Every time I pick you guys to lose you win, I'm taking York by a couple of scores. Hope I just put the mojo on um. GoINJUNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I'm thinking the same, but said 20-14 so I'll stick with that but same here when I call OHS to win like GB this year or in 2021 against RW it backfires and when think they'll lose like against Monterey they win handedly . Final score OHS 41 - 6  lol. Later guys back to work!!!

  2. Will not be attending(work and etc) .

I do not want to say it but I think I'll take York by a score [20]-[14]. I know York's only BIG opponent has been Bledsoe https://www.diamondclearmedia.com/bledsoe/?B=414586 week 1 but I think with the Indians trouble scoring lately against GB & OS who I expected them to beat by a couple more scores and who has been spanked by RW, Kingston, Gordonville 42, 38, 41 points = 40+ average + giving up the most points but only by 1 at 10(scored 9, 6, 7 first three games) has them trending down for me imho in this one.

Score comparing doesn't always count for a lot when going head to head against different teams some times you'll be surprised but I think the off and on rush and passing game isn't good, you need to do 1 of 2 well enough to move the ball and at least in a defensive game flip the field and be able to get those needed points in close games against solid teams and I think York is a solid/decent team at least defensively and enough offensively to put pressure on a team to score more than once or twice.

Good luck OHS, and to both teams in a injury free game! :)

What defense does Bledsoe run? Offense? Who’s  the key players?

Haven't seen them, but I think you meant that to Bledsoebtheboys.

That's what I was asking as well. I haven't seen any video on them. Moore county has a 48 minute highlight video out there of their game with Bledsoe though I've been told. I just couldn't find it.

Bledsoe vs York is still on Diamond Clear if you want to check them out. https://diamondclearmedia.com/?B=414586

I zipped through the game, but from what I saw offensively they have quick sizable QB, RBs and at most positions/players. They gave some points up to York 1st Qtr and a few plays but that was week 1. Depends on the improvement from the first game, and how decent York is. I always tend to go with Meigs, do not think I'd be surprised if it stays close at first but may not.

I thought the family member wanted to go to the Scott and Coalfield game? It’s at Scott high.

We did until it started raining and thundering, lol. I just heard it thunder as I am posting. Electricity went off here (Pioneer) this morning about 2-3am. May end up a rainy game, how is it in Oneida/Huntsville?

What time you gonna get there? I’ll be goin to Scott as well sadly. Holler when you get there.

Also Oneida is @ Greenback. I am sure them guys could find you a parking spot over at GB

oh cr@p I thought it was at Oneida. lol That would have been a drive for nothing. May end up watching the stream now, I take care of a family member and it is hard to plan game attending.

    You going tonight?

I'm going to check out Scott and the new team/Coach and system. They badly need the support more tonight + elderly family member wants to go see them.

Truthfully I think the OHS will be decided by halftime or 3rd quarter. Hate to wanna leave early, OHS's stadium and parking lot gets packed lol.

    And no disrespect to GB!

Best roster we've had since 2017. Also Coach Harris has brought some new energy to our program. We are going to be physical once again, and I love it. Coalfield has the advantage of already playing. May take a little time to get us going, but this has the makings of a old school slobber knocker.

    I'm going Scott-12, Coalfield-6.

    Thoughts? :popcorneater:

Just watched CF vs Wartburg on demand. If Scott has a decent size line, run game and D they should win. CF from what I saw looked fairly undersized and kind of unexperienced except for maybe the QB and a few other players I'm guessing, WR #42(smaller but quick) was there go to guy, but Wartburg had some big coverage assignment problems. Wartburg's score was a long 50/50 pass TD in the 1st, an 18 yard run straight up the middle, got in the backfield some, contained the run game for the most part.

Think Hannibal was there last year. Maybe #1. Electric smaller frame rb.

Yep that's who I'm thinking of Jaiden Hannibal . He wasn't there last year, I went to Max Prep to check the rosters. #7 is a Hannibal as well.

From what I saw just watching the OS game a lot of penalties, #1 Waldo didn't get very many touches, one good run from the RB position but didn't run down hill the way I saw him in the past, mostly played wing and WR.

Most of the touches went to #2, #3, #7 and a long run by #14. There quick, just didn't see an O-line I think can beat a physical up front team. The D gave up yards, then played decent at times, bent but didn't break enough against what I thought looked like a quick at a few positions but slightly undersized up front 5.

If Sweetwater brings the D and a physical O-line & run game I can see them winning by a couple scores. imho

From what I’ve seen #1 doesn’t look like he did last year when we played them. He appears scared to run. Does anyone know if he is injured or what?

Scrimmaged Rockwod and played Sweetwater. Rockwood and Sweetwater both had some great players as rb. But at times Sweetwater really played some good defense.

Yeah I know RW had the senior RB Waldo, I don't remember his number being #1, looks liked he changed it because there was a smaller fast back there the past couple of years before that had that number but he may have graduated. Waldo was #15 his sophomore and junior year, I'm fairly sure, I just looked at the video vs Oneida. Plus his Sophomore year(2020) he #15 because they were on Rivalry Thursday.

That is were some confusion is coming in on my part on who did/didn't play vs OS last week.

From what I seen on video they have #2 but he seems to take a lot of plays off.  #1 was absent it seemed and #7 is out of shape as a running back.

    Sweetwater by 17

I"ll take Sweetwater too. I thought #1 for RW played at the start at least may be wrong though and definitely agree #7 needs to be on the o line or at TE, kid is heavy he was not that heavy last year though not small.

Huge improvement from last year Crow, I didn't really see that they were so much better than you last season, you just cobbled it up and give the game away from the start. Glad to see you off to a good start.

York beat themselves up alot but they’ve passed more tonight than I’ve seen in a long time. Had a few good runs, one for 56 yard touchdown I believe but I’m liking the passing, just gotta get some receivers to catch and hold on.

I may go back tm if it is still on there and rewatch i was flipping back n forth between NFHS, diamond and etc. Saw some when it 14-7 D looked scrappy I thought from the few plays I saw 1st quater.

Same score with OS vs RW in the 1st and it looked to have a sloppy start it seemed for both, then saw RW pulled away on CT scoreboard.

Offensively they are spread 5 wide throw it 95% of the time. They have a stud at QB and the offense goes as he goes. They lost their top receiver from last year but still have receivers that can play and make big plays this year. The running back is a hard nosed back when he gets to tote the rock but also catches the ball very well out of the backfield.

I'm looking for them to throw some screen passes again if Oneida gets pressure. Have to contain the QB first and keep them off the field. It will have to be a both sides of the ball game, do not want to get into a scoring game. Oneida can when if they run well and run the clock imo! Go Indians!

Realize, too, that the winner at the end of the season is the one with the MOST correct picks, not necessarily the highest percentage right. So, skipping a game and not picking it just keeps you from having a chance at one more win.

    https://www.coacht.com/tennessee/bigones/standings.cfm

    I won with 190 Picks, I think don't think I missed a game, 151 correct, 39 incorrect, 79.47%.

I noticed some skipping games getting a better % and placement.

I'm going to try my best, it's tough! We have some great pickers here!

Seeing the post below, are you sure you're on the right side of this issue Crow??? :roflolk:

Like Crow I'm not an OHS alum but a BIG fan and supporter. Many comments on social media posts from alum were about being very upset about OSSD/this when it came out to the public. A couple of alum were very upset one even called it "shameful", many just did not get their requests as Crow pointed out basically. Like gcapride seeing what happened and feeling it was an audacity.

No matter what I think it reflected badly, but I do not want a bad reflection on the kids, the athletes deserve respect for their hard work. I think IHSN was trying to be respectful but felt disrespected in their efforts after really bad negotiation requests that seemed to want to just end the streaming or at least were so off set that it was not well thought out imho. IHSN just wanted to bring student athletes' efforts to light while helping the school and obviously the network to better improve the streams/content.

Anyway, lol I'm just looking forward to the season, My Big Ones picks are in, I have my channels ready to stream and team color ready to wear!

    Go Indians!

Oh I’m well informed on the details and the who wanted what. Like the fact OSSD was “concerned” the loss of gate and concessions would have a negative impact on the athletes. As if that’s was a true concern is laughable as is evident by the initial insistence of paying OSSD to broadcast away games. OSSD doesn’t get a cut of away concessions and gate so how is one related to the other.  I’m very glad it’s worked out but it was a bad look for the school administration IMO.

I know GCA has to have a "sponsor" to pay Diamond Clear to broadcast our football games. I don't believe any of that money ever went to the school or that we ever charged that company a fee to broadcast the games, home or away. I know that the school never charged the radio station to broadcast games. The audacity of the OSSD to think that a radio or stream would keep people away from the games is absurd. I've never heard anybody say "Should we go to the game or watch it on the iPad?" Unless its pouring down the rain, there's no decision to make for 95% of the fans. They're going to the game. What they should've agreed to is to have ads they can run for different activities for the school and actually get some benefit out of the broadcast instead of charging them pennies (which is really what $100/game is)! I stand with you on this one, bud!

They wanted $200 for a home game not $100 which is like 40 people not going if it is still $5 at the gate. I'm sure they make a good amount for home games' tickets, season passes and concessions. When I watched the streams last year there were not that many viewing maybe 30 or so. I think the coaches 72 hour stream take down was not a deal breaker but the other stuff was weird.

Also in statement on IHSN's FB which is gone now and I missed that screen grab(!) IHSN counter offered to have a dedicated local store that would sell their merchandise and season passes with the $$ going directly back to the school. Plus OSSD wanted the contract to have a clause that they could terminate the agreement/streaming at any time, lol.

Oh well I'm glad they got it worked out. If OSSD doesn't renew after 2022-2023 fine, take it to NFHS and charge for it or just not stream but do not kill the radio broadcast that has been going for decades over a stream.

Anyway I wish the best for the 2022 team, I think they have a very good shot of winning the district.  I know OHS returns some key players but lost the big RB and a couple on the OL. Game #1 with Williamsburg will be a test with their return QB, WR, LB and etc and week 1 is always tough especially playing on the road against a tough opponent.

  17. 57 minutes ago, crow said:

OSSD wanted money, the HC was the one wanting the videos taken down after 72 hours. At least that’s the way I heard it.

Their were several statements(I screen grabbed) by both about many counter offers. It was the coaches that wanted it taking down due to teams scouting and because the vids were nulling the sharing with other teams aka "gentlemen's rule" with them though scouting is going to happen regardless lol Rockwood Football Alumni site will have the 2022 game video on their site before the Monterey and Coalfield game for example plus I'm sure teams send people to watch OHS.

OSSD wanted a written service agreement, $$ for all sports not just football+basketball and away games which IHSN felt was unreasonable because they do not control streams that are away, IHSN wanted a verbal only agreement, $100 for home football games not $200, $40 for basketball, OSSD wanted $200 for football and $100 for all other sports.

In the OSSD statement before this new agreement, whatever the details are idk, talks seemed to have stopped and OSSD stated they were looking at other streaming sources.
