  1. Sonny goes to smyrna. I was told he consistantly hit 87, but i don't know this guy also told me he threw 55 and he ended up throwin like 82. I look forward to seeing this kid.
  2. I understand the playing your 8th graders to rest your starters. But If your gonna play a team that finished 3rd in the county tourny in Middle school, Dont whine about gettin beat and givin up 100 to an unbeleivably talented team like Os. Pretty bad when ya gotta dis me for stating something that is true. I agree with goose. The OS Jv team could give Sunbright's starters a good game. I do apologize to Sunbright though cause they have had a tough year and it's sad to see a team give up a 100 that is as talented as sunbright. Next year will be completely different. Best of luck in the tourny rufus, and sunbright.
  3. HAHA Sounds like an OS fan. I know OS has some hard feelings toward Mr. Newberry since that fight in football. I know though that no matter what it takes I'm gonna see them play one way or another if I Have to get my good buddy Mr. Whalen to tape it for me. Os Will be tough and Sunbright won't beat them but Possibly could get ugly. Best of Luck Os. I know quite a few of the players played against them as a 12 year old in a 13-14 league. I might have to break out the pink socks. HAHA Whalen.
  4. Thanks.. for the info.
  5. 91 as a freshman ????????? This kid might as well go pro cause I don't know very many seniors in the state of Tennessee that throws 91. Now, this kid might hit 81 but 91 as a freshman???? That's just plain out crazy. If the kid was hittin 91 as a freshman he will be well in the 100's as a senior. Although this sounds like I think there is no way, There is a pitcher in the majors not sure on his name but he throw around 102, 103 every pitch. I was readin on a site that he was gettin 88 as a freshman, but 91 is very farfetched.

    Schedules?

Are the ones on this site right? I was just curious because I was lookin at my team's baseball schedule and our biggest Rival wasn't on our schedule and they are in our district? Just curious. Thanks for any info.
  7. That's awesome. I wish my parents could be like that. . I know a couple group of parents that are like this one you talked about. Their kid is usually the heart of the team, the one that hustles, the one that will do anything. just goes to show that the parent reflects in the player.
  8. 11-8 Last meeting. SS that ain't killin someone and i'm sure Micheal paul didn't have any ribbys or score any at all. And I know for a fact there was no way he made any plays in the field. HAHA
  9. Brad was probley the best player to ever come through Morgan County. And probley one of the best to ever come through.
  10. Higgens is a great player and a great kid. Reminds me of Nate Robinson in the dunk contest tonight; He never gives up and will work extremely hard and one of these days all that hard work is gonna pay off. OS scoring 100+ doesn't mean they ran the score up. No offense at all to Sunbright but it makes absolutly no sense to put in an 8th grade team to play a high school team. AND WHAT makes it worse is that the 8th grade team couldn't even get close to OS's 8th grade team. I've seen the 8th grade team play and that is quiet stupid of the coach to put them in against a much bigger faster stronger older, More expereinced team in OS.
  11. I find it hard to beleive a freshman is throwing 85+. If they are that's great but it's bad to hype a kid up that doesn't throw exactly what everyone says. The hardest I've seen a 15 year old throw was 80. He was from Anderson County High School.
  12. I'm sure he will do fine, Good guy. He is passionate about sports and he cares so that's good.
  13. We will see. Sunbright will be the best team in the county. And when they beat Coalfield the excuses will flow. Sunbright has pitching. Both Hawns can throw and they return ALL STARTERS, but one from last years team. They are returning great players in The Hawn's, Clint Newport, and Young. All can pitch and hit, and I think with the absence of Micheal Paul from Coalfield will fall to The tigers. I may be wrong but I think Sunbright will be the best in the county and OS in the district.
  14. County Champs- Sunbright MVP- Ryan Hawn District champs- OS Mvp- Kelly Coalfield returns alot of talent from last year's team but lost their only real Fireballer in Micheal Paul. They have alot of talent but I don't honestly think that they can handle the talent of Sunbright. Who will be Coalfield's ace? I would say Sunbright's will be Ryan. Two great teams the top 2 in the county.
  15. I agree. Tell him Phil From Petros said hey. He will know who your talkin about if you mention the Southeast Regional, and that home run I hit off him. haha
  16. Wartburg has a great deal of respect for Rockwood. When they play it's always A great game. Rockwood is a great team there is no doubt about that, but they are beatable. Not sayin Wartburg will beat them, because if they do they will need a couple breaks throughout the game. Rockwood and Wartburg are both good teams that know each other pretty well. I also think Cosby will win the tounry. As for the water, lol I strongly doubt that. Although that is funny. Who told you that?
  17. How many do you all have now? My senior year At Wartburg could become a dunk fest. I know of 3 that can grab the rim and at least 2 that can touch it. I don't really see us scrimmaging though since You all go to such a big school. It would still be fun though

    Wartburg

They are in a tough Region and District. They lost their Top 3 Pitchers from last years team. They are young, but do they have a chance to win a couple? I don't think the year will be to bad, just a lil shaky.
  19. Will Corey get any playin time this year? I know he ain't in the best region to be playin in as a Freshman, But he is good and that will only make him better.
  20. It's at Wartburg. The next level is Oneida, I'm pretty sure. I don't know who will win either. I'd say Wartburg and OS will play in the championship. I'll say the winner is whoever has the hottest player that night. Can't wait. Tounry starts Saturday 3:30. Unless it gets change.

    Freshman

My vote goes to Corey Key from Clinton. I've played with the kid throws probley mid to high 70's. Has a great bat and a good head on his shoulders. The reason he is my favorite is there was a stretch last year where he got on base 29 times in a row. Got hit 4 times. Great kid also.
  22. Haha, Man you probley would. Ya'll got anyone dunkin yet? Just wonderin. We don't but we have 3 of the five gettin solid rim and the other two is close. It would be fun even if one of us blew the other out.
  23. Wartburg's girls almost upset Os. I think that come tounry time that both Wartburg teams could make a run. How far Wartburg goes is based on how the tourny comes out. I think the dawgs will finish second to Cosby is the tourny allows. But I would say Wartburg will be faced against Rockwood in the semi's. I look for Cosby to win it all and maybe win state. Cosby is a good team but So is Rockwood and Wartburg. It all matters who plays better on certain nights. Best of luck all teams hope everyone stays healthy.
  24. I agree 100%. They got alotta potential, but not quite there yet. They could make a good run if they ever get clicking on all cylders against good teams.
