I have a question for anybody that is debating this award...

What justifies Mr. Football Nomination?

Stats alone?

Team record?

Character?

Career?

Grade level?

Just curious before I mention any names

Against decent teams.  Your common opponent with C'ville, Eagleville, beat both of you by a lot, and only gave up a touchdown or less in each of those.  Are we on the same level as an Eagleville?  Maybe, maybe not, but we are a scrappy bunch with more than just a few athletes.  We will play to Cornersville's level, and then some.  Now, I'm not as rabid as some of the South Pittsburg fellas, but when I put on my Orange-colored glasses, I can usually see pretty clearly.  Time will tell, and that time is Friday at 7.  Until and after Friday, the Tigers can and will claim their share of the R-5  1-A  hierarchy.   How do you feel about a three-way Fuhrer?

Answering Sum1uno...they may be better. The game I watched they had a bad game. My Raiders were fired up and played well enough to win. 

As far as a three-way Varo...how are tie breakers decided. IF Fayetteville beats Cornersville and it ends up that way, what happens? It would be a tragedy to see region placement based on coin flips!

I still personally believe the region will finish as follows: Just a prediction and plenty of games left to decide the outcome....been correct so far. I will stick to my guns until that changes

I have watched every game Moore County has played this year. I have seen both Cornersville and Fayetteville. From my perspective Fayetteville has some athletes, but don't play anywhere near the level Cornersville plays. The Bulldogs have a motor that won't quit. It will be a great game to watch!

I'm predicting Cornersville to impose their WILL on Fayetteville. They will hit Fayetteville in the mouth until the Tigers won't want to finish the game.

If Cornersville kicks it in early it may be worse than that!

I would donate the money to buy a whiskey barrel to put dates and scores on if they would ever agree to that! I missed the first year because of traveling on business. I have missed very few Blue Raider games unless they should roll easy and there is a HUGE region game I can go watch that is close by.

We'll see what happens Friday! I'm calling 28-7 upset by my Blue Raiders

I don't see Cornersville losing to Mt Pleasant. It may even be 35-0 if Fayetteville beat MtP up like I heard last week!

This should become Blue Raiders new RIVAL! Everything I have read about the Fayetteville Tigers is they are #1 in region until someone takes their place. I believe that time is now. This year we have athletes to match the Tigers speed. We should be stronger on the OL/DL. 

Either way I wish Friday would hurry up. I'm ready for dry weather and good football

I was at the Moore/Cornersville game Friday night and boy was I wrong! I'll be the first to admit my Blue Raiders were outmatched vs the Bulldogs. I am calling Cornersville to go undefeated in the region. There isn't a team as tough and athletic as Cornersville. The have a great combination of size, speed, experience and they are well coached. Some teams may play them close, but NONE will beat them. They are on a mission seems like

Why is there not more on this game? 2 very good teams who could possibly be playing for 1st and 2nd in the region! Rain or shine I have my seat picked out ready to watch my Blue Raiders!

What are some good places to eat before the game? Can't wait to see those golden trees

Moore County? Yeah I could see why you're jealous of Sp... where yall play this Friday? Didn't yall have that cheating Mac McCurry for a while.. how long was he cheating before yall found the needles?

I've only lived in Lynchburg for a couple of years. Just started following them team. We are young and just got an intergetic coach who is doing a great job. He may start to gets kids from other places once we start playing better (hopefully next year).

By no means am I jealous, I just hate cheating. If it's true South Pitt isn't cheating then I'm cool. But doubt channel 4 would get involved if there wasn't good cause. I also know the TSSAA doesn't investigate anything and they take your word.

Can't wait to see a good game.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm a Moore Co fan who enjoys traveling and watching region 4A teams. I traveled last year to this game and came away highly empressed! But what I hate is anyone who cheats, especially someone who gets away with it. The only thing I know about this situation is what I saw on the news. Seems like TSSAA needs to step in. Cornersville deserved to play someone who follows the rules and so does Fayetteville and anyone else who is effected by this bracket!

I didn't go to a playoff game last night and was watching the news only to see channel 4 questioning whether South Pittsburg cheats! Bahahaha....oh wait Roy I forgot you're not joking!?!?!

When do they announce finalists?

How does everyone think region 4a will do playing teams in the east? Who will be playing each other, traveling, hosting, winning, or going home early?

Why does people feel the need to hate on another kid? Brandon is a Great football player and just as good of a student and kid. He often rode with me this summer to exposure camps and workouts. Watching him against some of the Top prospects in TN and KY he is one of the Top DB's period. BTW D.J Average s 8.8 a carry. DJ also is a great kid with great grades and ACT.

That is awesome. Glad to see coaches taking kids to camps to send them to higher levels after high school. Both are amazing football players!

I have seen this kid play a couple of times. Against my team he scored from 70+ yards receiving on the 1st play from scrimmage. The 2nd time he touched the ball he went 70+ yards on the ground. And the first pass we threw all game he picked off and took it in for a TD from over 65+ yards out!!! Fun kid to watch

I'm sure the other kids are more deserving and I haven't seen them play, but you'll never convince me there is anyone more electrifying in 1A to watch! Good luck Brandon, you make Region 4A proud!!

I saw where CA and Summertown are going 2A. Are there any other changes that will happen in this region...teams moving in or out?

What is the game of the week this week? Doesn't seem like very interesting matchups this late in the season! Maybe Fayetteville vs Cornersville? Both teams vying for 2nd in region. I would go watch Huntland vs Grace, but I'm not making the trip up I65

What is the region looking like up to this point as far as rankings? Who possibly will each playoff team face? Gonna start making playoffs travels now since my Raiders won't make it until next year!

Hate to hear about punches and extra stuff happening after plays. Hopefully my Raiders won't let that happen again, if that is true. I know it happens, just hate to hear it from my team. Taylor is very good. Maybe he needs to play offense in college!
