It was the 1st teams going again. The first part of scrimmage Greenville moved them off the ball pretty good. The last part they made some plays and got some pressure and helped force turnovers. Both teams have some things to work on that's for sure. I can see Tn High giving DB and SH a fit possibly.

It was a tale of 2 scrimmages really. The first part saw Greeneville dominate with the first teams 6-2. The second part was the exact opposite as Tn High dominated 4-0. Greeneville never heard the gun go off the 2nd Time around and played sloppy as Tn High got stronger. #24 for Tn High dominated the scrimmage as he is a excellent player. This is the second week in a row Greeneville has started out on fire only to play awful the last part of the scrimmage. Coach Ballard is on them big time about finishing things out and right now there not doing that. That's the good thing about it being a scrimmage you can still learn from it. Hats off to Tn High they didn't quit and it showed.

got to give the coach from Boone some props he is playing Greeneville as well. He may have the toughest schedule around.

Greeneville has a RB who has ran for over 1500yds the last 2 years as well and he is a load at 215 lbs. The young man from Elizabethton is a exceptional back as we'll. Fulton is just flat loaded and whoever gets to them has their hands full. Also Knox Catholic has some new kids whose address are coaches at UT that are players one being a QB. South is looking very much improved as well. This definitely looks like a good year for 4A in East TN. What are the non conference schedules for South and Elizabethton this year?

No doubt Fulton is loaded but I think that their is a team a little closer to East Tn that nobody on this forum has mentioned and that would be Greeneville. Chances are to get to Fulton you have to go thru the Devils and no doubt that definitely won't be an easy task. They were down a little last year but must have reloaded as Murphy Fair has the ranked #2 behind Fulton.

Greeneville's non conference is 6A Jeff County (2012 Playoff team) 5A Morristown West (2012 Playoff team) 5A Daniel Boone (2012 Playoff team) 4A Signal Mnt ( 2013 Preseason #2 ranking) 4A Harlan Ky (2012 Ky semi finalist)

The reason I say that is regardless of record conference champs are seeded first and they go from there. Who does South play non conference. Greeneville's non conference is brutal but their conference is awful.

The it looks like we have some good match ups in the next couple of years against each other. This year whoever wins your conference will be the #2 or #3 seed and we will be the other one. Fulton will be the #1 seed and the 2nd place finisher in your conference will be #4. That is 4 fine football teams with great traditions and support so it should be exciting.

You may be correct. I thought South had a freshman team and I know Greeneville doesn't was my thinking. South has a great tradition and a very good program and over the years there have been some great games between the two. We were told that South handled DB easily in the spring scrimmage which tells you they have some talent. As for Greeneville not being as cocky every program around who wins consistently is accused of that. Agree or disagree like or dislike those 2 teams did what nobody had done in East Tn in 40 years and that was put a gold ball in the trophy case and rings on fingers. With that being said that's in the past and they have a lot of quality teams to go thru if they want to achieve that again. I think Greeneville will be a better team than last year and there are very few who stay at the top forever. Betsy and South will make this quad a lot better for sure. No doubt Fulton is the team to beat and getting to the finals goes thru them. With that being said definitely don't under estimate the green devils they return 6 starters on offense and 6 on defense with alot of players who saw quality playing time.They dominated both South and Betsy in jv last year using freshman and sophomores while those teams used soph/jr as they both have freshman teams. Greeneville returns all of their key skill people and Coach Ballard has said this is the overall fastest team he has had at Greeneville. The offensive and defensive lines will have to rise to the occasion for them to make a deep run. South has some very quality players and the young QB is fantastic. Betsy has a great RB who no doubt is DI material. Fulton speaks for themselves with all of the DI talent they have. Signal Mountain is strong once again and if Giles who is always loaded ends up in the East they should just give the Gold Ball to whoever wins the East. Good luck to all the teams as I know the young men who represent your schools are working hard and deserve our support as family,friends and fans. GREENEVILLE 10-0

West Greene outplayed Greeneville and deserved to win the game. I'm a GHS parent and I congratulate them they were the better team tonight. Their pitcher did a great job and we didn't hit very well along with a few errors on defense done us in. Hopefully we can win our next 3 conference games and win the district.

I think Giles will be in great shape this year because with all of the realignment in the East in 4A this will move them to the west. Elizabethton, Sullivan South and Knox Catholic all will make the playoffs. Once again the East is loaded.

We have 10 games this year our non conference schedule is tough once again. Jeff Co (6A) Mo West (5A) Boone (5A) Harlan Ky (4A State semi finalist 2012) Signal Mnt (4A) plus 5 conference games. We are off week 0 and play 10 straight.
