I heard Ligma has applied. Deafinately a contender IMO
Applied? Already? The ink on Blade’s resignation letter has not even dried. It happened yesterday? Lol

Not sure what the issue is at West Creek, but I know they have players in that building. Every school in CMCSS has players. They probably should be more successful than they have been, regardless who is coaching them. CMCSS is known across the state as a system that puts very little support into their athletic programs. That must change, for all CMCSS schools.

Any names being mentioned for the Clarksville NE job?
-
My mistake ladies. I was including Smyrna because they had a vote. Just seeing their name made me rush to type. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Didn’t mean to mislead.

How did Dickson Co get 3 votes...lol
I saw that as well. I was posting to give the Rutherford County schools some love with 3 teams in top 10 and was wondering how Smyrna was left out of top 10 this week and noticed Dickson got 3 votes. Looking at the schedule, they have not won a game the last 2 seasons to this point. That could change this Friday.

Cane Ridge over LaVergne
Smyrna over Antioch
Overton over Northwest
Dickson County over McGavock

I see DCA winning this one. Defense seems to be stout and they have a very good run game to eat clock and keep it away from FCS.

They made an inside hire.
Job was posted on CMCSS website on 3/31. Since that date, nothing has happened. Who is inside hire?

I guess it is time to revisit this again. I am assuming Goodpasture has spoken to Coach Paul Wade in some form or fashion.

Any coach who steps in walks into a situation where they can get to 6A playoffs in a hurry. This region may be the weakest in all classes of TN football. Antioch: 1 win over McGavock 0-9 (Forfeit win v Overton). Overton: 1-6, with a win over Antioch. Dickson 0-9 (forfeit win v McGavock), Cane Ridge 3-5(but always solid). LaVergene and Smyrna had some success. Someone has to win 2 games against Dickson, McGavock, Antioch and Overton and they are in. That means at least 1 more week of practice to develop kids for the betterment of the program. If I am DIckson, Smyrna and LaVergne, I am somewhat concerned about even playing the metro schools because they may not get to play at all because of the Pandemic. That means forfeit wins. We could be looking at a scenario of Dickson, Smyrna and LaVergne picking up 4 forfeit wins each. I hope that is not the case and they all get to play.

Like Oakland in the late 80’s, this coach onside kicks nearly 100% of the time.
If you are talking about the Oakland kicker Garth Petreli in the late 80's, they never actually onside kick. He was so good at what he did they actually had him try to kick the ball as hard as he could at one of the nearest upmen on the return team. If he missed, then it made it down around inside the 15 yard line before returners could get a handle on it. If it hit the upmen (like it did most of the time), then Oakland would recover it. It also prevented the front line from blocking because they were too bust dodging the ball.

Who are front runners for this job?

What's the deal with this school? I know Northeast and Clarksville are the better programs in the city, however it seems Northwest has a solid talent base. Why do so many coaches fail to cultivate that talent?
For years, The problem with Northwest was it is a location very close to Fort Campbell and is an area that military personnel would live if they chose to live off base. Very transient area with transfers of soldiers and their families. You could lose kids in mid season, especially if Fort Knox needed a great tailback or a couple of linemen. *Wink, Wink

Northwest needs to hire the guy who calls offense at Stewart Co. He made them so much better and has a lot of experience.

If you haven’t heard what happened to cause shelbyville to let him go after they paid for him to back out of the Siegel job I’m not going to put the man’s business out in here. Just say it wasn’t very Christian like. Once again, he’s been a very successful coach but there’s baggage that come with it
Who is “they”?

Kriesky would do a good job. I know he is not the "big" or the hot choice etc but he is a good coach. He is from and lives in that area as well. But let me throw another name out there for you. How about a Justin Plamer?
If you want someone who can develop QBs & get the community involved, then Palmer is your guy. His offenses are very good. I am not sure if he would want to leave Alabama and come back to Tennessee, but we will sit back and watch.
