Im Meigs all the way but love this type of quote! Everyone should read this.. it should be posted in every school, principals office and board of education. It should be posted in every court house/ mayors office. These kids and coaches give up family time to play the game they love and for you. Don’t they deserve a full house and cheering fans? Don’t they deserve you to be there when they play EVERY game. Because they play for the name of their school/ community or hometown and NOT for the name on the back of their jersey.
Well said no matter who you're pulling for.

3 more days til kickoff I can't wait.
I took off work for this one and it can't get here soon enough.

Heard we didn't look too good at Smith Co 7 on 7 last week. If anybody was there, can you give me your take on it?

But still could be just a rumor, I don’t know if any of the staff are actively looking for a new job. Why did they have so many people helping at games that were in the picture or on the staff page too?
Have "volunteer" coaches

Well I’ve heard a current coach may be leaving, defensive guy from last year
Bet we're on the same page then.

Which member?
Not gonna say yet. Just wondering if anybody else had heard that or if it's just the TC rumor mill going again.

So how do you guys see the staff playing out?
I know there are a lot of people that were on staff last year like Dyer, Corthron, Pierson do they stay? I want to say I saw more on the sidelines that helped out do they get moved up to a spot?
I'm hearing rumors that a staff member may be headed to Westmoreland. Anybody else heard anything?

The team meeting was at 2 with official media announcement following so if I had to guess 2:30-3:00, a link will be available.
It's back up on the TC Athletics website now

Again these are all the things I have heard and most of them came from TC threaders on Coach T.
Are you sure all the TC posters that have commented on Clint's involvement are involved with the program themselves?
As someone said earlier, rumors, whether true or false, generate interest.

The next coach who come in will do fine he has talent to work with just gotta get kids in the weight room.
I agree that the talent is there. Got a lot of playmakers. Got to rebuild that line.
Looking forward to seeing #6 be a bigger part of the offense this year.

Derek Rang is coming to the Creek Bank boys.
What makes you think so?

Are you joking? That Dr coach Clint is thinking about hiring the SOS (snake oil salesman).? He needs to call Grider and ask him about the SOS. Them kinfolk is still tithing trying to pay off the SOS. You think im joking but im not.
I was agreeing that they probably wouldn't stay around long. Don't believe Satt will go that route though. I think he's looking for home boys to take the helm. Jacket pride runs DEEP around here. Maybe he will ask Miss Baxie for her input.

I understand TC fans like knowing who the choices are, but again putting people’s livelihoods on the line so the fans stay informed is ridiculous IMO.
I agree that some careers could easily be jeopardized. Not fair to those who thought this was private information. Really hope none of these candidates suffer any repercussions

Depends on how he got the information.
Also, can't blame the school in the future to say "No Comment" every time he asks a question.
Limited access to that list.
And true that the school/media relationship could be very damaged.
Oh well, drama in TC!

That I don't have a clue someone had to give the paper the list. Coach Satt could have given the list to the paper but it's not a big deal to me I like that the fans know the list.
Can't blame the journalist for printing it. I'm sure TC fans like seeing the possible choices and will begin their speculation. I, as a TC fan, just want the best hire for the boys and the program. Tradition runs deep. Want it to continue.

I'm not sure coach satt gave permission for the list to be published by the newspaper. The newspaper in Hartsville has pulled stuff like this before with releasing information.
How did the paper get the list?

My top 3 are
Blake Dyer and Hackett
now I know rang and Ross are both good coaches but they move around a lot and we just had our dose of what happens when you hire like that! Nothing wrong with wanting to better yourself but I don’t think the administration wants to go that route again!
And I have no inside source or any knowledge just a guess
I agree with you about Rang and Ross, but also think you gotta put John Carey in the mix. Former Championship player with close ties to TC and the program.

Now that it’s out, yes I know the list and have known for a few days, didn’t know they would put it in the paper
Earlier you posted that you felt there was a clear frontrunner. Care to voice that opinion now that the list is public? Just wondering what everybody's thoughts are.

Got other options. Thanks for the advice tho king of the north
Hope you talk to whoever the new coach is before you make a decision on the future. You have an awesome kid and would hate to see him wearing anything other than our purple and gold.
But I understand you gotta do what's best for him.

I have a big decision to make after the hiring of this coach hope it's the right hire. If not gotta do what's best for my kid.
He's gonna have a great year next fall no matter what position he's playing. Sure would hate to see him leave. So much talent still on that team. 2019 will be his year to shine!! I see him being the main go to guy.
He's a great kid with a promising future.

To the Meigs Co. players and fans, you have something special going on down there as we do in Trousdale.
Class act bunch of kids and fans. You have this Jacket fan’s utmost respect. In my opinion, you’re welcome to come back to the Creekbank anytime
Great game between two very good teams. Both teams should hold their head high.
TC at H2O…..AGAIN!
in Class 1A & Class 2A
