Can Ravenwood and Dickson Co both advance to the state? Unless Maryville has immensely improved since the beginning of the season I can't see them there but you never know.

They are good this year but their #1 pitcher will be a senior next year. Do you have any idea what is coming up through the middle schools?

You never know but they have some tough teams to go through including Unicoi Co, Gibbs, and even Greenbrier. Greenbrier has a kid with 3 grand slams in tournament play. I would advise Upperman to not pitch to her if they face them and want to win.

I had nothing to post about them. I just wanted to know why this thread got closed so quickly. It is always interesting to see other peoples views of their softball programs. I have not seen another thread locked on this forum in the past. I have visited often for a few years and recently joined.

Just my opinion, but I have seen worse on here and the threads didn't get locked.

I am a little suprised at the outcome. You never know what can happen on any given day. Both teams have some quality players but I would have figured Friendship had more of them.

We finally get a thread about Beech and it got locked immediately. Whats up with this?

Is Friendship Christian still in the hunt for a State Championship? Did they beat Trousdale County or is Trousdale moving on?

One thing is for sure, Jones is not throwing 67 mph. She is a very good pitcher that will do well in college softball. Cory may or may not be in the best 5 in the state. She is very good and is a dominant pitcher in her district. She will do well in college. Why do we need to bring up the names of minors on a public forum. Wish them the best and move on.

Trousdale drops way off after number 1. No comparison. I know about your travel team. Small county schools should not be made to play private schools that recruit and offere free tuition. You don't want to take this any farther on a public forum. I know a girl on the softball team that did not pay tuition last year. Leave it at that.

I agree with playing better competiion but do you honestly think Trousdale softball can stack up with Goodpasture? I coached travel ball for years and know players on both teams. The top players can go head to head but there is no comparison when you go to the 2, 3, 4, or 5th best players.

I made those sacrifices for 25 years between sending two daughters to private schools. I am by no means rich but sent them to hitting and pitching lessons for years on top of this. I stand by my post. Trousdale is the smallest county in Tennesse and almost none of these parents can afford private lessons with their very limited resources. Maybe you can't see the difference but I can.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but there is a huge difference between softball players in private schools that have parents from multiple counties that can afford private lessons for their daughters and parents from the smallest county in Tennessee that have very limited resources to provide the same for their daughters. Just saying.............
