I would definately agree that Sonny is the best pitcher in the state. As far as all around player I would have to go with his teammate Egerton.

AH! Come on people. I disagree with what they said about the umpire and if they are laughing at the opposing team, but we have played them 2 times this season and sure they have been obnoxious at times, but its all in fun. Thats what a fan is suppose to do. Their players seem to rally behind it and thats good. Just my opinion

CONGRATS TO Smyrna, however in an earlier post someone said that Smyrna has not done that in 20 years. I may be wrong but I am almost positive Smyrna and Gallatin tied for the district regular season title in 1999. Lavergne beat Gallatin on a walk off HR on the final day of the season to make it a tie.

Actually rollinwave90, I dont have any kin folks on the club- but what I do have is my players on the team. I am one of those sorry coaches that you posted about in an earlier post.

i agree with you rollinwave90 on some accounts. We played terrible defense - 7 errors, 5 throwing but were still in the ball game. Smyrna is very tough. Someone said in an earlier post that they did not have a good bullpen, well #3 AND #12 did an excellent job getting the ball to Egerton at the end. I think their names are Pack and Gallagher. Rhoads has always pitched well against us, he just had a rough 1st inning with walks and a big 2 out hit. I thought Smyrnas C made two big throws as well to throw out baserunners. They are definately a force.

Game has now been cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow night at 6:00 @ Gallatin. The White House game vs Gallatin will have to be rescheduled.

Actually, Gallatin had a last inning comeback to win vs Coffee Co. Coffee Co. did have 6-1 lead and pretty much dominated the game until the last 3 outs.

As of now, the game will be played at Vol State at 6:00 pending Smyrna's approval. If not then maybe the game will be moved to Smyrna and the schedule will just be swapped. It looks as if there may be some more rain however.

Gallatin plays Knox. Halls , Jefferson Co. , and Seymour. The fourth game will be determined on results from the first 3.

JPII is a team that has some talent both young and old. Golden Tate was an absolute stud in the tournament- doubles, triples, HRs- he can do it all. I was very impressed with the freshman SS Shane Rowland and also the first pitcher they threw at us. I know it was the 4rth game of the tournament, but the Myers kid threw the ball pretty well. Alot of the runs he allowed were unearned. I think he is a sophomore. Rowland was on base all weekend wheteher it be walks or hits. He has a great eye at the plate and looks very good at SS as well. I also know he catches and does a good job there. I think they are a team that will only get better as the season goes.

I just kind of threw that out there that you might be a player. I have no problem with you speaking your mind, I just ask that you not criticize our players. They play hard. Anybody that wears a baseball uniform- I respect. Thats just my opinion. I dont care if it is our team or the opposing team, there is nothing better to me than seeing a smile on a players face after getting a hit or making a big defensive play. It is hard to do those things- that is what makes the game so great. If you are a player, I only wish you luck in the future rollinwave90. I hope you and your team do well this season.

Ah Redsman, I would like to give him a free pass to the rest of our games since it is so painful for him to watch. I wouldnt pay $5 to do something that was painful. I am in total agreement with you on giving him free tickets: however for some reason I get the feeling he may not need a free ticket, if you catch my drift. As a matter of fact, it would not surprise me if we see him play in the near future. Im sure he is just having some fun with you Redsman, since he is supposedly one of your good friends according to him.

Yes Frey had a great game. He is definately a good pitcher.. We had 5 throwing errors I think which did not help matters. The problem is we could have made 20 errors and still not scored. As far as you go there Rollinwave90, I dont think it was painful to watch. If you were there, I dont think you would have said that. We made some great defensive plays tonight, but did committ some errors. Our guys just got overmatched by a great pitcher. Frey will do that to plenty of people. I appreciate edman correcting your mistake of 13-14 strike outs too. Beech has a good ball club, but it was not over in 5 like you predicted. What is your deal anyway? Your first post ever said you were a good friend of Scott Hunt, our head coach. Since then, you have done nothing but talk bad about us and our players. I dont mind you talking bad about us, but dude leave our players alone.

Actually REDSMAN, ROLLINWAVE90 is right on some accounts. We have struggled some this year and looked bad at times vs. others. I dont think we are bad though. Sure we will be outmanned in some games and overpowered by certain pitchers, but we usually do ok. We send our share of players to the next level mainly because you do a great job of promoting them. We are just as usual a little short on Pitching. I mean you know last year we could have easily seen McCadams, Grey, and Cotham or Hill in the same week. We have not had a P of that caliber in a long time. But in saying that, we are known to pull off an upset or 2 a year. Who knows what can happen in this district? As far as Davis goes, he is a good young coach and a great addition to our staff. As far as you go though, I am behind you 110%. We have been ripped before and we will be ripped again. To me the way you expose your players and have them prepared for not only baseball games but everything else is what matters most. We may get run ruled today- it wont be the first time and not the last either, but I know our players will flat out give it everything they have.

Page has a good ballclub. I am with Gallatin and we played them both in the preseason and regular season. The Hughes kid is a very good player. He threw a no hitter vs. us in preseason.

I do not understand a couple of things about the tournament. First of all, I do not know why Hendersonville is the 3 and not the 2 seed. Both MJ and Hville finished with identical records and split with each other. If this is the case, then the 2 seed is determined by their records vs. the other teams from top to bottom. Both split with Beech, so then it should go to the number 4 which is Gallatin. Henderonville swept Gallatin and MJ split with Gallatin. By that, Hville should be 2. Second, why is the 1 seed plying the winner of 3 and 6, instead of 4 and 5. Basically, the one seed is getting a tougher opponent potentially in the second round if things go accordingly. ???????? I mean this district is tough enough, to win it you are going to have to beat good teams anyway. No easy game in this district.
