  1. KW thanks again! The work he has put into high school football is unbelievable, he has been in the weight room since the last game trying to help himself in the college market. He has another visit at Tusculum the 18th.He is a very hard worker.Good luck the Coalfield boys also.

I wish him the best of luck. Tusculum would be very lucky to have him

  2. Yeah it looks like they got their "orange and black" mixed up.  The $250 fine was lifted from Coalfield and assessed to South Pittsburg.

Any clue why there wasnt any suspensions? Not that it matters now but CF got hammered with suspensions for leaving the bench a few years ago. Heck, they even suspended the ball boy who is a grown man because he was breaking up the fight. And dont give me any crap because this is on topic

Things like this is what makes people leave. Who in their right dang mind would pay even $1 after reading your post? Before the SP people left, I said that the mods would ruin this sight and now your most loyal fan base has left. I think im going to follow them as well. You guys are a joke

  4. Now that you mention it, #28's dad was known as The Bus when he was carrying the ball for The Pirates. How is that for tradition?

Choo choo. That T word is what high school football is all about. Crazy thing is when you're from CF, your phone can't even spell the T word. Considering we are 0-6 against you guys, id say 6 times isn't the magic number for us to get trucked
  5. Due to the rivalry in Marion, most kids that live in Jasper go to Marion. S. Pitt goes to S. Pitt. Not just saying that because I'm from South Pittsburg.

Marion used to be considered the Bullies of the Valley. It hasn't always been this way. Each team takes the crown for a while. BTW MC wasn't that terrible this year. They were second in the district, had a Mr. Football Finalist made it to the Playoffs. I am not sure on the overall record but when they played SP they had only lost 1 I believe. Not positive. They aren't just terrible. SP just has more athletes. Like I said MOST of the players at SP are raised there.

Where do all of the Whitwell athletes go
  6. KickinWing11...we (our players) will enjoy this for about a week. Then the work begins to be back in the same position next year. There is a reason we only have roughly 30 players. It ain't easy to be a part if this team.

Very well said. I never thought of it that way. Everyone wants to be part of something like that and if it were easy then I bet you guys would have 50 players or so. Im sure there are at least 20 players who just want to be part of the team but don't have what it takes to do the year round grind. Great post man.
  7. Thank you. Look for more in the near future. All 3 youth teams (5-12 yr olds) went undefeated champs this year and the Jr High only lost one game regular season to a 4A school. ;)

Anyone who knows anything about high school football will always keep tabs on you guys and expect you guys to be at the top
  8. Oh did you really think we were recruiting? I guess we could take that asa compliment. I think almost all of these boys' great grandparents grew up in Trousdale County.

You guys are the cream of the crop every year. People on the outside always want to know what really goes on. So yes, a compliment to you guys.
  9. Alright go back and read what I said in my post when I pointed out the fact you said what you did in the SP thread. I gave ya reason they are so good right there! Now to answer another question I pull for the Jackets except for one Friday night a year unless it effects how my team seeds in playoffs etc. Last time I am responding to this because I won't get into more of a debate. This day belongs to the Jackets and there are a few who have respect for other DESERVING programs!

Now congrats again to the Jackets! You guys deserved it once again and proved if you bust yours you can whip theirs any day!

Thank you for leaving. And the jackets don't need your butt kissing
  10. I'm tellin' you ... it really is genetic in those programs. Pick up a roster from 10 or 20 years ago, and you will see a lot of the same names as players and coaches. Sure a wringer shows up ever once in a while, but that's gonna happen.

But like I said before, all that in-breedin' has its down side.

Thank you for answering the question that I asked.
  11. No offense taken. You guys know the teams out there better than me. I was just trying to say that SP (the one I watched yesterday morning) was not the second best team in the state. And all the jawing from their posters on here turned out to be quite comical. They really had me believing I was going to be watching a team capable of stomping every team in the state regardless of classification. Now I know better than to ever believe them again.

    +1
  12. Sorry if what I said came off as a tough guy threat. I don't make threats and I guarantee face to face I'd tell ya same as I would here. Most of the Coalfield folks I have came across are fine folks but they say every team has them and I reckon you be the Coalfield "ONE". Congrats! Now be a good lad and go troll somewhere else as the fine folk from Hartsville deserve this one!

I said everything nice that I possibly could about their program, coaches and athletes. They are second to none. I was just asking a question and for some reason you guys get so dang sensitive just like the SP people. I don't know how asking a question is trolling so why don't you and rlh go play tough guy somewhere else and let us talk football like this site is intended for. It seems like other TC people have given reasonable answers so why can't you? Are you even a TC fan?
  13. This has been answered in different threads in different ways. Pay attention. The county is relatively large area wise but has only 28,000 people. There are 4 H.S., 3 of which have a football team, SP, Marion County High (Jasper) and Whitwell. Regarding #3, it doesn't allow open zoning in the way you think. IF, there is space, a student can apply to go to that school and it has to be approved. As far as the TSSAA is concerned, Marion County Schools have bus routes. If a kid starts out as a Freshmen, there is no issue. After that, they would have to set out a year.

Actually, this is NOT that common and the few cases that it has happened, they had a long relationship with the community.

So as long as you live in Marion County you can go to any high school in the county as long as you start out there as a freshman?
