  1. I heard Chactow Otis is showing a movie this monday to the players, it is call hoop dreams. Dribble Dribble Shoot Shoot. Ladies and Gentlemen, It's basketball time in William Blount. How about the Alanwick alley oopers. Hurricanes gonna roll a little tribe this week.
  2. Bump bump bump bump. What is that I hear...basketballs bouncing
  3. Sounds to me like both of the Otis brothers were being selfish. The coach sacraficing his brothers football future just to try and win a couple of games and the player for going somewhere where he will be the big man on campus instead of being a part of a good team. In that case, they both have gotten what they deserve. But I do not know them, just my third party view.
  4. I am not real familiar with the Otis kid other than his brother getting on the "T" and pumping him up. I heard that Horton transferred because of a parent getting a job but that he could have stayed at West but he told all the guys he was going to leave and play for a championship. I have a friend that works in Sevier County that said the Otis kid was very boastful about going to WB, and said he was going to make them so good that they would beat SC in the playoffs. But like I said, I have never spoken to the Otis kid so I do not know if this is sour grapes or the truth. Either way, I do not think anyone should transfer to another school after said school has put three years of hard work and dedication for them to be the best they can be, that is pure selfishness and just like in these two cases, they get what they deserve. I know there is always exceptions but these two do not fall into that catagory. If the Otis kid's brother loved him, he should have said stay and play good football cause we aint gonna play good ball at WB this year. Maybe next year, but not this year.
  5. and let me tell you that rock was comfy. I have watched both these teams play my Hurricans and I will honestly say that I think it will be a good game. Could be over by 8:30 with limited passing and pretty much a running clock becuase of all the runs between the tackles. I do think Bearden has better athletes but they have just not seemed to get it together this year, but WB has seemed to face the same problems week in week out or so it sounds like on here. Neither team has beaten anyone worthy of praise so neither team has a victory to hang their hat on. If coaches are using players to get messages to parents, that may be the underlying issue with WB. Just how they do things unproffessionally. Either way, Choctaw Otis should probably focus on getting his brother a bunch of stats tonight seeing as it is his last chance. Funny how both of these running backs left their respected schools for "greener pastures" only to find out the grass aint always greener on the other side of the fence. Mo. West has had their worst year in a decade or more and will still finish with more wins than Horton and Otis has lost twice as many games this season as he did in 3 years at SC. Got to find the irony in that.
  6. Choctaw Otis it is good to see you back on the "T" where you belong. Hey, I know you have had a bad year coaching and all but it is certianly not for nothing. You have been able to get your brother the exposure he needs to get that SEC scholarship offer. Other than that, what a waste of a year in which expectations were so high and talent was there, but production just did not match up. Anyway, after your game this week against Bearden, which should be called the battle of the second to last, come watch us play in the playoffs...we will be at home. I would say the only team that has been more disappointing than WB is Bearden so I think you guys have a shot. We roasted the bulldogs with ease. But, good to hear from you again Coach Otis. Go Saints
  7. Where is Choctaw60. I always love to hear Coach Otis talk only about his brother.
  8. If CC has 4 teams on the schedule that have a 50% winning percentage, lets see how they do against them. So far, they have only played one team that going to even make the playoffs and they lost. Way too early to be bragging about the schedule that you have not even played yet. All I said is that they went out and got an easier out of conference schedule.
  9. No wonder WB was terrible if they are scheming on Fridays. By gameday, they whole game plan should be locked in and ready to go with no changes. heck, it should be locked in by Wednesday. Sounds like bad coaching to me. And of course the East band played while WB was on offense, that is what bands are supposed to do. I noticed several WB starters and players who were playing looking up into the stands when they came off the field. Not sure if they were looking for mommy, honey, or just seeing if people were looking at them but they were definitely distracted.
  10. The JC fans must have already called this year a failure and moved on to the basketball threads. How boring with no to trash talk against the WB faithful. I would, but iI just cannot make myself saying anything positive about JC. I think it is just in my DNA to say nothing but negative things about old IMAC opponents.
  11. NO. They have 4 wins over teams that have losing records. Cumberland Gap 2-3, Lynn 0-4, Knox Central 2-2, Clinton 2-3. Not to mention those teams have not beaten anyone with a with a winning record except Central's upset win over Powell. Not saying they are bad coaches, just have not done anything to warrent coach of the year. They did lighten the out of conference schedule a whole bunch though.
  12. SECfighter, That was probably the most impressive post ever on coacht. I agree that the talent has always been there and we should have been much better two years ago with Thompson and Ricker in the backfield together. That was probably the toughest year ever losing to West by 2 when I knew we had as much or more talent than them. This year I know we have the advantage in talent speed size and confidence. I am not sure how Brown and his staff will convince the West players that they can actually compete with us but they are accustom to beating us so we will see. I really like our chances this year and I think East will put on a show that will keep Morristown people talking for months. I just do not think they can stop us
  13. Just about anyone can rush for 150+ yards against the compitition you have faced. Trust me, I know how bad the East defense is and they have been the best defense you have faced by far. If you can only score 7 points against Heritage and do not have like 10 offensive starters out, you better enjoy the win because it will be your last. I am not being jerk (well okay maybe a little) but the remainder of your schedule is not looking favorably. LC is down and Bearden is struggling (not sure why) but Maryville is well Maryville, West is very fast, Bearden is still talented, JC is talented, and I do not think Farragut will sleep walk into this years game. However, If the RB has an average of 150+ yards rushing at the end of the season, I will eat crow (Lord knows I have done it before). Govfan, I see our friendship building and soon we too will be best buds like Jake and Governers91.
  14. Well, East has always had the best athletes and now they are finally playing up to their potential. I figure this is just the beginnning. Pretty soon more kids will be trying to find ways to get to play at East rather than West. I think the West days are not just numbered, I think they are over. Just a fans hope I guess.
