Not sure if this was the question but were you referring to "how many athletes at GRUNDY could be playing in the SEC in the last 4 years?" First off no one said about playing in the SEC, it was just about playing at the next level. To answer your question I would thank probably at least 5 off the top of my head and there is one playing or was playing not sure if he still is down at the university of the south. But I have just found your question and tried to answer without putting much thought into it? How many do you think sir?

Did anyone see a Seq. parent cause a scene near the fieldhouse after the game? If so, what was that all about?

I love Grundy sports and I support all the SV during playoff time but I agree there hasn't been many at all that could go d-1 around here in years! Have there been some that got over looked from all teams yes of course but those kids dont come around often anywhere around here! You guys need to ho watch Alcoa Maryville those types of teams to see D1 ball players , blackmon would be another! Like I said before FB isnt for everyone yes we got good atheletes walking the halls its always been like that. July practice and getting hit in the mouth all day isnt for everyone thats the nature of the beast! Would it be nice to have them of course! Ill say this and if you have ever played football then you ll agree! If you truly love football no coach or coaching staff would keep you away! Bcuz when the lights are turned on Friday night and your 15 to 18 years old nothing else matters!!!!!!!!

Hijacking your point, there haven't been a dozen SEC types in last 25 years in the entire valley/Grundy. Division I types probably but not the highest level blue chips with NFL potential like you see all over the SEC.

Please, please don't judge an entire fan base by two idiots with a smartphone. For the most part the coaches and players are greatly supported. Our fans were amazing tonight. Our players play their butts off for coach Bryant. Some people, such as beav, cheer for the county to fail so they can complain. They simply don't want to see others succeed. But tonight Beav, your tears taste so sweet.

It does not change the outcome I wouldn't think. Sequatchie still wins by 21+. We still have no defense!

It's midway through the 3rd qt. I just wanted to post during the game to show that I'm not coach Bryant or any member of the coaching staff. Once again "ol beav" the coward is lost.

Never mentioned a kid. Said beaver is a dad who's kid couldn't hang and I stand by that. Don't have a clue who his kid is, and couldn't care less. My post about specifics, i.e., the trash can, was referring to Beavers angry post during that incident. Maybe your mod hat was left on the coat rack during them days. Don't know Jamie Jacks, doesn't matter to me what his problem is or isn't. If he handled it behind closed doors, then that's his business. But reguardless, point taken.

I support everything at GRUNDY I always have and I always will. If we aren't responsible enough adults to get our student athletes someone that can help them excel on the field, hardwood, or the diamond, then we are failures as adults, parents, coaches, board members, and director of schools! We are suppose to strive to get our athletes into college, you know Brag, sale your great players! Get the word out for them send highlight videos out to schools, help them pad there stats! I'm obsessed with our student athletes not having the great opportunity that they need to get to the next level because of the coaching staffs our board members an director of schools have gave them! That's what rubs me the wrong way knowing that we could be better than 4-6, 5-5 and this years 2 or 3 wins we might get with the talent we have had in the last few years. It's absolutely pitiful!! These jr jackets could go unbeaten this year and the same kids get to high school they will not get above .500 with what's there now. It's the same kids they beat back then as jr jackets but cannot touch them in high school because they are being coached better. It's just frustrated and humiliating!

 

lets talk about this JR jackets team, whom I haven't seen play by the way. You say they could go undefeated. We lets say they lose their best player for the season, for arguements sake lets say he wears the #3 jersey. Then what would you say their record this year will be? Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

 

Because that's what's happened the past two years to the high school team. Last year they lost a player who is probably the best athlete to come through the school in the last 5-7 years. Then when we played that mighty Marion team you speak of we had two more of our better players suspended (off the field issues, although I'm sure you expect Coach Bryant to watch over them while they are at high school parties and 4wheelin in the cove).

 

So this year we lose our best athlete again (maybe not best player but best athlete). This kid had to have surgery on his chest that I believe was a very serious operation. (I'm sure you expected coach Bryant to heal him also.)

 

Your last post is so pathetic that I am embarassed for you. If you really did care about Grundy athletics you wouldn't get on a public forum (which the players read) and bash their coach. You're a coward who jumps on a message board, claiming to be a huge fan, when in truth your feelings are hurt because it didn't work out for you. Grow up guy, In the real world when a small plastic garbage can barely bumps into you no one cares.

I totally agree valley expert. When you hire a head coach that's never even coached at all! What do you expect?? Then he loves reading the post here on coachT and changes screen names ever so often just so he can or family member can defend him! Yea Tallahassee I'm talking about you. Sounds like that Jr. jacket coach might be threatening someone's job if they keep putting up good showings week after week. This has nothing to do with sour grapes it's just getting tired of our boys working there butts off and being humiliated week after week, with no signs of getting any better! That's all.
