Jake, I had heard the LB coach. And I agree, just don't see a coordinator leaving, especially if he's the baseball coach too. Position coach to head coach is a big jump. Someone with experience would definitely be a plus.

We might be able to get a position coach from Maryville. I just don't see anybody hiring away a coordinator from there. It's just too good of a job. Unless ooltewah calls I do think Meadows would be a good hire, especially if he keeps the bear's current staff.

If Meadows can convince the committee that he's serious about a long commitment then he has a real shot at it. I know the x's and o's will be there as we'll as the ability to motivate players. After p forge took our dc, I'd enjoy taking their head coach lol

Coach Brewer has been a CEO type coach past few years, but he also had 2 very good coordinators that had been there a LONG time, ratledge was there before Brewer. He also had several good assistants that played for Brewer when they were in high school. That was the right thing for Brewer to do

U hit the nail in the head. Our superintendent does not support smoky bear athletics. He is gp all the way and tries to hold sevierville back. I've heard Maryville's linebacker coach is getting serious consideration. Because schs has so many good assistants, im afraid some will leave if we stay in house and the coaches passed over will look elsewhere.
