The referees have control of this one so far. A couple big plays for each side. One sides stood, the others did not.

NCS
in Division II
On 8/5/2018 at 12:14 AM, wildcat89 said:Wow! Thought I'd come over to the D2 board to check on my old friends and can't believe what I'm reading! NCS used to be one of the tightest group of coaches/players/parents in high school football, what has happened? Seems like making the jump to D2 is taking its toll on the eagles, not as much fun playing on their own level instead of tiny 1A schools with several sec caliber players year in and year out. Not on here to bash, was just hoping to chat with carguy and ncsdad a little, good luck and hope y'all get this straightened out.

FC by 14. FC gets it done in the trenches!
It will take a better passing team than FC to beat NCS by 14 in my opinion. Looking forward to a great game. Love to hear some of the old FC guys chime in on the best team ever comment. FC's had some pretty good teams. I'd say the best one ever would walk through these playoffs, just as Nashville Christians 2015 squad would have. Again, just my opinion.

Correction
Greenbacks Roberts
36 TD'S
Are Greenbacks stats posted anywhere?
-
Here are some interesting numbers. Maybe someone from Greenback can fill us in on some of their players.
#12 McGraw
Regular Season 36 Carries 504 Yards 6 TD's
9 Catches 181 Yards 3 TD's
Scored Every 5 Touches
Playoffs 30 Carries 411 Yards 6 TD's
6 Catches 127 Yards 3 TD's
Scored Every 4 Touches
The best running back in 1A IMO has touched the ball 9 times a game in the playoffs and posted 9 scores against 3 of the top 5 teams in the state. Will Coach Brothers turn him loose on Friday?
#35 Bituli
Regular Season 8 Carries 108 Yards 2 Scores
Playoffs 4 Carries 92 Yards 3 Scores
2 Catches 13 Yards 1 Score
6 Touches in the playoffs with 4 scores. Potentially the most punishing back in 1A IMO. Will Coach Brothers turn him loose of Friday?
Tell me a little about the weapons at Greenback.

Name 1 player thats playing div. 1 ball!!!! You non west teams wanna say that because they dominated all the dang state ! I live here and NCS had more gifted players both years,Its the coach Ill say it again !!!! ROLL TIDE

Yall act like you've never played at WC! I don't think your schools directors would like our music very much! It ain't country
If I remember right we welcomed you last year with some Back in Black.
-
They'll be coming out of the hills and hollers from everywhere to help after this week, the semis at home is a big deal!
We'll be happy to put them to work!
-
Look, nobody from WC has said anything about recruiting or being private, he asked a honest question about how many of y'all's coaches are paid coaches. WC only had two and the pay is very little, most schools have several paid coaches. Our coaches not only coach but do all the physical upkeep of the entire facility, mowing leaning, painting and everything else including maintenance on the equipment.
I think I have a solution to lighten the load on your coaches. There's a fellow named Iron Mike that loves Wayne County football. He's been a fan darn near 3 months. I bet if you asked him nicely he would cut the field and do the rest of the stuff you need done, kinda like Forrest Gump. I'd make him sign a contract quickly though cause he might jump ship after Friday.
-
Wrong again Dorothy!
Coach Rickey Rice winning % is 61.1% and he has a 69.4% winning % in his 18 years as HC of WC.
This is his 19th season making the playoffs out of 25. He has 21 Playoff W's. Has reached the Qtrfinals 6 seasons.
Wnat really killed his % was coaching to coach at Perry County a year after they brought the football program back.. from '01-'05 he had a win% of 29%.
We MOST definitely have the advantage in the coaching department. And that's nothing against Brothers!
Well we'll see how it all plays out. Wayne County has the self proclaimed best group of backs in 1A, the top QB in 1A, a pre season all state wide receiver, the "advantage in the coaching department", and a starting defense that has given up about 4 TD's this year. They also run the veer, wait for it, "like Union City". It seems with that combination Wayne County should run through NCS like a knife through warm butter. I'm interested to see how that works out for Wildcats.
-
I'm all about serious questions. He really hasn't been consistently but there was one game earlier in the year we struggled a bit. See, that didn't hurt asking a serious question and getting a decent answer which is just my opinion. Of course opinions vary.
If you care to ask questions about the game or something of that nature, I'm sure they will be answered.
-
No I didn't. But I do know he was a sophomore. And I do know that Wayne county was depleted from injuries. And I do know NCS only won 21-0. And I do know that Wayne county drove into the redzone at will. Will you watch this years game? Good if you are. Enjoy the show because NCS season ends Friday Night.
Here are the WC drives from last game when they "drove into the redzone at will".
Drive 1 -5 yards fumble lost on 3rd and 12
Drive 2 -5 yards fumble lost on 3rd and 10
Drive 3 69 yards Turned over on downs after stopped on 4th and 10 (59 on bust cov play)
Drive 4 7 yards Punt on 4th and 3
Drive 5 25 yards Interception thrown on 3rd and 7
Drive 6 37 yards Interception thrown on 2nd and 14
Drive 7 53 yards Turned over on downs after stopped on 4th and 13 (personal Foul)
Drive 8 3 yards Turned over on downs after stopped on 4th and 7
Drive 9 -8 yards Turned over on downs after stopped on 4th and 18
WC had 4 drives start in NCS territory at the 40-37-26-40. Those drives netted -5, -5, 3, and -8 respectively. These were drives the "at will" must have failed.
Your facts are a bit off. They had 180 yards for the entire game and almost 60 came on one busted coverage play. Somebody get this guy a WC t shirt. Hes been on the bandwagon darn near 3 months now, hes earned it.
-
No worries. But don't get your panties tangled up when people from Wayne County actually think they have a chance?? I have seen film on NCS and seen Wayne county play and I have no clue how some of these people are predicting a running clock and a 4-5 score win by NCS. Here's how I see it.
Qb- Adv. Wayne Co.
Skill Position- Even
Offensive line- Adv. NCS
LBS- Adv. NCS
Secondary- Adv. Wayne
D-line- Even
Mark my words, Way e County wins because #5 touches it every time on Offense.
No doubt daddy will have #5 prepared for the game. Also no doubt he had him prepared for last years game. Did you watch that game?
-
You my friend, are an absolute moron. Hope NCS is as over confident as their fans. IF that's the case Wayne County will win by 3 tds.
NCS has more fans than the 2 everyone is going back and forth with. Don't be a "moron" and lump everyone together.
-
You're jumping a guy for posting stats? Those 1A STATS helped #35 be nominated for Mr. Football. I'm sure most of the voters haven't seen him play, only seen his stats and hear the talk. I'm sure those stats help in the college recruiting process as well.
I'll agree that these stats mean nothing as far as the game goes Friday night. I do not however mind seeing them. Good numbers no doubt.
-
Congratulations on your teams stats! Who were they against? We could post all that stuff too, but why? We all love 12, but it's not that big of a deal when he burns a 5.2 40 db down the sidelines for 65 yards. In all but maybe three games this year, our middle school team from two years ago would have competed and won more than they would have lost. Stats? Really?!?! In 1A Football???? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Be a fine Christian and post our stats? Why? Ever hear of Hudl? Go watch the games. That is where we have derived our opinion of WC football.
He posted the stats because that's what he enjoys doing. Every post isn't made to call you out. Chill a little and enjoy yourself. You sound bitter with nothing to be bitter about.

Question to the NCS folks; are they selling advanced tickets to friday nights game or no?
They are on sale in the school office until 3:00 on Friday.

again your are listing his size and hype, end of day awards should be on merrit. I'm not saying huntingdon is being snubbed, what I'm saying is there is probably 100 more lineman in 1A with almost double that output. My argument is the award has drifted to college potential that does not always pan out and some really exceptional high school players get looked over because they were just awesome highs choose players with awesome stats but have a high school frame not a D1 frame. It should be best player on Merritt of the year, not what they MIGHT do at the next level. The playing time has no meaning either, Huntingdon first team has played 4 qtrs in 3 games all year as well and still have 3 or 4 players with more tackles. I'm just question the system and methiology of the process not necessarily Bituli himself, again I've not seen him play.
I didn't list his size or hype. I asked that you listen to the people that have witnessed his play up close. If he isn't worthy of the award, his opponents will speak up. I laugh every time I read the stats in the paper and the same teams have six guys in the leaders in tackles. If you go by that Harpeth should have 3 guys up for awards. Win this week and you can judge for yourself,
-
One question if wc#2 stats were correct on Bituli, with only 50 tackles in 10 games, why was he even nominated? Thsee awards are supposed to be best HIGH SCHOOL players for 2015, not best potential players at next level based on their size. Just asking not demeaning this particular player I've not seen him play, but if the 50 is accurate that seems a bit questionable.
I guess you would have to ask the fans of the teams who have played against him, maybe Trousdale since that game is fresh. He's the real deal.
-
If I'm not mistaken JB was close with Ncs at the half also
If no one has anything for ncs, how did Tc hold them to zero to zero half? I know they put the big boys best money can buy in the back field the second half but sounds like they beatable
Stangfan you must be a fan of Jamborees. Wayne County likes Jamborees. I wonder if #2 has a record book with their Jamboree results, or yours. The two games in question finished with at a grand total of 92-21. You win games at the end of the 4th, moral victories are earned at the end of the 2nd.
As far as the game goes, I think Huntingdon rolls in this one. TC just doesn't sustain enough drives to be able to keep their defense off the field. They play hard and are fundamentally sound, I just think they will wear down. All that being said, good luck to TC and I hope you pull it off.

I'm gonna go with JB 20 Monterey 9. Monterey had no offense to speak of and a good scrappy defense that fought hard. Jo Byrns didn't have much on offense but had a good fighting defense. I am speaking only of the games I saw. That being said it will probably be 42-35, but I doubt it.

DCA played really well. They definitely deserved the win.
