Am I the only one who thinks it is ironic that a Pittsburg fan talking about cheating. It is a shame when a student athlete has to ask the school councilor what address to put on papers my real address or the one y'all gave me. Don't come on here and tell me it has not happened. As posted OP figured the GV/SP feud would be close & dreamed the Pirates finished like The Longest Yard movie. The Pirates had their chance but came up jest short. Now as for your Warriors, recon they gots a huge mountain to climb too this week but if the Warriors can learn to play defense they jest might surprise them Comode Doors! Leastways, OP hopes the younguns make a few good life long memories. BTW......2 months of pre-unauthorized spring practice is more.......than the authorized standard practices! What happened four years ago means nothing to these boys. This team is playing with a lot of confidence right now. They respect FCS , as they should because they have earned that respect, but they are not intimidated by any means. I am sure FCS doesn't respect Marion because they have not earned it and will have to Friday night. I

I think we all knew that the offense would probably score some but I don't think any of us expected the defense to come out and play the way they did last night now we have another challenge probably the best of everything we have seen this year best qb best line best def we know fcs will score and that don't bother us the question is. Can you score more than Marion going to be a long week. Pumped

So does anyone know anything about this silverdale bunch. Are they any good? Ambassador, they're from down your way, do you know anything about them?

 

I understand "calling it like you see it" but you seem to hang your hat on endlessly belittling teams that don't make you get all rosie cheeked at the mention of their name. I guess whatever gets you through the night.

They are a team that will throws it a round a little. They do have a big back who runs hard. Outside of Boyd, their competition is weak. Well disciplined. Good luck to both teams

We hosted York in 08 and won. That was the first time we had won a home playoff game since 95.

That is correct then we went to Boyd then to Alcoa We have traveled to Forrest and fcs since then

I sat with the Gordonsville coaches when SP played Grace last game of the year. They were just laughing at the Pirates and what Grace was doing to them. FCS coach was also there scouting Knox Grace. He told me that Gordonsville would be the armsPittsburg by as many as they wanted. I personally think it will be a good game. Vic will have his boys ready.

I personally have not seen Silverdale play a regular season game. I did however see them play Marion in a scrimmage a week berfore season started. Marion had their way with Silverdale. Now I am sure that Silverdale has improved since that time just like Marion and several other teams have. I also got to see the game at The armPittsburg with Grace. Grace is the best line that i have seen this year and 24 was special. # 20 is also very good and QB does his job and throws the ball well. In saying all that, I just dont see Silverdale advancing any further this year. They will be hitting the hardwood next week. Good luck to both teams.. Safe travels to Silverdale.

Coach McCurry has done a great job with this team this year. Look forward to the game Friday night. Should be a great atmosphere. When was the last time Maron hosted a playoff Game?

Recon you fellers has got used to other names from the looks of this thread. Folkes calling you fellers Jasper & Jasper fans calling you Mary Ann.........anyhow Old Pirate looked up some stats of that Zeman youngun from his trip to the speedway. He had something close to 135 yds total on 15 attempts with a 68 yard run on a very suspect Pirate D. The Warriors ain't a one horse team thou. Old Pirate knows all too well bout the Yellow Jackets but this TC ain't up to their standards, so OP says the Warriors send the Jackets to the hardwood next week.
