I’m just statin facts. I’m sorry if that’s offends you. I mean if y’all don’t win the gold ball it will be a shame

Offend me not at all.  But I hate that you are bad mouthing a whole program over one guys comment.  I’ll admit I’m a York homer and I’ll root for them if they are competing in anything.  Best of luck to you and your Indians.

Yeah we are horrible. We ain’t got a kid that could play anywhere else. Heck we couldn’t even fill up water bottles for York. We may be able to at least hand them out for TP.

I understand you’re passionate about your program. Just like others are for theirs but don’t you think it’s time to grow up. My goodness give it a rest. I think the majority of the fans from York respect the program of Oneida.

Agree 100% and Lefew and Bilbrey playing hurt certainly didn't help. I do think they got away from their normal offense to work on things. I think if they played again this Friday, York beats them by 50. But they only would throw it 5 times all game probably. You could tell that Oneida had no chance to score at all. It was complete domination. Most of Oneida's yards came on a broken play where the QB tried to throw it out of bounds but it didd't make it and the CB mistimed his jump or he would have had an easy walkin pick six. Instead it falls into the receiver hands and he gets 20 or so yards. That was Oneida's best play all night, a broken play. It was a break or 2 from being 35-0 at half. York was just killing themselves with bad timing penalties and that snap was a killer. But Lefew was off his game and you could tell. Luckily they didn't need a big game from him. But he will get it together by playoffs.

I didn’t know anyone was injured.  I am definitely a York homer and I have been worried about the offense all year.  Defense is normally playing lights out but the offense seems to struggle.  I have to admit I don’t see a real deep playoff run if the offense plays like they did Friday

I don’t think York gets to semis playin like they did Friday night. That’s just my opinion. If Oneida ain’t got a kid that would start at all at York but yet York couldn’t do more than what they done?? Ahhh I’m skeptical on em. It was closer than the 28-0 score showed. If Oneida had any heartbeat of an offense it would been a very close game. I give credit to Yorks D as well but Oneidas offense was horrendous.

If York don’t shoot themselves in the foot with penalties and a bad snap I think they have at least 21 more in the first half.  But if is a big two letter word.  I agree I didn’t think they played well at all. But played well enough to get the W. Yorks offense didn’t have to do much to win that game.  You don’t have to score much of you hold the other team to ZERO.

Yes as did Oneida on multiple occasions. That’s how it goes and I know you’re well aware of that. Sometimes a team, any and every team, shoots themselves in the foot, sometimes the other team shoots a toe off for you. It’s just football. I’ve said many times our offense was completely ineffective. Some of that is our fault, a lot of that is yorks credit. Same on defense. If we were a team of scrubs then being in our side of the field all night you would’ve scored 100 on us. The claim being made is the only reason that didn’t happen was because of self inflicted circumstances. That and that Oneida doesn’t have a man on the roster that could start for YAI is ridiculous. YAI is a good ball team, far better than Oneida right now overall but the major difference is line play. If we could convert 1st downs then YAI has far fewer plays. Given the offense and the way we played that was a major contributing factor. Again some of that was on us, a lot was credit to the York defense. I don’t know what else to say to be anymore clear about the way I see it. Again I know you understand what I’m saying.

What was the total offensive plays per team?

  6. York shot themselves in the foot multiple times with penalties.  Oneida having 42 yard total offense is a testament to York’s defense as well as Oneida’s inability to block up front. I hope this game stays on the schedule no matter the regions when they are realigned whenever that is. Chineseflu says he wasn’t impressed I have to say I was disappointed in the passing game, but when is YAI ever been known for throwing. I do think York has the athletes on the outside if they could get them the ball.  I’ll be pulling for the Indians to win out.

York will lose this week, but I don't think it will be close.  Wright vs. Samber.  Let's just say their may be some animosity there...lol.  I thought York would be better.  I was not impressed watching the game last night.  Oneida offense played scared or it would have been a closer game.

Welcome back.  Thought you had fell off the face of the earth.

Elite teams like Jackson county and wartburg (before York was in region 2)?   I saw their schedule. How do you think I got their opponents records

Sure they hit a stretch here and there with a tough schedule but historically not so much. Look I’m not trying to start a peeing contest about SOS. Some years we play a top 10 schedule and some years we don’t. We’ve played Upperman when they were elite and traveled to Hampton for regular season games. When we play down we’ve played coalfield and Greenback forever OOR and in. Playing great competition doesn’t mean a team is elite and playing garbage teams don’t mean you’re not a great team. Just like opponents records are meaningless if you beat them. My point was your point was, well, pointless initially. Now your follow up about quality of opponents and fashion in which you win is more relevant but at the end of the year opponent’s record means nothing just the product you put on the field. There we can agree that the product YAI has fielded to date is a clear favorite to the product Oneida has. That fact wouldn’t change if we had the states toughest schedule or the state’s weakest schedule or the same could be said both ways for y’all. We’re improving weekly. Will it be enough? Don’t know yet.

The prior schedule was made by the coach before the present coach.  Coach Wright always plays a rough schedule.  A lot about schedules have to do with who will play and who won’t.  OOR games have bit York in the butt a few times when it goes to over all record.  But at the end of the day you play who you play and you have to win

I agree the Yorkies are the clear favorites and have everything to lose. They should’ve made a run last year, we’ll see if they squander another opportunity this year or not.

The Oneida strength of schedule isn’t great. Everyone can’t play a schedule with a combined record of 13-17 like YAI has. (I’ll save you the trouble, Oneida’s schedule record to date is 11-20). Point being neither are playing world beaters week in and week out. Then again neither are likely a true contender in late November either. I will agree they have the potential to put us away early if we don’t play our best game to date, might do it anyway but ya never know.

If your offense could mustard something to give the d a break they are good enough to keep you all in the game

Giving up 33 to single A Coalfield what makes you think the defense can keep you in a game.  From what I could see watching it on YouTube Oneida had them outsized and still couldn't stop them. Granted I didn't watch the entire game.
