Coaches, Pisgah High School has an opening for a team in a Quad we are hosting on Dec. 28th. This is a morning quad on a Friday. You'll get 3 matches and I'll feed you and your coaching staff lunch. We weigh-in at 10 and wrestle at 11. We are usually done with this quad around 2 pm. Teams that are attending are Pisgah, Enka, and Franklin. Pisgah is located in Haywood County, NC just off I-40. Coaches, Pisgah High School in Canton, NC is hosting its 2nd Annual Johnson-Stamey Mill Town Invitational on Jan. 12th, 2019. We are hoping to expand our field of teams and would like to invite any school that is interested to our tournament. This is a 1-day tournament as of now but based on the number of schools interested we can expand and make this a 2-day event. Cost is $185 but a 2-day tournament could make us go up in price. We wrestle back for 6th place and give custom rings to the champion of each weight class. Weigh-ins would be at 8 am and wrestling would begin at 10. Tournament Info 2018 Johnson-Stamey Mill Town Invitational GENERAL INFORMATION Date: Saturday, January 13th, 2018 - Postponed to 1/20/18 Place: Pisgah High School, Canotn, NC Teams Invited: Elkin, Patton, Pisgah, NW Whitfield (GA), Seeding: We will seed as follows: 1) State placers (during ANY season, with most recent having preference) 2) State qualifiers (during ANY season, with most recent having preference) 3) The 2017-2018 record with a 15 match minimum Entry Fee: $175.00 (Varsity only) Make checks payable to Pisgah High School Wrestling Awards: Medals will be awarded to 2nd – 4th places in each weight class; Championship rings will be awarded to the Individual Champion; a trophy to the team champion and runner-up; a plaque to the most outstanding wrestler. We will wrestle back for 5th & 6th Tickets: Admission by ticket only. Wrestlers and managers will be stamped at weigh-ins, and coaches will be supplied with wristbands for admission to the hospitality area. Admission Price: $10 for all day. $20 Family pass. Locks and Towels: Wrestlers will be provided a place to change. Wrestlers are responsible for their own Items and cannot hold Pisgah High School responsible for lost or stolen items. Pisgah High School and the Haywood Elite Wrestling Club is hosting the Headlock on Hunger Wrestling Tournament this Saturday Mar. 5th. This is a USA Wrestling event and the only style being wrestled is folkstyle. You must pre-register on Track Wrestling, there will be no Saturday registration, and you can also get to this registration by going to the NC USA website. Weigh-ins will be on Friday evening at Buffalo Wild Wings of Asheville. There will also be a limited edition Dan Gable autographed singlet raffled off! Your receipt will get you into the SOCON Wrestling Tournament being held at UNC-Asheville for free and we are only 20-30 min from their campus. Please bring a canned food item if you are attending or participating because this is going towards a great cause. Coaches, Pisgah High School is looking to host a dual or tri on Wed. Dec. 4th. We have had a scheduling conflict and our match scheduled for that week was dropped. We are a team from NC but our county (Haywood) borders TN and you can take I-40 all the way to the Canton exit or you can come down 26 and get on 40 to get here. I am looking to host cause we need another home match. Also, we are looking to still fill our dual tournament on Saturday Dec. 28th. I would love to get another team in but can take up to 3 teams still. You would get 5 matches and wrestle some out of state competition. We have teams from GA, NC, and WV coming. Coaches, I had initially posted that Pisgah High School, in Canton North Carolina would be hosting a 2 day tournament. However, we have changed that date and have decided to make our 2nd Annual Jon Johnson Duals Tournament a 1 day event on Dec. 28th. We are making this a multi-state event and each team competing will get 5 matches, with the top 3 teams getting awards. Our county borders TN and we are right off an I-40 exit. Entry fee is $175 and we have a first class hospitality room. We finished our last match by 4:30 last year, so we aim to wrestle through and get you out at a decent time with some quality matches for every team. We have many different teams with many different levels of skill so every team should get to wrestle teams of their calibur. If you are looking to come and travel over the Holidays we would love to host your team. We are expanding our 1 day tournament into a 2-day tournament and I am looking to make it a 16 team field. Each team will get 8-10 matches and we will run the tournament with as little down time as possible.
