I would congratulate West on their win. It was well deserved. Now to address this post, Hillsboro is anything but awful considering the game they were playing in. Perry did plenty but as always, it takes 11 men every play and one player can't do it all. West had the better team and game plan. On any given Friday night that could easily change and being in the state championship is enough said. Anything else borders arrogance and unsportsmanlike conduct. 15 yard penalty buddy!

It isn't easy to sit and watch what unfolds. Regardless, I have to help him rise above. I'm the vent...he's the proof in the pudding.

I just explained to my son that life isn't always fair. I directed him to congratulate those who won as they don't truly play a part in the voting. I then told him he will go on through adversity and accomplish great things. Those who don't work for the accolades fade away. Those who work for the sake of being better always win in the end. Congrats to West! Proud of E. TN and what we have to offer.

I disagree...He seems like a paper tiger. I've heard many referring to him as Hurt. That bothers me as I don't wish injuries to any player. Foster suffered much the same but got the job done in the end.

Hurd still has to make a believer out of me. He's there already so I hope he does as I love my Vols. Yes, he goes down easy. Sorry, but not many yards after contact and he sure hasn't broken a tackle. Send me the video...because you can't. He's gotten yards on open runs.

Yes Hurd has three more years to improve. Perry is very fast, but on the next level size and strength might hinder that. If he breaks loose, Perry is dangerous.

Feel good moment when the announcers said Cottrell has 400 yards in rushes called back. That would put him over 2k. Done in regular season already but Cottrell is an excellent back with big play ability. Love watching him run.
