South Gibson comes off a bye for their second of what seems to be their 3 most important games of the season.
Southside comes off a loss to a good Dyersburg team. This was voted game of the state last year.
Southside played well against Dyersburg for a half and really pushed Bolivar.
I'll take SGC in this though because I don't think they've regressed from their form last year.
The only common opponents are McNairy Cen and Obion Co. (SS 0-2 g SGC 2-0)
The next two games for SGC are the keys to South Gibson breaking their 2 year playoff drought and they are both against winless teams. I think SGC gets in at the four, but you can't underestimate SS or WV. Thankfully. South Gibson's coaching staff won't allow the team to make that mistake

That's a big jump for Liberty from 3A-5A

Sounds like Vanderbilt should play their home games there while the stadium is remodeled.Christian Brothers in Memphis just built an athletic developmental building that is amazing. The building houses a huge weight room that can handle over 70 athletes working out at the same time. A cardio room, reception room looking out over the football field, a wrestling arena and locker room, state of the art training room with 2 cryogenic hot and cold tubs that can each hold 5 players at a time, a state of the art equipment storage room, numerous meeting rooms and coaches offices, and a football locker room that has all the bells and whistles such as a media wall, multiple flat screen TV's, NFL style football lockers, along with a logo on the carpet and ceiling in the middle of the room. I know I have omitted many other features, but there was a surprise around every corner. You gotta see it to believe it!
Ignore that. My brain stopped working and I thought you were talking about MBA

I agree our non-region schedule isn't the toughest, but following the rigorous schedule two years ago many players were used to hard fought games and the program needed some confidence put in it.Not buying what you said. All you guys have to do is beat McNairy Central, Southside, and Westview and you guys are in. Pretty easy to do since two of those programs are very bad, and the other is rebuilding like crazy.
All that guy is referring to is that it is time for South Gibson to "toughen up" their non-region schedule.
Yes something bigger could have been with the Nolendville game, but don't let the first 6 games take away from a team resilient enough to compete with Milan and Dyersburg 2 years in a row.
Right now the goal of the program is to make a playoff game, do that for a year or two in a row then set a new goal to work towards

South Gibson will be same as last year....cream puff schedule the first 5 games....then "murderer's row"....Liberty...Milan...Dburg...they might get luckey to get the #4 playoff spot...
If I remember correctly South Gibson played Dyersburg til the final second and Milan into the 4th quarter. Only got "murdered" by a Liberty team when they were missing their starting QB. I don't consider earning a playoff spot as lucky, especially not in our region.

South Gibson travels to Selmer for the second meeting in the two programs history. McNairy Cen. is riding a 2 game win streak as they host the undefeated Hornets. SGC is playing their region opener while McNairy is 1-0 in Region 7.

Good job tonight Hornets.

13-0 South Gibson in the 1st

Trinity comes to Medina for the third time in program history to match up against a 3-0 South Gibson program. I don't know what going on with TCA's record besides a strong list of opposition on their schedule. Traditionally though, they have a strong, well coached team, and SGC is the same in that aspect.
I expect to see a hard, tough game played in good spirits.

Obion played well away to South Gibson, but had trouble containing our speed. Haywood will be faster than SGC with more rounded athletes. Based on that I'll take Haywood comfortably, but underdogs are underdogs because of that. Best of luck OCC!

South Gibson had to fight to reach a 2nd consecutive 2-0 start (and 5th in 6 seasons), but they battled hard and aren't seeming to struggle with replacing QB and the open running back spot slot.
They head south of Nashville to take on Nolensville in, to my understanding, what is Nolensville's first varsity game. The coaching staff knows the dangers of overlooking a new varsity program so SGC will go on the long road trip with a head full of steam. CJ Sharp and Dre McAllister will look to be the focal points of SGC's ground game against the Knights. This is the game replacing JCM on schedule

Solid game, best of luck to Obion heading forward
