Just a note to say thank you to all the coaches, players, and parents for your patience and understanding in getting this play day in. With a total of 15 teams, we played 24 games as scheduled (according to the alternate schedule) with only one mix-up (that I know of). We appreciate your continued participation and hope you return next year four our 15th annual - always the last weekend in February. Thanks again and good luck to all this season!

Heritage High School will be hosting our 2nd Annual Lady Mountaineer JV Classic tournament on April 22, 2017. Entry fee is $250 with a 4-game guarantee. Schools interested should contact Jeff Sherman at jeff.sherman@blountk12.org or 865-984-8110.

Heritage High School will be hosting the 15th annual Lady Mountaineer Play Day. The date is February 25, 2017 and the cost is $100 with four games. Rain date will be March 4. Please contact Jeff Sherman at jeff.sherman@blountk12.org or 865-984-8110 if you want to register your team.

For the record, I would not recommend this venue to any high school team from our state! Although we have an early spring break, we were the only softball team at the Expo along with two Canadian baseball clubs. We requested 6 games - played one against a local high school. Unfortunately, we had no idea that our schedule only contained a single game until after we arrived in Cocoa. The housing was adequate and the dining was very good, however, the organization is awful!

Thanks to all who participated in this year's play day. We had a great turn out and hope to be even better next year. Keep us in mind for the last weekend of February, 2017!
