Game over. I just have to realize this team just isn’t very good. It all starts with our QB he has averaged 2 picks a game. Our OLine is bad, and play calling is worse.

Don't you always say this? New year same garbage.

Go Commandos! Great job winning the region again. Coach Beasley is doing a good job with these young men. Keep up the hard work.

  2. I have not seen WC this year, but mj always plays their best game of the year against wc. I think MJ' s defense masks a lot of the offenses problems. Special teams could decide it. WC should win based on straight numbers but MJ plays like a state champion during this week. I look forward to seeing this one play out. Mj's inability to throw will lose them this game. Lowest passing numbers since 1920.

  3. Have you been a part of the program before to know if the special teams are that good?  Or if the weight room program is that good?  What are your thoughts...

All I know is from former players that I see workout at Graves in the mornings and afternoons and they put up a lot of weight.  Their technique sucks but they can sling the weight.  I guess that is a good thing.  There will be a lot of bad backs in MJ in the future.  I will say that I have seen some good things on special teams at MJ the past 7 years since I moved here, but it isn't anything special any other team who puts the time in can do too.  I would think that it helps to have a Wilhoit as a kicking coach though.  I'm sure it brings some good talent to the school when it comes to powerful legs.  That kid now was at Goodpasture before coming to MJ.  Probably a wise decision to have left there though once Coach Martin left.

  4. When Roger was coaching there I will have to ask, did Hville EVER beat MJ when it was district 9AAA?

To be honest I was thinking about that the other day. He ran a good wing t and they always were strong defensively. I think he might have won most of them. He really was a heck of a coach. I've heard that he was looking for another head coaching job somewhere, but he feels stuck until the ship gets righted. He does a lot of fund raising for MJ now and pretty much single handedly raised all the extra donations for the field house. I know he got caught in a bad situation in Portland but all those blue devils were glad to see him go haha.

  5. Cracker Barrel is offering a 50% discount to everyone over the age of 55 tonight.

I wish, I still have three more weeks! I'm going to eat like a madman. I currently can't afford it.

Technically I bring the average household income of MJ up. Not quite enough for it to be in your mythological #2 in the state though I'm sorry.

I guess if you would stop living vicariously through high school kids maybe you could help bring it up as well.

  6. For all you Hendersonville fans discussing Lassiter with mixed emotions, just know that as a Ravenwood Raptor right now, I know exactly how you feel. Someone mentioned that their highlight at HHS was beating Lassiter twice in one year. The Ravenwood Freshman look good and will have the opertunity to do something similar in the next few years as they rise in the class ranks.

Things will get better. I'll be the first to admit I didn't think things would go well for you all this year but it looks like things are getting there. It just takes time. He did build a great program there and it will just takes time to get back.

  7. That's fine, they're both good coaches. If you're thinking about it this way though, when he was still coaching there making promises, he may had still been in between about whether or not he wanted to make the move to GHS. My point is, why tell the team "yeah, I think I'm going to leave you guys and go to Gallatin" Do you think they would had still played hard and tried to win? Probably would've turned on their coach. I think he said the right thing by making the players play hard, and try to win a title. He knew when he made the move, people weren't going to like it. But, it is what it is. He had lots of pride coaching Hville NO DOUBT. But, Robert Lassiter was a Green Wave at heart, and playing for the Wave led him to go on and play for Tennessee. A tough decision, and he would've had people in Gallatin calling him a traitor for not taking the job, and ultimately people of Hville still hate the guy. He was a wonderful coach for me, and he taught me lots of life lessons other than football. Made men out of us. Also, beat Hville while I played 😎

Yeah but I bet it wasn't twice in the same season😉

  8. Y'all can Hate on Robert all you want in Hville, he took over a TERRIBLE Hville program, and made them a tough contender. And paved the way of a good program for Hatfield to take over, and Bruce took it from there. Side note: are you aware that when Lassiter was Hville head coach, he painted that entire stadium BY HIMSELF? He also did all the grass, stadium, practice field, weight room and practice facilty upkeep at Gallatin as head coach. One of the hardest workers I've ever seen. Can't blame him for going back to Gallatin when he was given the chance to be HC at his old alma-mater. But just know, he put lots of hard work and pride into the Hville program, and Coach Hatfield would agree.

I have no doubt. I saw it first hand and also heard him talk about how he would never leave Hendersonville. I know it would be hard to leave any program but to lie about it to your players especially when you are driving around a brand new Green dodge truck that was given to him and he still said he wasnt going anywhere. I guess that is when I started having trust issues. I will have to say beating him twice in the same year was a highlight of my time at Hendersonville.

I respect Gallatin as a program, don't get me wrong. I still can't watch Green bay without feeling that slight turn of my stomach though.

You are right did pave the way for coach Hatfield to take us to the next level as a program. I still am glad he was my coach over coach Lassiter. The last couple years.

  9. I got here to read about the details of the game and got this... Y'all should exchange numbers and have it.

Side note, are there any positives from the MJ program?

Obviously sarcasm doesn't read well. MJ had great facilities. That is all.

He would like to have at it with me I'm sure

  10. Ok did you ever step on the field as a commanblow? Or are you just a retired contruction worker? The things I say hold weight because I actually stepped on the field, and contributed to many of our wins. When we were good. As far I know, you're just one of the best armchair quarterbacks HHS has ever seen.

I just played in the band. Lol

  11. Btw I figured your win average over the past 15 years with the 2 good years put back in and it's a .561 so 5.5-4.5 w-l a year over 15 years. Sorry I shouldn't have tried to change things. Lol what a joke!

If you don't understand what that means it's 5-5 or 6-4 every year average

  12. Congrats, how have you done since then? Even though Hendersonville hasn't ever won it would you like to compare championship appearances or wins for beech and Gallatin? Face it MJ is a never was when it comes to football, but keep on being happy with beating Lebanon and Wilson central every year. I'm pretty sure that will come to an end with central this year so I hope you enjoy it while you can.

  13. Are you kidding me, do your history research from 2007-2013. You're mental.

So in the four years MJ had two future pro football players on the team how many games did they win with them on the team?

Over the past 15 years someone wrote that MJ was 96-75. If you take away the two good years we will say 12 games a year won and two losses (because I don't remember their records those two years) that makes them 72-71 which averages out to .503 win or 5-5.

  14. If Mt Juilet was in the 5A Region with Hillsboro, Beech, Cane Ridge and Hendersonville they would be a bottom tier team. Be happy you play In league that you're in and will actually win some games and play in the playoffs man.

MJ was in the same region with two of those teams and was a bottom feeder then too. Couldn't keep up with gimmick offenses and no identity.
