  1. Did they get a big payday from this? What were they trying to accomplish? This is not a bash; I really want to know.
  2. The word I got was that Clarksville was clearly outclassed. Couldn't get a 1st down, so maintaining a successful drive was out of the question. The score was 52-0 and I stopped talking to him at that point. Clarksville only dressed 37 players where Muscle Shoals had a 100. maybe it's just me but I don't see any benefit in taking a pounding like that. Spring should be about seeing what works and who can do what. It was hard for them to tell who could do what when they're blowing up your backfield. I think that was a bad decision on the HC's part to make that fruitless trip.
  3. Yes surprised me also, according to my guy out of Waverly, the QB has improved dramtically. Apparently he's working with some guy out of Nashville. Pretty good 7v7 team. Runnning game solid but no Ty Chandler(MBA). I looked at their schedule last year other HC and the NE lost because of their Homecoming really being a distraction, they played evryone well. Working on floats every night and having a parade the day of the game really doesnt help much in the area of game prep. Maybe new coach with new discipline could change things. You never know. Found out West Creek are still the same. I just left Portland, Clarksville demolished them. The Burney kid must have at least 6-7 solo sacks.
  4. Yes. Apparently the kids came to school under the influence. Made some inappriate gestures to a faculty member. Both are in alternative school. The Cross kid will definitely see time at QB. Arrington pretty much uses a QB like a wildcat at all times. Doesnt ask much in the area of thinking or making big throws. So he'll definitely thrive in that Offense.
  5. I don't know where youre getting your info but CA's QB is the Robinson kid. Hands down he's the starter. He's very polished for a rising soph
  6. The 5A State Championship will continue to go through Henry County. Brentwood and Clarksville Northeast can beat anybody in 5A. The district will be very tough.
  7. Clarksville squares off against Portland this week. Clarksvile doesnt have very much size according to someone on the inside. Should be quick though. Rossview didnt look like much in their spring game. The linemen were huge but weren't very athletic. The RB Isaiah Phillips was the only bright spot apparently. He's not their typical bruiser more of a scat back. DC was better than expected against Beech. The QB was very sharp. Runnung game was solid. Transfer in from MS to go along with the rising soph stud. The WR that transferred from NE is now playing primarily playng DB, was very impressive. Great athlete had a nice pick amd return. Clearly the best athlete on the field. However , the line is suspect. HC of course never plays well in the spring or scrimmages. They pretty much hold back I believe. NE pretty much has everybody coming back. If theyre disciplined then they should be considered a force.Pretty much the same deal for Brentwood, they didnt lose much. I havent heard anything about Centennial. The middle part of the district looks up for grabs the last two playoff spots especially..
  8. BJ Worthington is who made the decision. Why bash Burchwell and Devilia for doing their jobs? Should the son of a man who's the AD of the county not have the privilege of playing high school football? Your all about the kids as long as they attend the school of your choice. Should CMCSS reverse their decision because there's a law suit? Obviously there's evidence, or they wouldn't have made the decision to start with. I highly doubt this situation was developed because the county AD's son attends another school. There have been other "situations" with other players transferring to CHS that could've been questioned by their former team, or CMCSS. This situation was created from CHS's feeder school, not the AD's son's school. Get real Pilgrim.
  9. First of all, you keep painting a pretty picture for everyone. You're doing a great job with that, along with bashing everybody that's not in agreement with your narrow point of view, or not a part of this "program". There is evidence which is why he is suspended and can't be on the sidelines.
  10. I truly hate it for every kid on the CHS team and what they've worked to accomplish. But to say these coaches didn't know, is absurd. Everybody who knows anything about football in Montgomery County knows. How much integrity does the #1 assistant coach, whose also a teacher at the high school, have when he texts kids at other high schools and asks them to come to CHS. That's not integrity, that's illegal. That's just the tip of the iceberg. This latest event has surfaced because they were caught. Don't be fooled.
  11. I just don't see anyone matching Clarksville High on the line until they come across the teams with depth like Centennial and HC. I don't know much about Brentwood other than they're huge. Rossview has surprised me so far, so maybe they'll surprise me again. It seems like different teams are coming out every week.
  12. CHS should win this one just on experience and line play.
  13. I think HC is the only blowout. Apparently NE has gotten better or KW is that bad. Centennial should handle them easily but who knows. I think the other two games are toss ups. Neither of them have done anything special yet neither have been blown out either. So we shall see.
  14. I don't think HC is down but just not as good as they've been in the past. Also the Centennial and Clarksville high are pretty solid all the way around. HC seems to struggle against the pass. Like I said, they could make me eat crow. I watched them against NE and saw film against Liberty. I just don't see them beating Centennial and Clarksville High. Brentwood and Rossview will be a challenge as well. They won't skate through and make the layoffs like past years. Just my 2 cents
