That happenned to us this year. A key player was dismissed. Kind of changed the game a bit. At this level, if you lose a key player or 2, it can really change your season. Generally the dismissals are for good reasons though, and healthier for the team in the long run.

Folks just need to settle down. All good programs have down years. Problem is when you have the down years, support for these teams starts to dwindle. Got to remember that these are still very young kids. Not teaching them a good lesson by becoming disgruntled and less supportive. Not saying that's whats happening here, just saying that does not need to happen. Never give up.

Should be interesting. I hate to see old rivalries go, but it will be cool to play some different teams.

Not even a body painting cheerleader for the football team. What we have here is a body painting, female undergarment wearing, gender confused Navajo Indian chess team water boy.

Everybody needs something to whine about. We played Alcoa, got murdered but you know, if you wanna be the best you gotta beat the best, and you cant beat the best if your too chicken to play the best.

Shouldn't be an option to move up. Play where your numbers put you.

Thats another thing that chaps my rear end!! Why aint kids wanting to get out and play football? When i was in high school every lad that had even a shred of guts wanted to get out there and play. Now they just want to wear body paint and play cheerleader.

This team is not nearly as dedicated as years past. I know they are well coached. Coaching is not the problem. They are not playing anywhere near their potential.

8-aa has become a pretty tight district for the last few years with some really good games. I sure hate to see that go.

What teams do you think smith co will end up being in district with?

SC will win this game as they should. SC has a pretty good team. Several freshman/sophmore starters in this group. Making too many silly mistakes. I believe they will win out the rest of the season. Future looks pretty good.

I think im gonna have to agree with you here. Surely there is enough talent there to atleast be somewhat competitive in these games.

Most definately. A school the size of WC gets taken to the wire by a much smaller school which is loaded with freshmen/sophomores, which made loads of costly mistakes, and they still barely made it out of there with a w.

I watched your guys play gordonsville on tv. Did you have key injuries then? I really didnt expect that game to stay that close for so long. I figured it would be over by the half.

Lol. I am far too hateful and cranky to be a coach. We had the better football team. Just made way to many mistakes. Mainly with defensive penalties. I see you got a nice win against greenbrier.

Yep. That was pretty much the ultimate cause of the loss. Maybe they'll get back at it monday and get it ironed out. Still got an opportunity place 2nd in district and maybe get a decent round 1 playoff game.

Thank god. I was hoping that was the case. Too many penalties on defense tonight. Had that game and said here, you take it, we dont need it. IMO we need to work on discipline. Not a bad defensive game other than penalties. Offense...gotta score to win.

Who made that call to take off running on 4th down instead of punting? Please tell me that was a player error.

I think so, they put new drainage system in not too awful long ago.
