  1. I want Jake to prove me wrong. I want the kid to succeed. I just don't think as much credit should be awarded that has been given in the last. He might have led the team on paper. But Harlan had the leadership and poise needed to win. However on a side note, I have been out of the area for awhile now. Once upon a time I played for HHS. But no time recently. I just enjoyed watching the boys play last year. Didn't mean to sound attacking towards Saunders. No harm was meant toward the Kid
  2. I wouldn't say Saunders put the final nails in the coffin. I would definitely say Harlan did the nailing to the Harpeth squad last year in the championship game, and he did not get the credit he deserved. Harlan lead the team that game when the Harpeth team played good enough defense on Saunders to win the game. However, Harlan was Cheathams saving grace for sure in that game. That game was a long time ago and it's time to move on. The Cheatham squad will be much better than expected this year. Douglas is my favorite on the team for sure, he's a great leader and hustles every play. I still don't see them being able to handle the guard play of Harpeth though. Heritage could surprise me this season after losing Siezmore and Cunningham. I'm excited for distric play. I want to see how this works out
  3. Saunders couldn't handle the pressure. And I highly doubt he will be anywhere next year. He doesn't have to grades nor attitude to complete at the college level. On another note, Cheatham is better than anyone thought they would be, although I see Harpeth still pulling this one off. They lost the distric championship last year in a hard fought battle. Anyone that was at the game knows that Harpeth had that game, until they broke down. They will be coming for blood this year. We will see how Harpeth does against East this Tuesday as they play them on the road this week
  4. I believe Harpeth is the team to beat this year. Granted they lost Anderton, Williams could very easily step into his shoes. Williams had several 15+ games last year and definitely will be the leader in scoring for the team this year. They lost their big man inside, Clayton, but they are bound to have a younger kid step up. I'm curious to see who will become the leaders on the floor this year for this Harpeth team. Anderton and Clayton We're the obvious leaders of the team last year. The younger Anderton has some handles and should become a good leader this year as well as Austin Williams. That being said, every team lost key players. I'm excited to see how this year pans out.
