Once again the Times Free Press is lazy about gaining information at the Summit tournament this weekend . Mt. Juliet won 2 games Friday night beating Sequoyah 11-0 and Sale Creek 10-0 before letting the freshman team play Farragut on Saturday morning. I was very impressed with the Mt. Juliet (varsity) pitcher and hitters. I would have been surprised if any of the teams in this tournament could have beat their (varsity) team . It would have been nice to see a Baylor vs Mt. Juliet or Soddy Daisy vs Mt. Juliet game before the tournament got rained out.

Per the Times Free Press online article, Baylor is the only team with 2 wins in the tournament at the Summit. Whitwell also has 2 wins, they beat Central 6 to 0 and beat Jefferson County 6 to 1.
