you kidding me .... you may have a good football team but the atmosphere at you place sucks. First the visiting fans have to either walk through the home stands or down a goat trail ( waiting for someone to fall and break a leg ) to get to the visiting stands. Second the concession stands are too close to the back roll of the home stands causing a traffic jam. Third you don't have a band. I am not a big fan of bands but it does lend to the atmosphere of a high school game. And last but not least is the smell from the pig pen behind the visiting stands. in other words you place really does stink

If they have to live in the school zone now then why is a Milan player living on County Farm Road inside the Trenton School zone ?

Well I can't say that you are right or wrong... cause I don't know. I can say that when I played ball at Milan, we had two players on the team from Atwood. Only 1 received significant playing time.... the other helped keep the bench warm and the water cold. But this is when Milan operated on an out-of-zone tuition system. At that time those two young men wanted to come to Milan to player for a winner and that year we were state champions. The coaches, at that time, did not "raid" Atwood.

 

Nevertheless, that was almost 15yrs ago. I cannot speak to what they are doing today. If I had to guess though.... I would say that any students that come from West Carroll want to wear the purple and white and that is their main reasoning for coming. Besides they now have to live in the school zone, out-of-zone tuition no longer exists. And if you guys keep having winning seasons like you have had the last two year.... students will want to play for the winner and tradition that is being developed in Atwood instead of going to Milan.

This is a game that I personally anticipated since the scrimmage last spring and the jamboree at Henry County. This is no doubt a great matchup with a team in Trenton with great athletes and a team in Dresden that has a lot of heart and hard work that has brought them a long way (not saying Trenton doesn't have a lot of heart as well). I say defense has been the strength of Dresden thus far and I am hoping the old adage, "Defense wins championships", or in this case a third round playoff game, proves true. Trenton is a great team, but I'm going with my Dresden Lions in a close one.

If Dresden holds Peabody to 6 pts they deserve the win but i don't see any way you hold us to ony 1 TD. nobody else has all year.

Milan fans will hate me when i say this but...

 

I want to see Milan play a Lexington, Henry CO. or like a North Side. Yes, i know Gibson County is a district game. But since they are dropping down, play someone that has competition. (No offense Pioneers) play a good team that gives you 4 quarters, play a team that you guys are predicted to be underdogs. I know traveling 60+ minutes, sucks, but play a Independence, a Ridgeway, or go out of state. Stop plating weak non-district teams, like a Peabody, or Humboldt, where its the money that matters.

south gibson has not played Peabody so why are you naming us. Plus that weak Peabody team is still in the playoffs and gave Milan all they wanted in the first game of the year. I do agree that south gibson still has to learn that the playoffs are a whole different thing than the regular season. Plus they might need to realize that the success they have had still does not make them an powerhouse team in the whole state. that said ROLL TIDE BEAT Westwood

Peabody vs Westwood will be played at Crump Stadium. The school is charting a bus for fans. go to the school website for details.

Union City should win this one and there will be plenty of seats because humboldt does not have much of a following anyone. More Peabody fans at the humboldt-Trenton game than humboldt fans

Where were the humboldt fans ??? I have never seen so few humboldt fans at a home game.
