  1. This region is really tough 1A region but I do not see anyone in the region beating Union City this year. I think on the statewide level in the west Union City, MASE are the team to beat out of the west. Moore County may be right there with those 2 not sure yet. Dresden, Lake County will be in the mix somewhere.

  2. I get what you are saying PUJO but Lake County has 205 students in the school and competes for the most part with the bigger schools. I think the jimmies and Joe's are the difference and coaching also makes a difference. Cloudland usually is able to compete in their area. Small rural schools just has to play with the cards that are dealt and move on. The only true way to have a True 1A is take the smallest 32 in enrollment and make them 1A and create 4 classes out of the rest but the TSSAA will never look to take care of the true 1A schools.

We had several lineman out in the first contest remember it was a 12-7 game going into  the 4th last game

we must not have turnovers in this game like the last one

Donkeys offense will be hard to defend you have to be disciplined or they will take to the house at any moment

Riverside must be successful running the ball to be able to setup play action

I predict this a close one 14-12 Riverside but who ever wins this game has  the upper hand in the championship game in nooga

The winner of this game will be the underdog in Chattanooga against Tyner. I believe it will the Huntingdon with the win over Riverside however.

They do deserve better, they have a good team and play really good defense. Last night, I said McKenzie will win if they can throw the ball downfield and set up Taylor to get in space. MASE secondary is also pretty good as well. If they clean up some stuff and get more yardage from other players besides Brown to keep the opposing D honest they will be fine. MASE might not come out with the W but they will play hard and give McKenzie all the want. I wouldn’t be surprised if either team wins.

I think it will be a great game. Imo McKenzie is just a little better. MASE can win this game and it wouldn't surprise me if they do but again I think the Rebels are little better.

MASE is gonna have to open up the passing game to win this one since MCKenzie will likely load the box to try to stop Brown. MASE does have other weapons and they will have to step up. Brown is on a mission tho, if they don’t load the box and he goes over 200 gonna be a long night for McKenzie. If MASE plays a clean game and can eliminate some of the self inflicted wounds they had against Peabody they should be fine.

Peabody is a good solid team this year but they were not as good as McKenzie. McKenzie is just a level ahead of everyone in 1a and probably 2A. Again, I really think MASE is a very good team but they will have to play durn near perfect to win this game. Brown is a beast but I am like you MASE is going to have to throw the ball and I have not seen that out of them in their last 2 games. McKenzie will not beat themselves with penalties. MASE is the best coached and disciplined team that I have seen come out of 1A Memphis since the 80's. I expect this will be a great game but I feel like McKenzie wins by 2tds. On a side note I hope the MASE kids have a home crowd to show up and support them because they haven't the last 2 games. Those kids deserve better.

I like it also as far as not having to look for many games. And like you, hope LC plays maybe a Trenton,Obion Central, maybe West Carrol now they are in other region.Could continue playing Fulton Co which isn't far instead of Trenton or West Carrol.

I know Lake County will open the season with Obion Central. Gibson County has already declined to play Lake County. Fulton County will play LC if the schedule works out for both schools. West Carroll is possible and so is Milan. That is what I have heard so far.

  7. MASE defense is legit. They as a team are big, fast and strong. MASE has more overall team speed than anyone I have seen at the 1A or 2A level in long while. Miller is as good as advertised. MASE offense without Miller in the game is very average. This game will be won in the offensive and defensive lines. I do think Peabody matches up better in the lines than Lake County did. IMO MASE defensive line will give Peabody fits however and that will be the difference in the game. Peabody must run the ball north and south because MASE is too fast defensively for Peabody to get to the edges. Peabody must have some success throwing the ball because they will have a hard time running the ball. I do think if the Tide can stop the run and force MASE to throw the ball then Peabody can win this game. They say offense sells tickets and defense wins championships. So with that said MASE wins a low scoring game 20 to 14. I wouldn't be surprised if Peabody were to win the game.

  8. MASE is a very good team. They play defense better than any 1A team that I have seen this year. They are big, physical and fast. IMO they could beat Peabody next week. Peabody however will match up with MASE on the offensive and defensive lines better than LC did. MASE has very good overall team speed and they get several people to the ball. Offensively they block at the point of attack very well. The running back is very fast and stronger than he looks. He can take it to the house on any touch he has. Again this my opinion but Peabody better bring their A+ game next week and I am not sure that will be enough. I look for the score to be fairly low scoring.

Same for you guys. Both have their hands full.I truthfully think the team your playing will win it all but never know.See Dresden is back with LC and Union City along with Gleason.Unless one or both like the region they are in and appeal.Wonder how West Carroll feels about the move.I just don't understand how the TSSAA feel like Dresden and Gleason will be in other region and West Carroll in ours and all a sudden flip and make it an 8 team region and 6 in the other instead of even teams of 7 teams each.

They put West Carroll in the region with the other 2 Carroll County teams McKenzie and Bruceton. All the Weakley County teams were put in region 7. It makes some sense if the TSSAA has ever made sense.

Ok my man enough of the talking tell L C

Come on down to Memphis I hope they at full strength!

Because I know this much MASE defense will be waiting for them!

I like the fact that people still don’t think MASE can play!

If anybody thinks MASE going to allow L C to stand in that pocket and throw deep balls think again!

The RB is a great player !

MASE front can play with speed, discipline  and physicality.

Wild Bill, I know MASE is legit. They have a very excellent well coached team. LC will have to play their most complete game of the year to be in it. LC is very capable and LC will be the best team MASE has played to date. MASE very well could represent the West in Chattanooga.

I get what you're saying and to a point I'd agree comparing scores is mostly irrelevant but more so I was just bringing up we had some success against your d but absolutely none against MASE. Just from viewing those teams through the lens of their games vs WC I'd definitely have to pick MASE

That's a very good pick. Like I said LC will have to play their best game of the year. LC can beat MASE. It will be very tough. MASE is very capable of representing the west in Chattanooga this year.

No I didn't. I watched most of the game though and talked to some in attendance. I think there's some things LC can do on them but MASE is bigger and  faster. Theyre athletic and their defense is absolutely smothering. We scored 22 on LC without our starting rb. Against MASE we didn't even get a 1st down until late 3rd qtr I believe. They're well coached too. Good luck to LC but I don't see it. Especially reading their RB has a leg injury.

Comparing scores is irrelevant. LC plays up and down to the competition. Which is a bad thing in my opinion. With that being said this game will be very tough. LC will have to play their best game of the year. MASE is legit. LC will be the best team MASE has played all year to this point. MASE has an absolute stud at running back. They have a very nasty defense and speed everywhere. If MASE has a weakness on defense it the secondary. LC can throw the football well. The key will be if LC can block the MASE defensive line. If they can and hit a few passes then LC will have a chance to win in the end. Like I said MASE is a fast football team but so was Middle College. Now I am not comparing Middle College to MASE that's apple's to oranges. Just for you cartman. MASE beat Middle College 36 to 0, LC beat Middle College 36 to 6 so pretty close in that regard but comparing scores is irrelevant.

Peabody ahead of MC is fair but from what I’ve seen Gordo, Clay County, LC nor Dresden are beating MC

I really don't think Moore County could beat McKenzie, MASE,Peabody, Dresden or Lake County. Watched Moore County on 3 different occasions and they are solid team but not better than the above mentioned schools from the West. Moore County hanging their hat on a 14 point loss to Fayetteville.
