Chattanooga Central is coming off a 14-10 victory over Franklin County. Polk County is a coming off a 21-6 loss to Bradley County. Polk County dominated this game last year behind the running of Carson Newman signee Zac Miller. This will be Polk's first home hand Central's first road test in this early season. Can the Pounders stingy defense stay the course of the ground and pound Wildcat Offense? Can Central's offense give their d some rest and put some points on the board this week?

Time for the talking is over! Friday night football is finally here. Really hope the Pounders come out tomorrow night and play a great game. Hope all of Harrison is there to support them. Franklin County will run the ball 98% of the time. This is gonna be a huge test for our defense. Coach Braswell will have the boys slobbering at the mouth waiting for them counters and reverses. Funk will hopefully be back. No doubt he is a spark plug. The O Line and offense as a whole has to take care of the football and put up some points early! This will give them all some confidence. i just hope we can take the momentum from the jamboree into this week. Cant wait for Friday to be here. -

If Franklin strictly runs the ball against our aggressive d, I really like our chances. They will have to throw the ball some to keep our secondary honest. Their QB is athletic and will tuck it and get up field. Our DE and OLB will have to watch for him and stay disciplined looking for the reverse they showed last night. Braswell will have them ready. The Offense will have to take care of the ball and put it in the end zone. Friday should be an electric time on the hill! Go Pounders! -

Franklins back field looked pretty athletic. After scrimmaging Soddy and kind of getting a feel for what they do, I will not put the curse on us and say we will win! I really like our chances to finally win a home game next Friday night! Really like the progression I have seen in the whole team this far. Have to keep the business like approach and stay hungry. Go Pounders. -

I believe when you go back and watch the tape you see that they blitzed several times. Offensive line allowed 1 negative play tonight. This group continues to surprise me. Backs ran hard, QB made some throws and receivers made some plays. Defense got after it! They looked ferocious. I know it don't mean anything, but we turned some heads tonight! Even the EH fans that sat by us were impressed. Just got to continue to get better. Proud of the guys tonight. -

Tis the pounders are a wildcard. It all depends on the offense. I believe the defense will be able to stop people and get the turnovers. We just got to put the points on the board. Take care of the football! -

It is a fact that Tariq quit yesterday due to getting cussed. Mallory apologized to him today. I was told that after church by a couple of players. There are other ways to motivate a player besides cussing them. Eventually you need to give the player a pat on the back. That goes a long way. They will play better for you. Respect you more. Who in the world would sell out for a coach that constantly cusses you out and belittles you? -

Great report. Hope all the injured kids heal quickly. We need everyone out there to help us be successful. Any news on Funk, Green or Forgey? -

Plus just heard we are without a place kicker? Don't know details, but heard he has left the team. Hope this is not true! Great kid. -

Not many people remember the horrific teams Turner coached at Kirkman. It takes talent to win also. He has done an excellent job with a lot of Tyner teams. No doubt he is a Chattanooga coaching legend. The man doesn't use a play book. Old school as old school can get. Nothing but praise for Coach T. -

Sorry Tis, was talking to fish. The Carson kid last year played hard every snap. Losing him on the I line hurts. My constant worry all preseason was with new line. They had Delo, Morgan, Forgey and Metcalf all playing defense. Guidry was the only one left that had experience and a freshman was starting over him! Anyone in their right mind would be questioning that. After last Friday,( I know SD may not be the toughest opponent) I came away optimistic. Their d line dwarfed our o line. Kids played with heart. Even had one of the lineman missing. Rather than beat a dead horse and state negative, trying to be hopeful. New year, new regime, new sense of hope. -

Tis, if you rad my earlier post, you would have read that I NEVER said we were gonna beat EH. I just said that we MAY open some eyes! That's it. We definitely don't need to start slanging mud everywhere! As for my remark about Tiller on the outside, yes I defend my comment! When he gets in football shape, he can be one of the most dominant receivers around. Kid is 6'4" maybe 6'5" with great hands and speed. -

Lines aren't close to being comparable. However, these kids continue to work hard. Maybe they can make a name for themselves. Only time and experience will tell. Very excited to see what our Pounders can do this Saturday night. -

East Gam has lost a lot of their horses. I agree, Gatewood is a tremendous coach. They will have a lot to prove with their showing against us. They will always have young talent. However, I really believe that the Pounders will show up to play. I'm not saying that we will beat them. I'm simply saying that this game could surprise some people. I agree with you Tis, the line is young and small. If they can halfway contain their defensive front, our skill players will hold their own!
