Oh I'm in full agreement that we have the skill and speed this year that we have not had in the past few years and we should get out on the corner a bit more as well would be nice.  We had the warbrittons that ran on energy heart and 2nd and 3rd effort.  those boys were a blast to watch.  but we have some diff talents this year and years to come.  Swenson must have a big joker smile on his face each night when he thinks about his depth and talent coming up.

Mustangs win it in 2nd half  by 18 points, we may not kick the extra points, lol.  that is if we don't have another 4 turnovers and lose three of them.

I agree on #15 should get more touches he was literally a step away from breaking it on every touch but one.  Huge catch that got us to mid field.  Not many high school kids would have hauled that one in.  we are young, we are talented and good times to come and swensen will get it all figured out good coach.

Great game, just have to protect the ball better, we lost by 1 point and had 4 turnovers and lost three of them, and lost by 1 point.  Thus thats a testament to our talent and we had more total yards than Martin, as well we have 4 penalty to their one.   All that said we lost by 1 only.  

 I'm new to this coaching t and its fun.  You guys take can't take it so personal, opinions are like but holes, everyone got one. but some just stink worse than others, lol, but amannamed horse is correct on the defensive coverage.  We rarely ever have 2 safeties.  Stangs run both 4-4 and 4-3, but majority of the night was 4-4, hence only 1 safety, and we fired 2 of the 4 linebacker and completely took them out of the game all night.  The first big play Martin had, quarter back scamper was due to line back fired 5 yards deep into backfield completely over pursued.  we didn't make adjustment and kept doing it all night long.  didn't even have to worry about trying to block Stang linebackers as they kept firing and taking themselves out of play.

Also, I love Coach Swensen the winning air and attitude and positive upbeat he brings, but he can be a little bullheaded sometimes with the ground/pound off tackle.  this year he has speed and studs in the back field. 2 years ago he coached up and chalkboard up an un-expecting team to state championship game, no speed so had to go with the unorthodox beast package same last year other than one hilliard.  But this year you have #3, #15, #11 and on and on stable of running backs & speed, so we don't have to run 44 & 33 super powers 10 times in a row.  I don't recall one sweep play vs chargers that they didn't get 10+ yards on, but we didn't try it enough.  But hey I don't have a state championship ring on my finger nor a runner up so take us to the promise land again Swenson.

You are incorrect sir! Quincy did play the 2nd half, just not at Quarterback. The coach obviously had to try something because things weren't going so well offensively or defensively for the Lions

As for your Memphis 300 lb coach, last I checked, a coach never physically touchses the field to play a down and you might want to check your TEAM, football is the essence of team sport and if your coach is so worried about one player that means no backups/depth is worthy, and the starter is not making 20 Million personally and francise depending on him or a potential BCS champsion ship game with $10 Milllion for school on the line, thus for a highchsool kid to wear red Jersey still unheard of.

With that said I pray each night before games for both teams and would never want a win for Stangs or anyting the cost of an injured Kid.

Oh ya for the TCA fan, I as well never heard of a red jersery being worn in a scrimage game High School, you must have a soft team, hence your loss in week zero and I supspect few more losses to come for you this season.  Stangs as well had a freshman running back, that run over and stepped on the chest of one of your D1A recrutied linebackers, lol, the hit could have been heard all the way up on the court square 3 blocks away.

LOL, Stangs not only beat South Gibson with a full crew sutited up, but demoralized them, beating them 7 scores to 2 scores.   If Camden only beat them by 3, then they must be soft this year, and Stangs beat Camden this year at home by 2+ TD's. 

Also in the earlier threads, about Martin vs Dresden, the new coach of dresden moved his best athelete on the team on Wed to Quarterback, thus he had 2 days of practice  as a QB for a spread offense, didnt work out well for him, benched the quaterback starting 2nd half and put a senior in at QB and quincy sat the bench the whole 2nd half, thus his best athelete on the team did not even play in 2nd half??  Not follwing the methology of this new Dresden coach.

Westview will put the ponies of Huntingdon back in the trailer early this Friday. I'll be glad when we can get past all these little single A "teams" on our schedule and play some real football. Since Huntingdon usually plays up when they face the mighty Chargers, I'll be generous with my final score prediction....Westview wins by 21.

LMBO, Mustangs have run over all opponents since sprint, South Gibson, Fall TCA, Fall South Gibson, Lexington, hum, I believe thats three wins over 3A schools, Stangs have Brutally tough offense, in shape and 8 deep at running back, good luck as you'll need it if you think you win by 21, still LMBO....  Stangs will control line of scrimmage and clock with their powerful ground attack.

Mustang fans are putting the cart before the horse. They haven't played the first game yet.

The Cart was hooked up going all the way back to spring, they beat Sout Gibson like a red headed step child, now they have beat South Gibson again and Lexington.  Thus already beat a couple 3A schools this year and have done it smash mouth.  We'll see who prevails smash mouth or Martins passing game.  Huntingdon will control the clock and score 80+% of their possesions.

The Huntingdon Mustangs are on a role.  2011 undefeated 7-0, 2012 6-1, 2013 undefeated 7-0.  2014 out of gate 2-0 and looks promising for another undefeated season.

Oh ya mustangs looked good in vs gleason but so did mckenzie. the new office looked good because no turnovers. the power offense didnt have an issue moving the ball either, just all those durn fumbeles inside the 10 yd line was killing them, mustangs by a td and undisputed-undefeated county champs!

Yep, you dont go from looking like a potential 10-0 team to loosing 2 out of three but for fumbels, chemistry and/or injuries. protect the ball especially in the red zone and all is well. but have had turnovers just about everygame inside the ten.

Whether its football or life working earning wages i agree fully seniority is a tie breaker if everything is equal. it used to be an honor to just play/letter as a sophmore, i know freshemen got the saturday morning props, only diff in them and jrs and srs' which moved the ball wll, is the fr protected the ball and put td on the board. should fr start next game, no dont be crazy. but a little healthy competition initiated by coaching staff is great. if srs and jrs going to pout like they have the last three weeks and come out flat then i say go to fr sooner this week. no spot whether running back or lineman should be set in stone if not giving a enthusiastic 110%. anyone calling for swensons head doesnt know much about football and coaching and probably has never even coached a tball team. lol

Lets go jrs and srs time to step up and play ball. It's homecoming, time to leave it all on the field.

Mustangs are not the same team for what ever reason that played their hearts out and beat Martin what now seems like a season ago after the two beatdowns we,ve taken the last two weeks. with three missing ingredients for winning, in stangville, energy-enthusiasim-excitement, homecoming is up for grabs! if they set aside all selfish and divivded motives and get the three E's back stangs by two touchdowns. if they come on field like they did and barely enough energy to break through the paper banner and lay the ball om the ground 2+ times they get beat by two td's.
