REALLY. I understand DB didn't do that well against the GMen, so I was wondering how the Vikings did in comparison.

neither right now. its hard to tell a whole bunch from a scrimmage, especially a DB v GHS scrimmage. The Devil kids look at this as their only shot to really prove themselves against the "big boys" up in N.E.Tenn. and most of DB's offense is wearing orange now. I don't know what all else DB lost, but just losing those two kids is enough to sink any HS football ship for a little while. Same thing happened to us last year after losing the last of some great talent. As for this year, i think DB will struggle early, but roll late. As much as some DB fans and parents llike to complain about their coach, the man is still a legend and clearly knows what he's doing. As for the Devils, we will know much more after game one at MoWest. and will know all we need to know by the time Harlan County rolls into Burley. we've got a pretty brutal non conference schedule, which will offset our annual cake walk thru the BRAC. Best of luck to the Indians, maybe a season under the radar is just what yall need. We just need to focus, crack some heads up front and let our offense do its thing this year and we should be looking good by playoff time. Regardless of how we get to the playoffs, it will come down to us and fulton again for the 4a title. Again, good luck this year, we can all make NETENN proud if we get some hardware back to these parts.
I agree with all you;re comment.I know some fans in both fan bases can make other fan bases sick of them,But the fact is DB and now Greeneville has proving there 2 of the top if not the top 2 teams in NE TENN.And true football fans have to RESPECT what both have done.Yea,They both play in a weck conf,But both were winning back when they where in better ones.Like DB being in the old BIG EAST.But nethier team can contral whos in the cof now,Its up to the enrollment and what the TSSAA puts you in.For now it is what it is,But i wish DB would be put back into a stronger conf and im sure Greeneville folks would say the same.But until that happens i see NE TENN teams coming up short vs other teams though out the state.Greeneville has adjusted alot better than DB has.But the 1 and done sayin and the talk about DB not winning one on the field is burn out.Greeneville has showed they can win a gold ball but other than them theres no other fan bases that have anything to say when there not winning none ethier..Much RESPECT to GREENEVILLE and there program and what they have done..But you got A**HOLE fans in every fan base.And as far as me being a DB fan i have nothing against G-VILLE,Cause other than a scrimmage we dont play each other.The only time i will say anything about G-VILLE is when one of them A**HOLE fans start running off at the mouth.And then and only then is when ill reply,And when i do i will use nothing but FACTS.Anyway,Good luck to you're DEVILS this yr and hope they end up how you hope they do,And ill be watching from afar and hope that another NE TENN team makes the rest of the state know we can play ball on this side of the state too.And see that us folks over this way arnt abunch of hillbillies and know we like to see other NE TENN teams do well instead of talking crap back and forth.

IM not saying it would be a bust, but i bet the team and coaches feel that way. Its just the mentality here now.. Championship or bust and that's not arrogance, that's just the type of mentality this coaching staff is trying to maintain here. Obviously we cant win it all every year but with the group of kids we have right now, if we can get by fulton, theres no reason to think otherwise. Granted, beating fulton this year will a tall tall order, but it can happen.......Slick......lol..how's YOUR devils gona do this year?

Lam, the spring scrimmage in May where South pretty much handled DB in the same manner that Greeneville did a few weeks ago was probably what led to the "best chance in years" comment.
LOL,Theres more to a game other than passing.And you should know that just because a team does something one time dont mean they could do it again.

South will roll in this one as they will in conference. They should have been using this game as a tune-up for a run at the Big 8 and the best chance they have had in years at J Fred. Instead they will be warming up to travel to Happy Valley. Pure and Simple and in every way.......IDIOTS!
Dont read to much into that scrimmage they had with North,UCounty and DB.I'm sure them lil rebs will have a good season this yr in 4A but letz not start talking out our heads now.Just because DB had bad scrimmages vs MARYVILLE(#1 preseason rank in 6A and Greeneville (Ranked in top 5 in 4A)..As seen in the past,Just because other schools have beaten them in a scrimmage dont mean them lil rebs could beat them.Everybody knows them lil rebs are DB'S REDHEADED STEP CHILD.LOL

after watching DB get smacked around by greeneville yesterday, and DB"s qb consistantly overthrow receivers by 5-10 yards i'd say yalls passing game needs s ome work. Definately wasnt the typical DB team we're used to getting hammered by every year in a scrimmage, so it was fun to watch our 1's have their way with DB. that said, good luck to the tribe this year, it appears yall are gona need it.
So let me ask you,If Greeneville dont win the state title this yr are you sayin that this team was a BUST?..Cause the way you're typing it seems like that would be the case.And if they lost in the playoffs then i guess you can use the same talk that is used about DB and the playoffs right?A great season but nothing to show for it.JUST SAYIN SLICK!

Other than Carmichael and a few others yall wouldnt have beaten Maryville.Its kool to be proud of you're team.And i know theres alot of A**Holes that pull for DB and make other fan bases sick of them.But dont judge other fans and put down a program cause of a few stupid folks.I understand being hyped up about you're team this yr.From what i've seen i dont blame yall.But dont be the A**HOLE fans for Greeneville.And not sayin you have to go out and buy DB gear just like i dont have to buy DEVILS gear.But support the NE Tenn side of the state and show the rest of the state that we've got schools over this way that can contend for a state title.I posted somethings to show how A**HOLES can be,But i have nothing but RESPECT for Greeneville and other area teams and hope yr after yr NE TENN teams can show we can run with the big dogs.Hope yall have a good season,But ill still be following them INDIANS.ROLL TRIBE ROLL.

Didnt you hear,They won 2 state titles a few yrs back.Thats why they are front runners for another one.They have a nice field and everything,And thats what it takes now a days to win state titles.It showed in the scrimmages too.Greeneville is a HOT BED for talent.They have D1 players every yr.It doest matter that there playing in a weak 4A class.

HECK NO they aint wannabes,They went 2-0 in there SCRIMMAGES and beat a 6A team pretty bad.So i know there for real.This is just what i think,But i say them lil devils are the best team in the state with maryville afar 2nd!..If they dont win every game by 50 then thats just because the ref's are tryin to help the other team.ROLL TRIBE ROLL

After watching the lil devils run over everyone in the SCRIMMAGES,I'd say lil devils 29-4.SHill gets a safetly in the 1st and one in the 4th.And its nothing SHill does to get them,Its the mistakes by the lil devils.But dont take that as weakest on the lil devils team.Just by what ive seen there probly going to be the best team at the end of the yr in the whole state even 6A.With this game,I say if them lil devils and SHill play 33 times in a row,I say the lil devils win 29 and SHill 4.I just feel good with that number.ROLL TRIBE ROLL!!!!!!!

I did not make the scrimmage last week. I heard we were in the spread. Now, my question is I thought we would keep our offense the same. For the people we have back, should we just keep our offense the same. I just want opinions from anyone.
My opinion,I was there and like a few others have said we need to get the QB problem figured out.And it was hard to tell in the first scrimmage and when you're playing Maryville that doesnt help much.Will find out alittle more in the greeneville scrimmage.I would like to see them run alittle of both.But im sure clark will figure it out.If i picked what i thought was the best that showed vs maryville i would say the D-Line,Then the O-Line and the RB's.But thats my opinion.
