Lots of good names a floating around. I'll go with Coach Scott Blair. Local hometown boy, great family, and a excellent role model. Add an O- Coordinator, A D guy, and a strength & conditioning man and lets go.... ​

Seems pretty accurate. I would almost go wash in every category. Should be a good game. I say Page 31-27.

You're correct. Think he's done a decent job at Richland but not real sure about how he'd do at GC. Got any names Truth?

I like Coach Krieskey. Don't know if I spelled it correctly. He has a program set up. Hard worker.

Is there any shot of getting Kriesky? Other than these boards, I don't hear much about the search. I don't even know if Coach Kriesky would be interested. I could almost guarantee he'd build up a solid program at GCHS.

PlaytheGame150. How is that prediction you made in July standing at this point? Seems your insight about LC was bit off now the Falcons are 5-1 and #15 in state in total defense...

 

 

Predictions for Lincoln County...add another fast food restaurant, lose another factory, add to the welfare population, dream about the '93 season, waste time talking about future teams, lose home attendance by game 3, have a mediocre team that struggles to make it to the playoffs, exit first round, same story, different season.

 

 

My prediction is looking a bit off, isn't it? Doesn't look like they're going to make it to that first round exit 

Respect to you for saying that. It takes talent to win IMO. Giles has talent and a hard working coach can win there. But the Giles faithful should not stand for a coach bending and breaking the rules like OC did.

Would love to see the Bobcats get a honest man that's a great coach and wiling to work as hard as OC/staff and be a part of the GC community. The brickyard can be one of the most dynamic atmospheres in high school ball.

Got more of a sense on how football works compared to you friend. And I don't care about how Giles beat Marshall last season. Not a fan of either. But I know that Marshall will win by 2 TDs or more Friday night. Too many athletes and better coaches. Page is again proven overrated. 😉

Coach Palmer is a dang good man and coach but like I said earlier those are qualities that Giles County doesn't want. Wasn't Moos at Forrest and couldn't win before Coleman and Kriesky got there and turned that mess around? Could be thinking about another coach and if so I apologize!!

Coach Palmer is an outstanding man. But go check out his coaching record. Believe it or not, it's possible to get a coach that can win and has great character.

Anyone ever looked at Don Thomas's coaching record? A joke. Alvin Palmer is excellent at coaching God given talent but couldn't coach himself out of a wet paper sack. Beddingfield doesn't want a HC position. OC is going to finish his years for retirement in Bama. Idk who Rick rice is, but Kriesky and Moos would be good fits. Need to clean house though.

Not buying into the Page hype...don't be surprised to see MC run away with this one. Remember last season? Aren't the players the same?

It amazes me how you guys back a guy that cheated his way to the top and dog a guy that runs a clean program. Just goes to show you all people care about is winning at any cost. There is a reason the guy left, if the talent was still there so would he. It's not like he's setting the world on fire in Alabama.

7A football in Alabama is like small college ball. And OC has brought a once mediocre Buckhorn program to the playoffs every season he has been there. They're currently 4-1. The talent pool had nothing to do with him leaving. GC was fully DEVELOPED and loaded when he left.

The guys like Cam Ordway, Al Gray, Bo Wallace, Rico McGraw just aren't there now. They are the guys who turned Giles County into a good team. There is not that kind of talent there now!!

Did you watch any of Ordway's senior season? I saw a lot of horrible attitude and laziness. McGraw never touched the field as a Bobcat. And I would be bet my entire life savings that if you talked to Bo or Al that they'd both tell you they were successful because they were DEVELOPED by a hard working coaching staff. The "no talent" excuse is usually given by those that are too ignorant to know how much time and hard work it takes to DEVELOP talent. HARD WORK will beat talent every now and then. Not be standing at 0-5. So take your garbage excuse elsewhere. I GUARANTEE OC's staff could've taken this year's Bobcat team and would be 4-1 at the least. All it takes is to go watch just one day of Walt's team in the weightroom vs Osteen's or Beddingfield's and you'll be blown away at the differences. There's still potential at GC, just has to be DEVELOPED!

My bad, underestimated the Bobcats...Lawrence county did score 14 vs S'ville, but please don't count me in as a lewisburgvillain...MC has avg 40+ pts a game. I've watched both teams play and a Osteen ran team is a tad above a Walt/Flippo ran team

I was feelin kinda iffy about tonight until I checked out the tiggers performance so far this year, 1 loss and 2 wins over teams which have combined for 0 wins..... Hey anything could happen

And Giles county lost to a team who had not even scored in their first 2 games...

The way our stands look and how terrible we look, I say all the meetings Smith has been involved in this week will pay off. Hopefully he will be shipped off and Flippo can run this program. I say after this game 0-4.

Be careful what you wish for, there's a reason Flippo isn't at Athens anymore. Isn't Flippo the QB coach? How do the QBs look? And I would think most decent coaches could've judged Walt and seen where the bobcat program was headed
