Stevens won't even show up for the weekly radio show or take calls from the community. When is the last time he took questions from the media? He has no respect from the players, parents, fellow teachers, students or community. Heck, when 150 fans show up for a home game you know you've hit bottom. It's time to Buck Up and move on. Ram Dad

Are you from another planet? They have a term....it's called FIRING. I don't know of any place where the employee gets to decide when they want to leave. SS has managed to destroy a tradition in 4 short years. We will take it back and restore it next year. He won't be coaching football at OR. He may teach at the alternative school and get to buy a ticket for games, but he wont be on the sidelines unless he carrys the chains. Ole Dad

Turtle, You are hilarious. Stevens has lost 14 games in the last 3 seasons and missed the playoffs 2 of those years on the "Double" Ron Brown rule. Oak Ridge has had only 2 losing seasons in 60 years and they would have lost 8 games this year if were not for Saunder??™s special teams play against Fulton and a last second score against Billy Blount. Lussier, Gattis, Young and Hale averaged about 2 losses a year for the entire time they coached. Stevens is double that despite Lussier leaving him a State Championship group. Farragut has only beaten Oak Ridge 7 times in 34 attempts and 3 of them are the last 3 years under Stevens. I can go on and on, but I figured even as dumb as you are you can get the picture. Oak Ridge is not looking for mercy, only a new coach. If Farragut won the next 20 years against Oak Ridge the series would be about even. Once we replace Bailey, Green, and Stevens with people who actually are committed to excellence we will return and put a regular "Beat Down" on The Admirals as usual. He hadn't proven anything to Stevens so instead of sticking around and contributing and proving himself to the new coach he got bitter and quit and then bad mouthed the coaches and program. You would think he would have been busy coaching the game and not listening to the announcements and since it was halftime and he was down by 27 that may have been a good time to spend coaching your team in preparation for the 2nd half. At one time in the game The Owls had 500+ yards and Oak Ridge had 18. The Oak Ridger article must have been written by Bailey and Stevens as it puts the cause of no one attending the game being the weather. It also talks about Oak Ridge gaining lots of yards late in the game. You think that may have been because the Owls were playing their 9th graders? Oak Ridge is averaging 19 points a game on offense this year. Lussier??™s last season his team averaged 42 points a game against much stronger competition. When Bailey hired Stevens he was touting him as the coach who would bring a new high powered offense to Oak Ridge and get all the players that were ignored by Lussier to come out for football.
