Lebanon wins in 10 innings over Mt. Juliet 2-1. Cain Sloan pitched for Lebanon and Kyle Smith for MJ. Smith gave up 1 run on a first inning homerun to Jessep Polk and Cain Sloan gives up one run. Dallas Horn came in the 9th with bases loaded and no outs and works out of it. He also pitched in the tenth to earn the win. Lebanon wins on a wild pitch. Fantastic baseball game with great pitching and defense from both sides.

Cookeville beating Oakland may be the best thing to happen to Oakland this year. Oakland realized that they can be beat if they are not fully prepared and ready mentally.

Big difference in being down by 14 and up by 14, especially in the district championship. A bunt hit can spark a come back. And if you steal until you are up by 20, a lot of your batters would be on base via hit by pitch.

If the bunt was with is in the last inning, then that is garbage. Other than that, it is a good idea to try and get something started to make an attempt to win. Stealing while up 14-0 is complete garbage, and if the runner did it on his own, I am sure he got an ear full from the coach afterwards.

Who cares what the parents say or chant. I went to a Vanderbilt and LSU baseball game a few years ago and LSU had a huge amount of fans there with their own chants. Its just the parents having some fun

So are you saying they pay the umps every game to insure that win? If so, you are very blind to see the reality that Oakland has very good players and coaches.

If you are being serious, I believe this may be the dumbest statement ever.

The region format does benefit a team with one real good pitcher, but lets think. What do you have to do to get there? Come first or second in the district tournament. It takes 3 or so games to get to the district final, so it takes more than one dominant pitcher to get into region. I think the system now is great.

Riverdaleman, do you realize that over a year, players do get better. I would take this years Oakland team over last years Riverdale team anyday. Oakland has improved a ton and now is one of the best, if not the best team in the state.

All I have to got to say is that Riverdale has always been classless and apparently always going to be so. I was not at the game last night but I was last year and I even heard from an umpire that played like 6 years ago that Riverdale was like that back then, so I am going to have to disagree with Mr. Limbaugh's statement about Coach Power's class. If he is the epitome of class, then something is wrong with your perspective on class. And squeezing while up 8 or 9 to 2 is ridiculous.
