We haven’t been worth the price of admission in a few years.  It is a pitiful mess over here in FC

I see you say that but what have you done positive to try and make the  program better? kids and players pick up on negative vibes that parents and fans give out. How do you expect kids to buy into what the coaches are teaching them when all they hear at home and from fans is how this won’t work or that won’t work?

That is exactly my point!  No one likes the abuse.  Why should any kid have to take that kind of abuse?  Football is a tough game played in hot sticky weather in a lot of gear.  They are tough and good kids just for that alone.  No one deserves to be cussed and called names.  Teach them and coach them.  This game is for the kids not your win loss record.  Good coaching and teaching will bring you wins without having to cuss, ridicule and always putting people down to make you look better.

Sounds like that’s what you did in your post to apsugov7 . Looks like to me you are no better.

According to multiple sources Mac McCurry is GONE. "Take it to the bank" Not just fan talk anymore.

After nearly getting axed at the end of last season, 2019 will indeed be Mac's last in Franklin County.

Also heard that McCurry has already accepted a position to head back to Arkansas next year as an OC. Not as solid on that info but wouldn't doubt it.

So let me be the one to start the conversation, who is the FC Rebels head coach next season?

    Credible sources?

Saying the better team didnt win is not taking anything away from the team that won, it happens sometimes, Cornersville practically dominated in every stat and lost by 1 point, that is a prime example where the better team lost. Having said that, it is more impressive to win a game against a better team, so really by saying this we are giving  more Whitwell more credit.....

I am taking nothing at all away from Whitwell, I watch every single game every year and this by far has been the best game I have seen. Whitwell showed great resilience and did what they needed to do to get it done, now I would have liked to see them miss the extra point so we could see overtime, the game went by too fast.....lol

Cville  dominated in every stat except for mistakes and penalties.

I’m wrong? Ok didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.  BTW. I picked Whitwell to win the game.

Didn't hurt my feelings. Glad you picked them. The team with the least amount of mistakes won the game and that is part of being the best team on the field. I agree that Cville moved the ball better but Whitwell made the stops when they needed to and made the plays that won them the ball game so in my opinion the best team won. Not going to take anything away from Whitwell they are the state champs.

  6. Franklin County had 55 plays vs Page's 50 plays. FC  total offense had 354 yards vs Page's total of 314. FC had 20 first downs vs Page's 17. The difference in the game was that FC had a first down catch  inside Page's 10 yard line on 3rd down that was penalized and was also a loss of down  that killed the drive. FC had a second penalty  that negated a touch down  right before the half. Page is a well-disciplined team and made the least hurtful penalties and therefore, won where it counts the most--the scoreboard.

Coffee Co is young this year so nod goes to the rebels....young and no Alontae

Franklin county is very young also. If I am not mistaken FC only has about 6  seniors that start on one side of the ball or the other they don't play both ways. Rest are juniors and sophomores.  I think it will be a tough season for the Rebels.

Yep. It is good to get the bad play out of the way in a jamboree that doesn't mean anything. We will be ready to go with Beech this Friday. They've struggled this preseason, but that doesn't mean anything. Crabtree always has his boys ready to play, and I love the atmosphere at Beech. Can't wait until Friday!!!!!!

You are correct. Preseason doesn't mean much but it does give insight on where a team might be at the beginning  of a season. I say Wilson Central wins this Friday night.

Tullahoma put the hammer down on Warren County 54-8 in last night's scrimmage at Wilkins Stadium. Briason Corn was unstoppable at running back and Ben Fulton found multiple receivers, including running free in the secondary. Except for a tipped interception attempt that resulted in a Warren County first down near the end zone, the Pioneers would not have scored. Keep your eye on Tullahoma sophomore JaKobe(?) Thomas.

My takeaway is the Wildcats definitely have some playmakers and their linebackers are a real strength. The Pioneers are really bad and will struggle to win a game.

Did Tullahoma scrimmage Columbia Tuesday night? If so how did they do? Heard that Columbia is projected to be a contender for a playoff spot in Region 5 5 a.
