Are the Powell and Karns Staffs complete? I have not heard. Does anyone know about the staff at Carter and will the Bearden staff stay intact?

Now that Central finally has a head coach how long do they take to complete a staff. I hope not as long as it took to find a coach. Who are some good candidates for this staff and is there anyone from the old staff that would be worth keeping? What about an DC. I would assume Rosser will be his own OC?

The name no one seems to want to give but everyone seems to believe is the new coach is Bryson Rosser. He is the OC I believe at Hackensack High School in New Jersey. Coached at Oak Ridge for a time. I do not know if he is the coach but this is the guy you all are talking about. This is a message board so I do not mind speculation.

I am sorry you find that hard to believe. It is what he said. As far as talking out of both sides of my mouth goes, maybe I should have been more clear, I do not think that firing the coach without a clear plan was a good idea. I said that this is not a good county to work in but this has taken 2 months. Knowing your knowledge of football around here I am surprised that the length of time that this has taken does not seem to long. The difficulty of hiring a new coach in this county should not be a surprise to anyone with his experience. Again I did not say it was all his fault but that is his role. We can certainly agree to disagree.

I can appreciate what you are saying HTV but this AD also said that it did not matter when the hire occurred as long as it was done before June. He said that the players would not miss much and if the coach could not make up what they missed in the months over the summer then he was not a good coach. Now he may be a great guy but that is just stupidity. I also realize that there are others involved in the process but don't tell me that this is not on him then blame a coach for wins and losses because I know at Central this past year that they could not hire coaches for the people that left for Powell because of lack of positions. This administration knew that and still did this. He is the AD so it is on him. I am just saying that if you look at the hires in Knox County recently you would see that this is not a desirable place to work right now. This is another example of an administration that has acted without thinking about what would happen. I don't know that I would say Central is fortunate but it could be worse I guess. He may be a great AD and man, I just think this has been botched badly and as the AD it falls on him.

What is the deal with Central. The AD there is starting to look like an idiot. This guy fired a coach that wanted to be there and now can't find a guy to replace him. Seems to me that this guy is incompetent. At this point I think it is becoming clear that firing the coach was a bad idea. That is what happens when you bow to parents that are not happy over their child's playing time.. I do not know at this point how he corrects this situation. It looks like the Fountain City community will have to suffer from a bad decision and the perception that no one wants to take that job.

You are correct. I believe that the fracturing in this community and this kind of judgement and talk is a major reason that the program is not doing well coupled with a decline in overall athletes. This occurred when Joel Helton was terminated. This staff was never given any kind of support from a large portion of the community and were constantly fighting that. I am not saying that this is the reason that they did not have more success but it certainly did not help. This kind of division can cause huge problems in the fieldhouse and locker room. if the players are hearing this kind of crap from their parents. I sincerely hope that the new staff gets better support from a larger portion of the community. As far as taking a shot ast a mans character on here, it blows my mind that people think they know others because they watch them from afar. Making personal judgement about people in that manner just show your own ignorance and faults.It displays your own character.

The Kid that moved to Bearden did that last school year. He was never told he would be moved to receiver. He was going to be the starter at Central until he left. The freshman you talk about was just that a freshman. How can you possibly say that he was better than the one that started. I figured that you were talking about the QB position. I believe that Joe Hassell is getting thrown under the bus with the QB situation and the amount of pass attempts. The running backs were hurt all year, It appeared that they had little choice. To suggest that a coach would try to break some passing record with a QB instead of win a game is just stupid. Unless you were there to see the practices and evaluate the kids, I do not think you can say the freshman was better. Did you see both kids play all year (all of the JV games). It appears to me that you are an angry parent just looking to take shots. I would like to see what you have to say next season when the same kid is the starting QB. Also yo indicated that there was more than 1 kid that should be starting. Who? This community has their head in the sand. The talent level at Central is nowhere near what it used to be. I hope that a new coach can take them back to the glory days but do not think it will happen. There are just not enough athletes walking the halls anymore. I wish Central all of the luck in the world and hope they do well. I will be cheering them on all year.

This is news. I had not heard this from any fans before. The Old coach and his staff did not play their best players? This does not sound right. Who would do that? Also what players are you talking about because I would like to see if they play next year?

He is going to. He is taking the Job at Karns. This is a mistake. Karns is getting a younger version of Meadows. A man that does not care about the school he is at and will bounce around. You have to ask your self why anyone would leave Powell to take Job at Karns.
