Cannon now tied with Macon in the district standings. Will be interesting to see how these last two games will play out for all the teams
Do u know the updated standings Cannonguy. Who does everybody have left to play.
DeKalb has 2 very winnable games left. Both at Home vs Macon and Smith.

DC don't match up well with CC. Dc got nothing inside, and CC controlled the boards for 2 1/2 -3 quarters,

Very possible Dexter10. The coach at Cannon has done a nice job with this team. Oh I was there Moonshiner, so Jones and Cook have around 32 at Watertown and get hardly nothing vs Cannon. Boards is a effort type of skill.

DeKalb goes to Watertown and wins , then comes back home and loses to Cannon. Go figure.
-
DeKalb has lost 3 times to Cannon. Very hard to explain that one. So up and down.
-
I thought DeKalb would or should be around 5-4 like Macon and Watertown. I bet Upperman wins the district. Yorks loss to Macon will kill them in a tie breaker situation.
My final prediction
1. Upp
2. York
3. LA
4. Watertown
5. Macon
6. Cannon
7. DeKalb
8. Smith
What's everyone else's thoughts and predictions.

Smith and Upperman score kind of surprised me. Any details Dexter 10?

DC gave Livingston all they could handle. Led almost the entire game and fell in OT. Was a fun game to watch but wish we could have pulled it out. Oh well, on to Watertown Friday.
Great game dctiger. Wish the boys could have pulled it out. Getting a little better each and every game. On to Watertown.

If it wasn't for the one Dekalb guard going off in the 1sr qtr game might've been 30 at the half.
When normalcy prevailed it was a physical dominance.
Dekalb boys play hard, there is ZERO shame in that! They play hard and with sportsmanship.
Just limited physically.
From posts on here the expectations are totally unrealistic from the home people. They just aren't very good.... But they do compete and that's a testament to the kids and the coach.
Tnhoosier I agree with some of your comments. There is know way this team should be 3-17, absolutely blows everyone's mind that our record is this bad. Did we all believe we would be world beaters absolutely not. My guess was that the Tigers would be .500 or better on the season. Just my opinion, believed by most. My expectations for this team in the district were middle of the pack. My expectations for the boys rose after the coaches preseason assessment at the beginning of the yea on his WJLE show. He said there is no doubt with the talent on this team and the way we played this summer that we can't finish 3rd or 4th in the district. We all fell in, especially with most teams losing a great deal of starters from each team other than York and Upperman. Oh well, this is my observation and opinion. 3-17 are you kidding me, wait till next year.

Upperman handles LA tonight 69-56.
Big win for Upperman tonight. DeKalb goes down to York, looked good after 1st Q only down 2. Midway thru the 4th we were down 28 pts. Our reserves pulled the margin to 21. Sanders got a Technical, and the game seemed to turn. Took the wind out of our sails. Looks like Watertown and Macon picked up good wins tonight.

They we're received well. We got enough problems than worrying about Coach Sanders and coach Vance. Good win for them
Never seen Smith Co basketball this bad. Whats going on. Girls seem to be trending upward. Hopefully you guys get things turned around. Looks like my Tigers are definitely headed in the right direction. Will definitely find out Fri vs York.

Congratulations to the Dekalb boys. 2 in a row, keep it up boys. Smith not very good at all, poorly coached. Good win for Sanders back in his hometown.
-
Macon is better.

Manhandled tonight without a dooubt. Lady Tigers will bounce back

Congratulations to Dekalb. No doubt who the better team was tonight. Congratulations to the players and coaches. Let's go get 2 in a row at Smith.

Dekalbs best shot of winning and snapping our losing streak is next week at Smith. Macon winning at York was a shock, especially the margin.
What's everybody's thoughts on Dekalb. Man we are 1-16.

Dctiger what did you think about the Lady Tigers performance tonight?

Are they all freshmen? And is there any players in 7-8 grade?
Not any talented 8th graders coming up. Talent is sparse with the Freshman and Sophomores and incoming 8th graders for next year. You think this year is bad, wait till the next few years.

I've not seen the Dekalb varsity play yet. The JV I've seen a couple of times once at Upperman play day and again at Watertown. I a years time kids can change significantly but as of now not a ton of help coming up from JV. At the UHS play day they had a big kid 6' 3" maybe #210 not bad had a decent game but didn't see him at Watertown figured they pulled him up to varsity.
UTRok, i hope you are right. Things can definitely change in a years time. Hopefully we get a little luck on our side this time and jv kids get significantly better.

I know, but if you look back expectations were very low before the season started from everybody except DC folks. 2 returning starters, the best player injured, the rest with little experience, new coach with new system, it is what it is. Terrible defense? Yea, but that's the part I can't figure out....offense too. Last night during the 1st half, everything looked pretty good, especially against a good team like WC, but fell apart in the 1st 5-6 minutes of the 2nd half. I don't get it. But I do like seeing the younger guys getting their feet wet when things get out of hand, They are a little wide eyed now but that will pay off in the long run and I heard a parent say the JV has played as many games as varsity this year and have looked good,,,,That don't help right now but at least it's something.
Not just DC folks had high expectations . The Coach on his preseason WJLE radio plainly states that this team could finish in the top 4. So he had high hopes, if you don't believe that then you sure don't tell everyone that. You will see how talented these JV kids are next year when all these seniors graduate, they aren't that talented. Just my humble opinion, but they are getting lots of playing time and experience for all the blowouts we are in. Oh well, enjoy the weekend and see you back at the Den on Tue. Lets get some Bees.

Such a disservice for the kids. Warren coach needs to step aside.
