I never saw this post and I wish i didn't. Maybe his is why people don't like us

South gibson will be young. We lost a lot of seniors last year. Our keeper is new to the shcool (out of Hickman High School in MO) and is a junior. The offense has only 1 senior and no juniors so maybe in a couple years they will be the bomb (I hope). The coach, Kendall Bell, won the district coach of the year last year and he has improved much much better as a coach over the year.
-
South Gibson had 3 seniors sign on to college teams this week.
Carlos and Quincy Walden are headed to Bethel University while Rodney Napper is going to Campelsville University. (Also Adam Miller will be UT Martin's manager)

No... South Gibson is losing too much and they have upgraded the difficulty of there schedule tremendously. Out of district for them is a nightmare. I truly believe that Crockett will be the team to be this season. 2yrs ago 3-7 while starting mostly sophmores. Last year 6-5 while starting mostly juniors. This is the year that Kevin Ward has been building towards and they will be loaded with seniors, plus they will probably have the best player in the district in Johnny Jones (running back).
I honestly feel like the top 3 in the District will be a toss up between Milan, Crockett and Dyersburg. South Gibson and Westview will battle it out for 4th and Obion will bring up the rear in 6th (last). Good thing is that we won't have to see Crockett or Dyersburg in the playoffs. They are 4A.
Well lets be for real, Milan and SGC pretty much going through the same thing this offseason. Losing players that will go on to olay at college and having new players take over. You're probably being a little biased to your team (and myself just as much ti SGC). Anyway both teams need to rebiuld and SGC has some talent to take over. A lot of people have question the abiltiy to score but with Moore, Cobb, Lewis, Reed, Duncan, Sherer I don;t see that as the problem. What I am worried about is the line the only players who come to mind are Murdaugh and Black (Fly if he is healthy) hopefully some people can come into fill it out. Milan has rebuilt in the past so come Late August we can see if SGC has rebuilt.

I'm not sure. I believe it changes out every year.

]Depends on the district. The western region has fewer teams so regions are different. I don't think any other region has a bye.
My coach explained it. My district (13) gets 2 byes while the other one in our region gets only 1 due to the amount of teams in each district
-
Well I hope maybe CPA can tire them out for the following week when they host South Gibson. I want at least a win next year
-
now i have yet anotpher question Im trying to figure out the entire regional tournament bracket. So I thought that 4 teams get a round 1 bye, but only 3 do. Im completely lost
-
Thank you guys for answering my question. My school is a new school (est. 2009) and we went to the region semi last year (losing to Dyersburg) and our coach said he wanted to host it this year, and I was wondering how a team would get to host the round(s)

@GoHornets1 at least the new schedule opens a good chance for SGC soccer w/ the loss of Covington

Well imj disappointesd not to see SGC on their, granted we did lose in the opening round, we had our 10-0 season and we where sitting pretty until we got knocked of our pedistol. We beat Milan @ Milan not many people can say that they beat Milan especially not on Milans turf. I think if not top 10 we should be a strong name in the list maybe 11th. 11th place seems to sit well with SGC this year
-
I work with several of the kids that attend Milan High School and they have no idea why is transferring. I don't the whole school in Milan knows.
Well i think its cause he just became really good friends with some guys from SGC and hes Milan friends didn't like it an event happened at the school this past week moving his transfer from after X-mas to Monday. The rivalry has gotten way out of hand sadly
-
personal reasons both the whole schools for sgc and milan know though
-
South Gibson will have alot of talented juniors next year that can play with possibly more coming in. Jace Zipp is moving from Milan to Medina and he will play football
-
With a bunch of WR prospects for SGC one of them might just take over RB, it could be Airan Reed, Jordon Cobb, Stephen Sherer (the guy from MO) WR's can make it w/o Airan some good talent coming off the fresman team, looking forward to opening day

I havent seen many (all being for SGC) but I have two favorites (We've only have had 12 varsity games)
West Carroll @ South Gibson County 2011- SGC's first ever varsity football win, and won via 2-Point conversion! A 20 to 19 win.
or
South Gibson County @ Milan 2012- Also a 20 to 19 win for South Gibson our first time beating our rival ever and on their own turf. Defiantly the biggest win in school history, and a great game from both oppositions.

I have a congenital heart defect, and play soccer for my high school
