  1. Heard that as of 2pm there was a total of 18 applicants, 2 of them are local guys.
  2. The only kid I can think of is Krojhn Calbert. He's been out all year with a injury
  3. Pioneers gaining some confidence. They let one get away the week before, defense stepped when needed last week now this week need to play a complete game and put a stamp on it. Let's hear your predictions
  4. If the Pioneers can fix their pass defense they will be fine. Im picking WC 31-28 They will also have to cut the personal foul penalties out. Don't need to give good teams any help
  5. Not gonna give too bad a time, our boys got a little too confident at the end and about let y'all steal one. I am proud of the way they fought back when they was down and Coach Smith will get that sloppiness out of them. The best thing is I don't think we'll have to face another QB as good as Jennings
  6. What you say DCTigerfan. Where you at dog
  7. Hold on a minute sir, I watched practice today and I didn't see a single kid complain about those two young men. Maybe they didn't have a ride or had to work or whatever, maybe they talked to the coach and worked it out, I don't know but if the coaches and the players are ok with the situation that's all that matters. The Pioneers don't need your negativity, so either support them or comment on another subject
  8. A big part is disciine and coaching, just look at your Tigers. There were a lot of 1-9 and 3-7 seasons until Trapp took over and it was his 4th year before you really started seeing a turn around. You have to get the kids to buy into the system and keep a coaching staff together for more than 3-4 years before you will see real success. In the past 24 years there have been 8 head football coaches at Warren County, you can't have success without consistency
  9. Coach Smith has gotten some of that talent out there. There are a few new faces that I've seen at school that are now putting helmets on. When you haven't had a winning season since 1990 things aren't going to turn around overnight, this year I'm looking to get to not being every other team's homecoming opponent and getting back to respectability.
  10. I think the Pioneers will surprise some people this year, they are more disciplined than in years past and all the kids seem to be buying into what Coach Smith is doing. Depth will be the key especially on the line, with some of the big boys going both ways and running a fast paced offense they are going to have to get a breather at some point. Hopefully one of the three QBs will rise up and take over once the pads go on, with 3 scrimmages they will surely have a chance to show if they can handle it. I look for Lewis and Ladet to have big senior seasons in this offense. Time will tell, but they have a lot of chances to get better before opening day.
