Mavericks 13U (AAA) Team Tryouts Sunday, September 8th at Smith Field in Franklin from 2:00-3:30 pm (CST) Smith Field 3720 N Chapel Rd, Franklin M.A.D. Baseball Academy Founder, Coach and 1994 4th round pick of LA Dodgers, Judd Granzow, will be the head coach of this team. Each player goes through an 8 week training program, beginning in January 2014, done by ex pro and college baseball players. The regular season will begin after Middle School season concludes. We will participate in 6-8 tournaments (local and out of town) and a travel league for local mid week games. Paid coach(es) are current or former college players and are not related to any potential player or family on the team which has proven to be a positive and productive model for development and improvement. We are seeking all positions. Please arrive at 1:45 for registration, tryout to begin at 2pm and conclude at 3:30. The tryout and evaluation will follow a “pro-style†format as follows: 1. Speed: 60 yard dash (run twice and timed both times) 2. Arm Strength: Outfielders: RF to 3B/Infielders: SS to 1B 3. Batting Practice (Drop 3 bat is preferred) 4. Agility/Athleticism ** Pitchers and catchers (bring your own gear) will get evaluated in bullpens ** Thank you for evaluating your son’s 2014 baseball opportunity with the M.A.D. Baseball Academy.
