If (and this is not a very large if seeing how Riverside fared this year) LC is able to pull this one out tomorrow, they better enjoy the last win for the 2019 season.
By now, we all know and are aware of what rd 2 always brings for LC!
They didn’t even make regular season paper champions this year so I may give RS a better than normal chance.
Lewis poster pointed out in another topic they have 30 wins in the playoffs. 28 straight playoff appearances and only 30 wins!

LC has won nearly 30 playoff games not too bad, huh.
28 years straight and only 30 wins?

They have been good agaisnt both this year. East Robertson, Portland (4A) and Eagleville throw a lot. Lewis has a great rushing attack, and Moore Co did some of both. Moore was our 2nd most competitive game this year and it ended 35-14.
We have traditionally been a ground and pound offense. WE have our best passing game in a decade this season. Multiple targets a line who can pass block and a QB with good feet and a fast and accurate arm.
So your pretty much unbeatable?

What is Forrest strengths? Defense stop the run or cover the passing game? Offense running or passing?

To former Hickman County head coaches go head to head. Also Patterson was Swenson's DC at Hickman.

who's fault is that
Coaching! I’ve always had my doubts about our head coach. Had one good year under him with players that were coached up by the previous coach.

I mean lets be honest. Look at the schedules. I cover Marshall County. Hickman County got the snot beaten out of them by one of the worst Lawrence County teams I have seen in years. Forrest beat two 4A teams easily. If both teams play to their potential Forrest wins easy, In both first and second rounds. I get sticking up for your team but anyone who isn't from Hickman County that is on here thinking the Rockets will have trouble in the first round is just trolling. You don't go undefeated with that schedule and not be a legitimate threat to go all the way.
If getting the snot beat out of you is losing by 7 points then a lot of good teams get the snot beat out of them. Hickman shot themselves in the foot in that game on penalties.

I'm just a realist... if your team is better than mine, I'll tell you that it is and why I think so, and included that before Scotts Hill took the field in game one that a fourth place finish in the region would be a good year for what we had.I even stated at the end of the post that I didn't intend to cause hard feelings, but what I said was what I felt was the truth. Not being argumentative, but what part of my assessment do you think was off?
So since you’re realist, was Hickman a team better than Scott’s Hill this season?

Just included Scotts Hill for a comparison. The point is that I knew that we weren't good enough even when healthy to play with the top teams (Forrest). The injury report was not for sympathy at all, just to show that even when not at full strength, we and your Bulldogs are basically on the same level. Sorry that your feelings were hurt, or if you mistook what I was saying as Scotts Hill is better than Hickman Co... we're not, but neither of us could give Forrest much of a game unless they severely go in the tank.
Oh my feelings aren’t hurt. Just don’t see the reason for the post and the excuses on your poor season have anything to due with this game.

I have a soft spot for Scotts Hill people I suppose...that was a little rough
Just don’t understand the post. Has nothing to do with any post on this topic. It’s just out of the blue explaining why Scott Hill didn’t make the playoffs. And also acting like they dominated the game against Hickman. Which wasn’t so at all.

Your coaches should treat this game as any other playoff game... lose and go home.
Having said that, now I'm going to be brutally honest. At the beginning of the season, I said that a forth place finish for Scotts Hill would be a success. We had the Bulldogs beat at their place and just ran out of gas. We scored in OT and went for two to win because coach knew that we were flat out exhausted, and the ball was snapped over our QB's head (center was out injured) to seal the defeat. We had a chance to be decent this season, but have been as hurt (as a team) as you could get after starting the season with zero depth other than Freshmen anyway. Our QB, two linemen, WR/safety, and RB played hurt… two more linemen, first 3 games QB, kicker, and another WR/DB didn't play at all. If we brought that to the game and were up in the 3'rd quarter by 2+ scores, and Forrest can't cruise to the second round, the Rockets are toast.
Sorry if I offended anybody, but that is just the truth.
Maybe you should start a new thread and name it "Why my team didn't make the playoffs". Seems more fitting for your statement and could get some sympathy from other teams that didn't make the playoffs.

When it comes to Hickman, it depends if our coaching staff will put a complete 4 qtr game plan together. We've lost 3 games this year by 7 points or less, and we were leading or tied at half time. The Lewis and Waverly game we were competitive up until half time (actually leading against Lewis) but made terrible adjustments or no adjustments at halftime. Our two main backs are pretty good and are very hard to take down. If they make it past the line of scrimmage your secondary better be ready to take a hit because #24 and #32 aren't afraid to give it. Don't know much on Forrest tho.

I don’t think so. Both schools are out all week.
Does Waverly have power yet?

Waverly schools are closed the rest of the week. Will this interfere with the game?
Where is the game being played at? The whole power situation could play a role in where games are played.

Your last scenario stated if Riverside wins and Houston loses. In that case your order is incorrect. I never said Hickman is going to win.

And if Riverside wins and Houston Co wins, then Houston is 1st Riverside is 2nd and Waverly is 3rd?
I believe Waverly seals the deal and Houston too.
Waverly 1
Houston 2
Riverside 3
Hickman 4
If Riverside wins and Houston wins
Houston 1
Riverside 2
Waverly 3
Hickman 4
If Riverside wins and Houston loses I believe Houston still wins region for over all record?

If Riverside wins and Hickman wins. Hickman moves to 3rd because Hickman and Houston would both have two loses and Hickman having the tie break (head to head win).

Our jr pro stadium is better than it. If your a visitor better bring a chair with you and better have 4 wheel drive. It’s basically built on a swamp.

Did they rename the stadium after McConnell?
I wouldn’t want my name on that stadium if I was him.

Ya'll need to get some money over here bunch of broke backside folks . The Radio guys from Martin made to broadcast from outside in this mess.. Ya'll some Poor souls.. make a go fund me I'll put 5 grand in to start for upgrades to this horrible facility if you start with the visitors bleachers and a visitors press box.
Hats off to Coach Flowers in them shorts ...You can tell he played football in Camden. We grow men.
Phone is getting wet laugh at ya laterWaverly’s football facilities are the worst I’ve seen. I would even dare to say Perry County is better.

If McConnell was so great why did he never have any defense and boy was his offense complicated lol
1. For his offense to be so complicated it sure didn't take long for the players to learn it.
2. You clearly don't know what a good defense looks like or you haven't watched much Waverly football.

JD Gavin and Montez had nothing to do with the First season he was at waverly. Waverly has always had the talent always. It’s getting the kids that play basketball and baseball to play football. Look at what Smith did for us at QB. Guys the talent has always been there. Matt is a good coach but he his chasing his dream. Can’t blame the guy but a real coach that cared about the waverly program wouldn’t have left. Glad to see Matt doing good at Westview and glad to see Randal doing good in Waverly.
Exactly!!! Can't blame a guy for bettering himself. The two last coaches to leave Hickman on their own terms went to Huntingdon (where his wife is from) and the previous coach left to be a OC at the college level. I don't blame either one of them for leaving.

Well when he takes a 1-9 team to a 9-3 team in one year and has 9 wins atleast a year while he was there that says something about the guy. Don't get me wrong I didn't like him being there with me being a competitor but I like to see respect given where it is due. Waverly needs to remember where they were before he came there.

You're statements just shows how ungrateful some of the fans in Waverly are. Probably another reason why he left.

Definitely 30 wins but with a lot of undefeated or 1 loss Lewis teams have an early exit out of the playoffs. Why is that?
