It was a very good game just like the one at McMinn with the Cherokees winning that one 6-5 in a well pitched game. The pitcher was Shiloh Ryan from McMinn and yes he pitched a very well game and so did the pitcher from Cumberland County. Good luck to both teams as the season goes on. thumb

The way McMinn has played this year with a 10-2 record so far they look like they might have a pretty solid chance of going to the state. There pitching has been good and the hitting has been very solid all year long.

They play each other again on Saturday of this week. Will the Cherokees will again or will the Chargers want revenge against the Cherokees.

Tonight the McMinn County Cherokees beat the Cumberland County Jets 6-5 at McMinn's field. That is a big district win for the Cherokees and tomorrow they play at Cumberland who wins?and how do the Cherokees finish in district play?

I think that Justin Higdon and Brandon Farrow should be considered as two of the best.

Either the Dodgers or the Giants. the Giants might not now that they have lost Barry bonds for at least the first half of the season and the Dodgers added JD Drew to there lineup nut lost Adrian Beltre to Seatle it will be a close one but the Dodgers win it by 2 games

The Braves will win the Nl East by more than 8 games over the Marlins the Mets will not be much of a contender. The Braves will meet the Red Sox in the World Series which will be one of the best ever and it will be a very good matchup.

This past week McMinn County went to Orlando and swept the competition by beating 3 good teams. What are everyones thoughts about how good McMinn is this year?

i think that the Atlanta Braves will win it with the addition of Tim Hudson and John Smoltz retruning to the rotation makes it a dangerous one plus the offense returns the two Jones, Estrada,Giles, and Furcal they have good pitching and good hitting which will carry them to the World Series!!!! thumb

McMinn beat Central tonight 16-2. They hit Dustin Hearn very very hard with home runs by Will Dowdy, Jonathon King, Morgan Gibson, and a grand slam by Wade Gossett. the pitching was very well for McMinn with Shiloh Ryan doing well and Dj. Sliger in his relief. Good game for the Cherokees!!!

i agree they do not know how to play defense and it is not a team game it is just every man for his self and college is way better than the NBA!!!!

5-2 tomorrow they play Central and then on Spring Break they heads towards Florida for a tournament in Orlando or somewhere close to that.

The game was rained out Tuesday night but they made it up tonight with the Cherokees winning it 4-1!!! Adam Ray went 6 innings and pitched very well the Cherokees had some good hits and it was enough for the win along with the good pitching and dj sliger closed it out in the 7th inning.

Farragut game has already passed and Farragut won 10-2 but McMinn still gets to play them 2 more times.

I think that Mcminn wins this one by 6+. There bats are hot and Central will not hit there pitching. So McMinn 9 Central 2!!! thumb
