  1. I agree I think Elizabethton is the front runner of their conference. They are much different than they were last year IMO,I think their biggest flaw is their inside game and ability to rebound the basketball. But on the brightside I can see a leaps and bounds improvement out of the Robinson girl. She's very athletic, can knock down the 15 footer and has a quick first step when she puts it on the floor from the foulline. But they have no need to worry they are going to be pretty strong I just dont think you will be able to tell how strong until after Christmas. Well after assessing all the teams in the conference I am going to make my predictions for this year and I may be eating crow come February so someone might have to get me a big glass of water to wash it down 1.Elizabethton 2.Sullivan East 3.Sullivan South 4.Johnson County 5.Happy Valley 6.Unicoi 7.Sullivan North
  2. You might want to check their schedule eaglesball24.ScienceHill,Cosby,Richlands,Hampton And going to Dorman will not be no cake walk as well. Elizabethton is good but nowhere near the team they were last year.
  3. If i had to guess I am sure they will start Both the twins,Bradley at the 1 maybe petrowski at the 5 and maybe issaics. But both twins and Bradley will be for sure starters.
  4. Giving my opinion I think Perry is by far the better guard. And the reason I say that is that she is more of a scoring threat on the floor than Bradley is. Last year there were about 2 or 3 teams that didn't even guard her. In the games I saw played they would just sag and help or double another player.Which is what I would do this year anytime she is in the game or make her shoot the basketball.Perry was thrown in the fire early last year so she is battle tested and a competitor. Any Word if Hodge,Mccrary or Bowers is going to play this year?
  5. They are very capable of being one of the better teams in AA this year.I just think that with the likes of Gatlinburg Pittman,Fulton,CAK,Alcoa and Grainger County it will be a tough task to make it down to Murfreesboro.
  6. Excuse myself. correction "Watauga" conference. I think that was an issue that might have fell through CHS. There was talk that might have been a possibility but from what I have heard they are going to return to Elizabethton High School for their sophmore season.
  7. We are a little over a Month away and girls basketball is right around the corner. What is everyones thoughts coming into this years season.I am going to go ahead and give my preview and hopefully get a few other opninions. 1.Elizabethton- Is clearly the front runner in my opnion. Even though they lost Depew,Demoss and Robertson they still return both the twins and a good supporting cast to go along with them. However I still think this team will be different and will be a little easier to be exposed.Their key to being successful is 1.Can they be consistent at the point guard position and 2.How Efficient can they be in the post. Improvement of those will take this team as deep as they wanna go. 2.Sullivan South- They return everyone back off of last years team except for one. This is a very tough Sullivan South team who is very physical and shoots the ball well. I just think the only problem they will struggle with is they are lacking numbers in depth and I believe the adapting to the new coaching change could be a problem as well. 3.Sullivan East- One thing you can bank on with Sullivan East is they are going to play hard on the defensive end of the floor and they shoot the basketball very well. Coach Aubrey is one of the most underrated coaches in this conference I dont think alot of people take notice of his ability to get a great amount of energy night in and night out.Losing the Sommers girl will hurt them but they are very deep enough to make an impact. 4.Johnson County- This is my dark horse for this 2013-2014 season. They return 4 starters back from last year including in my opinion one of the best point guards in the conference in Brooke Brown. They took alot of top teams in East Tennessee last year down to the wire. But they will be very lacking in depth. I think with some developement with supporting cast around Brown this team could possibly be a 3rd or 4th place type of team. 5.Unicoi County- Well with losing one of the best players in the conference in Emily Edwards there is one word that will tell the tell of this years team Identity. If you ever noticed When Edwards didn't carry the load this team struggled especially towards the end of the year.Their biggest key is they are going to have to be a balanced scoring team because they dont have an Emily Edwards with this group. They play good in the halfcourt on defense and they rebound the ball extremely well.If they can maintain a good scoring balance from their guards and keep up the toughness on the defensive end they will give theirself a chance. 6.Happy Valley- We found out what this team was capable of last year after shocking the conference and making it to the district championship only to fall in the regionals to a very tough Grainger county team. The good thing is they return 4 starters with a talented group of JV players coming up.The bad news is filling the role at the point guard position.Losing the Perry girl will hurt them early until they find a true point guard. In order for them to be a contending team they are going to have to get better on the defensive end of the floor.Their were times last year they were giving up alot of points to teams that wasn't really great scoring teams.I look for this team to be a pretty good basketball team after christmas. 7.Sullivan North- This team lacks alot in talent but you have to give them credit where credit is due. They took some pretty brutal lumps last year but they play hard for 4 quarters and you can't fault them for that. I atleast hope they win a few games this year to give those kids some confidence.
