Year after year when mcnairy was spanking that rear end for you guys, there was always at least a small fear in every bobcat team because they didn't wanna be the one to let that streak end. Say what you want because y'all have earned the right, but I will guarantee you that there is a fear there every year because you never wanna go back to those days. You don't wanna be that team that let's the tide turn back. It's gonna happen. Keep talking.

38-28 would be a big step forward from last week. Would even worry a few cards fans.

I agree. Last year just being in the game late almost felt as good as a win. Improvement every week right now is a win for me.

Yes I heard the same thing from a Riverside fan. Strong up front but secondary was weaker than usual. I do not know if we have a vertical game. We have yet to see that if we do. I do think we have the speed to get to the outside.

I'm thinking upset! Pretty sure I'm in the minority. After all it is a game. It could happen. Then maybe the talent comments and the big mouth coach comments start going away. We was in this game last year all the way til the fourth quarter. Let's shock the district Friday!

I was at the public meeting when our newly hired coach made his comments. I really disapproved of many of those statements that he made at that meeting. It was way more of a pep rally type atmosphere than an introduction. I knew that there was gonna be repercussions and a very impatient fan base when he didn't make good on his promises. Really not the way to get a head coaching career started. However, if he gets a handle on matters over the next couple of weeks, our game will be different than most think. The talent is there to get it done if the old rah rah coach can get a game plan together to utilize what he has. We can match up and give teams problems. For his statements he made I can't support because he should have never made. But for your sake we haven't played our game yet so be careful. He had gave y'all plenty of bulletin board material without a doubt, but if he does win that game those tshirts being sold will sure be hard for you guys to have to look at. And your season will rapidly turn for the worst. And for the record, I'm not making a stupid prediction especially after the last few years. I just see you posting a lot before the game. Almost as big of a mistake as he made at his introduction meeting. I wish you guys nothing but success except one game.

And who said that new coach wouldn't get caught up in Mcnairy Central politics?? And I've heard it was a very unpopular decision with most of his assistants and players. Maybe ol Dampeer must have known a little something.

My opinion on the game and I know everyone has them: A change that was made at inside backer at the half changed the complexion of our whole defense. Gave up three scores in the first half versus a goose egg in the second. Problem with this is it should have been that way from the start. Now offensively this could have possibly been the worst I've seen in a long time. Changes have to be made up front and QB position is really puzzling. Bad thing is we go to Lexington next week. And then you know who. Would sure hate to be in coaches shoes right now

Kossuth was beat up pretty good last week by their cross county rival Corinth. Does anyone have any input on how we match up with them? And has Coach Hodge made any adjustments or changes the last two weeks since the Scott's Hill embarrassment at the jamboree that's gonna get this new season of to a great start? It would be nice to see him get his first win here as a bobcat the very first game. Can they get it done in kossuth because it has been a tough place to play in the past. What's your opinion? Isn't this a Mcnairy thread?? I don't come to your threads and leave comments because I don't have knowledge of your program. Just as you have no prior knowledge of ours. So in other words.......

If he checks coacht, which I could care less because given the chance I would address issues personally, then obviously he doesn't value his first HC gig. It's difficult to remain patient when all signs point to the norm around here. Don't get me wrong, I want this guy to succeed. However, I hope he is aware of the short lifespans as coach here over the last decade.

Maybe he's never done this before, but several was speaking about it tonight at the junior high games. I haven't seen this personally yet, but pretty sure it is happening. And if he isn't up to speed yet then maybe he isn't the coach u think that he is anyway. Good coaches have an eye for such things. And I'm not sure what goes on in practice, but I have seen with my own eyes the first scrimmage game and the jamboree. There wasn't a question with me or anyone else that I've talked to. Isn't game situations what matter the most. Actually, one QB kind of had a lot of folks excited. So perhaps the political roller coaster keeps rolling on. And if that's the case I know for a fact that there will be a dissapointed fan base that will gladly be ready to pack him up and send him back quicker than he arrived. Everybody wants a change here and this doesn't sound like much change.

The bus has swerved. Starters named today. Just heard from a couple players here at the junior high roundup and Cardsfan you are so right about nothing ever changing up on the hill.

I am with you. This team, the student body, and the community all thirst and desire for success to return to our program. I am fearful that there is quiet a bit of impatience that goes along with this. If our new coach steers or even swerves the bus in the direction of the route that we have chosen the past few years, the confidence in him and his staff will depreciate even faster than they gained it. He has a great push going even after Friday nights embarrassment. I only heard words of defense for him. Somebody please tell this guy that everyone has jumped on board for him. Don't crash and burn like the others before him. In my eyes the sky is the limit with loads of young talent and an overwhelming support. Don't wreck us before we even get started.

The talent has been there all along. Sick of hearing that it hasn't. It's how it is utilized! We seem to have a problem with that. Hope this coach is different. I have heard that he is, but we will all see soon. Pretty sure it will be obvious if he's here to please boosters and the "somebody's" or to win ballgames.

Cats mixed first and second team players into two offensive and defensive units in jamboree. I don't think the outcome was what anyone expected with all the buzz around the program, but we will be much better when the starters all play together. Young team....new coach......laugh while you can.
