  1. As long as Jujuan stays healthy then South Pittsburg's hardest obstacle to get to Cookeville will be the bus ride.

South Pittsburg has become a monster of a team over the last month. Although I'd love to see a Nashville Christian v South Pitt final, in all likelihood it will be Union City vs SP. Final score prediction SP 35 - UC 20.

Art's retiring from CoachT. Good luck.

  2. I understand if you attend the NCS @ CA game and you did not like the calls and disagree with the style of play. This is away to express yourself without resulting to name calling and making outrageous statements. Why do folks that pay 6 bucks to get in a ball game think it gives them permission to yell what ever they want from the sideline. Iwas there, real close to the sideline the whole game. I saw a lot of questionable acts by bunches of players and fans. lots of flags thrown. I thought the refs threw a lot of flags to try to control the game. I would say that berating the refs during the game never helps your cause. It was a very physical game. I was hoping they CA could keep it close but we we're overmatch by a bigger team with larger numbers of kids available. We did compete the whole game. NCS knows they were in a game. I think we got out with no major injuries. Hopefully we can far better next week whoever our opponent is.

You get that same officiating crew they will do ALL they can to get you to the next round. I hope Jo Byrns runs the score up on your team.

  3. Nancy you've got to be kidding. Everyone at the game could see the fix was in and your coaches turned a blind eye to the repeated late hits and cheap shots. Body slamming our kicker twice? Then two guys purposely hit him in the back while he's on the ground. If Jo Byrns has to play at CA watch out. They are being coached to injure. Tough play is one thing but I've never seen such a repeated and sustained effort to inflict injuries to your opponent through uncalled personal fouls. A couple of those officials deserve a suspension.

  4. Where are the CA folks?  Don't tell me this week's game plan is so secretive that you had to swear to the coaches you wouldn't get on here .  I'm beginning to wonder if you'll have any fans at the game.

It's clear that Clarksville Academy fans would rather have a root canal than play NCS. Those home bleachers at Keeton Field North (formerly Simpson Field) are pretty comfortable and are going to be rather empty so NCS fans should feel free to sit on either side. It's nice to have a practical home field advantage 60 miles away. :roflol:

  5. http://<a href="http://www.threadbombing.com/details.php?image_id=5906"><img src= "http://www.threadbombing.com/data/media/2/tumblr_lkn3geyaep1qh3tf2o1_400.gif" border="0" alt="Animated Gifs" /> </a>

Nashville Christian should be worried anytime they have to travel. It may not be this week or anytime this year for that matter but at some point NCS will have to eat some good old fashioned home cooking like they served up last week. What comes around goes around.

Even though Lipscomb Academy is slummin it Friday when they visit East, they gonna be servin up some slap stew.

    Lipscomb 45 - East Nashville - 28 + (6 personal fouls,1 lineman downfield, & 1 Kickoff TD called back)

    :bored:

  6. I completely understand that scoreboard watching is not a good barometer for comparing two teams (injuries, etc. make this a tough comparison), but.....

Two common opponents (both 2A schools) should help a little in seeing how this one might turn out.

    Harpeth 19, CA 0

    Harpeth 24, NCS 55

Cheatham County 16, CA 17 (OT)

    Cheatham County 0, NCS 31

We put up 55 points on Harpeth, CA was shut out.

We put up 31 points on CCC, CA only scored 10 in regulation.

The thread was getting boring, so thought I would put something out there to get some CA folks involved

Also, NCS could have hung 80 on Harpeth and 60 on Cheatham County. Coach put it in 2nd gear early on. Unlike our brothers down in the Pitts of the South Berg, we don't run up the score (76-0 a few weeks ago against 0-9 team). Spare me "the little Johnny" excuses/stories please Pitt fans.  :popcorneater:

South Pittsburgh - Where they run up the score on a hapless, winless team. You want to talk about disrespect? Beating Lookout Valley 76-0 is classless.

NCS would take a knee every down for the rest of the game if it got to be 49-0 in the second quarter.

    End of art's post.

Art seems to talk out of both sides of his mouth when it comes to class and respect.  He seems to expect it from others, but not from himself.

Your statement is a prima facie example of a non sequitur.

  8. You better be worrying about what stands between you and the big show instead of who you might face cause I guarantee you if SP can somehow win the battles against these tough teams between now and then you can rest assure whoever is there with them will have a 4 full qtrs ahead of them . Personally I still believe UC will be in cookeville not NCS. Sorry other NCS fans no disrespect meant to uou or your players im sure you folks are pretty good folks but fans like this little kid gives your team a bad rap.Good luck to UC .....

Oh it's Mr, Serious...just having a little fun...lighten up gramps.....go drink some prune juice. Everybody at NCS, including me knows it won't be an easy road to Cookeville. Union City is scary good, and secretly I'm worried about them, but let's keep that between you and me, OK. I have a reputation to protect!

  9. Typical teenage response. I ask for some discussion about who would win and why. Not some smart butt remark.

Some of the other NCS posters can sugar coat it for you, but not me. Don't expect a letdown from NCS. We are going to bash you early and often. The only fun for Academy fans will be your colorful announcer. NCS is going to beat the Academy like an orphaned circus monkey.

  10. *Game is being played at CA Sports Complex

*NCS will bring a 8-1 record into this game vs CA at 6-3.

*NCS s coming off a big win over East Nashville and CA is coming off a bye week

*Winner of game is assured a share of District Championship.

*Both teams will make playoffs regardless of game outcome.

*NCS has more size, strength and numbers.

*NCS will have over 40 players dressed and CA will have around 25.

*NCS is at full strength, CA has been plagued with injuries throughout the season.

*NCS and CA split in their two meeting last year.

*For whatever reason the team truly don't like each other.

*Both are small private schools with great academics and fantastic sports programs.

*All the talking heads have NCS willing big.

*Press says NCS has 4-6 can't miss division one football players and CA had none.

? Will NCS look past CA thinking about South Pitt?

? Will CA be able to stop NCS potent offense, score some points and pull the upset?

? Will NCS blow CA out?

? Who will will the Coaching battle. Brothers or Hood?

? Which team is in better shape?

? Will NCS fans travel to CA and support their team?

? Who will win the game and what will be the score?

? Can "David slay Goliath "?

I think CA (at least hope), they will rise to the challenge and pull the Big Upset. It will be a tight game. 24-21. CA must get some turnovers and play GREAT defense. It will be a challenge. There will be a crowd at the game.

You should try cutting those prozacs in half, GTripleDip.   NCS - 56  CA - 7

  11. Wow is all I can say. Two east kids cramped up. One NCS kid did the same. One east kid tore acl but not because of any so called punishing hits. NCS is good but not punishing at all. If east can pc's hits then I'm sure they can handle those dished out by NCS. NCS was big but slow. No way would I say punishing though. Not even remotely close to it. East doesn't have any thugs on the team. Maybe the refs had the same thought you did and maybe that is why the outcome was predetermined. And NCS didn't conquer anyone. You have to be kidding. I left out a delay of game penalty when the delay was never counted down, a first down for NCS that was obviously a half yard short because NCS had to get to the 50 and ball was placed at the 49 and a half, an interception that clearly bounced off the ground and was trapped, etc.

In my first post I was very respectful of NCS and still feel they are a good team and the people I talked to we're very nice. However, I am responding because one poster made comments that in my opinion were way off the mark. No way NCS even belongs on the field with east if game is called fairly and consistently on both sides.

Me and my homies in the student section all agreed that the missed delay of game penalty was the difference................... :)

We are just glad to know South Pittsburg won't be citing officiating or cramps (menstrual?) when NCS whoops up on them in Cookeville! :popcorneater:

I'm sure ole pirate & Ambassador would agree.........LMBO

  12. Ok well now I will get started since I read the last post. NCS won because of one little thing. The outcome was predetermined by a group of men who took it upon themselves to give NCS a chance to win, the officials. East out coached, tell me how. Offensively east could not be stopped except for some bogus calls that should not have been made. East had a touchdown called back late for ineligible downfield. The kid was two yards downfield after the ball was thrown. Ref looking to throw a flag. East rolled up nearly four hundred yards of offense not counting that td. Defensively east kept your stud rb in check most of the night. I would say he had around 70 yards. Oh he also had at least one fumble. East did give up too many big plays though to the qb. Special teams I'll give that one to NCS. East had a botched kickoff return that NCS recovered that gave NCS momentum. Better conditioned don't think so. Linemen gassed ok maybe a couple near the end. Your skill guys couldn't cover a screen pass all night long so I would say that's a wash at best. And finally you wanted it more. Haha. Two touchdowns called back. Unsportsmanlike because a kid was excited after a big play, ineligible downfield -two yards, intentional grounding when qb was out of the pocket ball thrown ten yards downfield to a receiver five yards from where the ball landed, late hit when the rb was running down your sideline fighting for extra yardage and no whistle yet because the rb was still in bounds, etc. you all didn't want it anymore than east did. You just had a whole heck of a lot of help along the way.

As I already said two NCS parents apologized to the east coaches because of what they said was unfair officiating. That should tell you something. NCS is a good team and should be in cookeville in a few weeks but your points were way off in my opinion. Good luck the rest of the year.

"two NCS parents apologized to the east coaches because of what they said was unfair officiating "

    BLESS YOUR HEART.......

You seemed to have left out the punishing hits we put on your team. How many of your players were carried off the field? I lost count after four.

Also the refs didn't call at least 3 facemasks and a myriad (it means "A BUNCH") of late hits of after the whistle personal fouls against EAST. East has some GREAT athletes but they had many THUGS who got frustrated after NCS came back and took the lead.

A dose of reality for you....EAST came, NCS SAW and CONQUERED!

Translation: NCS tore into EAST like a hobo into a bologna sandwich.

    DEAL WITH IT!
