It was about the same. Meigs was up 22-0 at the half but was playing very consistently with I think 5 different players running the ball. They did the same in the second half and started getting subs in early. I’m interested in seeing if Marion in fully healthy, they scored more on Westmoreland than Watertown and TC combined they might get us all.

I wish we were healthy. Marion is the 4th dog in the east race for sure.

Here is how I see it… I picked MC to represent the East this year, so I’m going to say they are the favorite. They’re big, strong and fast, so no doubt they will and should be favored!

With that said, this H2O team is really dangerous right now and are playing with confidence. If H2O can keep the momentum up and win on the defensive line… I like our chances a lot…I don’t care who’s playing for MC!

You guys have definitely gotten better since the beginning of the season. If #7 was running like he was the first part of the season I would be pretty confident MC could pull it off. Our kids will play hard regardless though.

I'm thinking they are letting on like we are going to roll. I absolutely know better. They fought us to the last whistle last year and we had the better team. They return everyone from that team. If 7 plays he makes a huge difference. I don't trust them that he is hurt. Will have to wait until Friday to see, but I feel like they are letting on just to come up and send us to basketball season in ugly fashion lol.

You'll see Friday. He won't be as explosive as last year and you'll notice. When he got hurt on the 2nd play against Meigs he probably would've scored. He still played most of the rest of the game. Had a perfect pass for a TD dropped on that 1st drive last week. Had 1 dropped against Westmoreland and also a screen dropped that more than likely would have scored too. I've watched him since he was 5 yrs old shred defenses and it's tough seeing him limited now. He's a gamer though.

You certain? That’s odd he’s playing at all though? Who was the others out this week?

I’m trying to decide on driving to Decatur or Watertown Friday!

I am positive. I won't discuss specifics of an injury. Maybe when the season is over people will know the extent of his injury. He's one of the toughest kids to ever play here. That much I can say.

I would go to Decatur. It should be a better game.

Wasn't the 30+ point win that I thought it would be but a 21 point win. I will say that Westmoreland put up more of a fight than I thought but having some key players out for Marion hurt too. I will give my props to Westmoreland players as they fought hard but Marion is on a mission right now and I don't see anyone stopping them until they meet Meigs again. Even then I still think Marion pulls it out.

Marion season ends next week I'm afraid.

Last week was my first opportunity to go to Jasper.

It was a great experience. Beautiful country drive up over the plateau and through the valley. Had several nice eating options. Went with an all you can eat country buffet that was amazing.

Then the game itself was pretty nice. Them folks at Marion put on a good show and support their team really well. We got treated to a fireworks show. First time I seen that at a high school game.

Great atmosphere for high school football there in Jasper

Thanks Tiger. We had plans for parachutes but the weather derailed that. One game we had 4 guys parachute in with flags and game ball. We try to do that at least once a year.

    Glad you enjoyed the atmosphere.

First class post PP as was your posting after that game in '16...Just can't expect to compete with the big dogs if a main cog goes down...And that can happen to any of us at any time...We're looking for a huge performance from the youngest Jones brother tonight; Should take care of business but ya just never know

Didn't know there was a younger Jones. Good luck to you guys tonight.

Truth, you're always a first class poster, but do you remember our game in '16? When our QB/FS went down in the first qtr? Remember the MC posters that said us losing one player made absolutely no difference?  It makes a huge difference when one of your studs goes down, especially on a team of 50 players

I can remember the game and most said the game would've been a lot tighter. I feel like MC would've won but it could have went either way. Jones was certainly a stud and it absolutely changed that game for sure. When Taye went down funny we all knew we would be in trouble. He is the leader and like Jones he did everything he could to stay in and be productive. He just couldn't run and in the 2nd series you could see that the Meigs coaches knew he wasn't a threat and adjusted to the other backs. Fantastic kid and I'm sure will try to play but know for a fact he isn't 100%.

The jasper folks have told me this is a foregone conclusion that they are gonna win friday

Folks on here? I think 1 MC fan has said that. Some on here from Tyner, Seq, Meigs, Watertown, Trousdale, etc.... have said we would win

  10. It's easy to judge from the outside looking in but the man is 32-6 in 3 yrs and those 6 losses by a combined 20 pts and half of that was Friday night. I'm guessing there's something else that's causing some of the fans to be wanting a change. Hopefully you guys get it all sorted out.
