  1. Looking at scores, common opponents and things of that nature lead me to believe this will be a Oakland win.  Ravenwood defense looks to be inconsistent and has given up a good deal of points to some very average to below average teams.  I believe at least two of their wins are against 1-7 teams and one against a 0-8 Franklin team.  They certainly appear to be able to score points on offense but I would assume that other than Alcoa, they haven't faced a defense as strong as Oaklands.  I look for Oakland to dominate in all three phases.  Don't know about what kind of kicker Ravenwood has but in the last 8 years that I ran the scoreboard during the Creasy era, I never saw a kicker like the ones Oakland has had.  Pretty consistent touchbacks and if 3 are needed, your chances are much better than average of getting them.  Oakland by 21 at least.

Who thinks that?  Both are having good seasons…that’s all.

Lol..probably nobody.  Just seems to be a lot of talk around here about those two programs.  Sometimes I get bored and like to stir the pot a little.  Yes, they are both having good seasons against some good 6A programs.  We'll see how they do against an elite 6A program.

  3. Bearden/Bradley?  I can't keep em straight which is which.   I know they're both supposed to be good.  I just hope that Oakland gets the opportunity to play one of them.  And end all this foolishness of some folks thinking either will be the next Murvil.   Ain't happening.   Unlikely anyone will repeat what they have done.  Unless Creasy decides to stick around that long.   And then possible.

I agree great player got big future in college and likely NFL. Likely best RB in OAKLAND history.

And the thing about it is that he shared carries with another very good running back.   Antonio Patterson, who plays for FIU now.  How gaudy would James numbers be if he had all the carries.  I believe James averaged right at 120 yds/game and Patterson about 80 yds/game.

Congrats to Safety Craig Tutt on his first FBS offer from Vanderbilt,  should be the first of many.

Was real glad to see Jordan James play well against Washington today (11 carries for 63 yards and TD)

It made me smile the other day watching Sportscenter Highlights when Jordan James popped up and saw him running one in for the TD.  He was exceptional at Oakland.  Really enjoyed getting to watch him for all those games.

If things turn south, we can always hype the freshmen, JV and middle school teams.

Lol....exactly.  I'm a Oakland homer big time but nothing to see here.  Business as usual on Patriot Drive.

And to clarify my statement.  I don't really think that Oakland will cruise through the playoffs without some serious competion from other teams.  It's just that so far they haven't had to play any of those.  Looking forward to the Riverdale game and playoffs.  I'm sure it will get more interesting then.

History lesson - that is the way Creasy likes it, 22 unknowns, next man up.

Agreed and he has the hardware from Trousdale County to prove it.  Yes he has had some great athletes at Oakland but he can get the best out of whoever he has.   He's the difference maker in that program.

I agree man. Cleveland beat us last year right? Ok and walker valley beat Cleveland. Bradley just beat walker valley tonight 35-0 Bradley is a powerhouse team and I mean powerhouse team. I’m saying it like this… let’s see what Bradley and neardon game looks like.. if Bradley puts a beat down on them… then… that’s it for me… Bradley goes to the 4th round and plays Oakland. Oakland better be fast, they better know how to stop that offense because I haven’t seen and offense like that since our 2014 offense lol or alcoas 2006 offense hahaha boo carter,Caleb matting, terry they got some D1 players lined up

Oakland is always fast.  Always.  Also very solid on defense.   Hopefully Bradley beats neardon and makes it to the semis and has a matchup with Oakland.   Love for Bradley to get a taste of what Oakland is about.

The more you do something the more chances you have at success

Not always.  Yeah it didn't  work out well for tygard at Blackman.  I don't believe it made a difference in a single game last year in favor of them.  It gave lots of opposing teams great field position though.

So I'm assuming he still is...:lol:

not sure why TSU came over but we have lots of other folks using our turf which as we have discussed is one of the benefits.  i think LA works out on saturdays but not sure about practice.  i'm usually gone by 9:30.

the broadcast is still on youtube and I thought it was pretty well done.  way better than NFHS for sure.

Thanks but I must admit I had an different motivation for asking.  I had watched it already and thought the quality was pretty good. Def better than that garbage NFHS puts out. My 21 year old son works in film/video production and was one of the two cameramen on this game.  He's done tons of work on music videos, commercials, reality TV, documentaries, Netflix , Amazon and other streaming services but this was his first football game.  His only other sports job is a recurring gig on pro boxing in Nashville.  Just wanted at least one unbiased opinion.  Thank you.  He enjoyed it and hopes to get more of those types of jobs to build his resume.

  11. I realize this is the wrong  forum and I also posted up in the Div II forum but it seems to get very little traffic as compared to this particular one but here it goes.

By any chance did anyone here watch the streaming broadcast of the IMG vs Lipscomb game?  I was wondering how the quality of it was compared to NFHS.  This one was done through a company called FloSports that I've never heard of before,

Ravenwood offenses pretty good the two running backs for a returning one have thousand yards rushing last year. Do you want to add like 500 and something yards raven I want a Defense is gonna be better than last year a lot stronger than what they were last year. But I think I’ll cover the office and defense. What does outplay  I think Alcoa will be the better team because they’re a lot stronger in the deep inside of the ball and off inside the ball but I think that’s Kamiya good game I think that Alco win this by two touchdowns  insane linebackers are better for Alcoa

    Thanks?
